You have us all dying to know, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see you silly! Phew, I've been working on my ornaments all night and had to take a break, but I will be finished tonight, yee haw!

I had a wonderful day out with Jerry, Lowe's and Mexican food, can't beat that with a stick! My honey bought me a new super duper shower head combo with a rainshower head AND a hand held shower and installed it all tonight. Ahhh, I can't wait to get under there and try it!

If that is true I am in biggggg trouble.
Work has been from 5am to 7pm 6 days and if that is not enough, my Mom fell on the concrete again, and my Aunt is having surgery Thursday. But it looks like everyone will be ok, which is the important part.
I might get the ornaments done, but I sure can't promise I will.....feel bad but some of the circumstances are beyond my control.

Not good at guessing games, so will have to wait and see what you make out of those bottle caps. I started saving the caps from Lipton green tea with citrus and had collected so many with no idea what I was going to do with them. Ended up tossing them out, will I be sorry?

Morning everybody, in a mad dash to get ready and get to class. Coffee hot and steaming, so watch ya don't burn your tongues. Got up to late so it fruit bars only around this morning from here. Sure don't want to have to go out, car has no heater or defroster. Gonna shiver all the way to class. brrrrrrr

Hope a lot of you are not buried in tons of snow this morning. Though I must admit seeign the first snow down untouched sure is pretty to look at.

Phyllis - I have black magic elephant ears - I just cut off the tops when they go dormant - when all the leaves die - in your zone I think at that point you need to lift them and store like other non-hardy bulbs - if you put them in a pot before the leaves die - you should be able to overwinter as a houseplant - I still have a lot of plants to do this with - hate to have to just buy them every year

Came home from seeing Momma yesterday... made supper and crashed on the couch..lol... and went straight to bed, and don't feel any better for it this morning..lol

Everyone in a rush this AM and I'm still trying to get the sleep out of my eyes. Looks like another nice day, all the fires are almost out what a relief. They are letting people go back into their homes, but some have no homes to go back to. They sift through the rubble trying to save something.

Got an e-mail picture from niece in Rochester, NY of her 5 yr. old trying to catch first snowflake on his tongue while waiting for the school bus. Yep, I guess winter is coming early to everyone. Keep warm!!

We can't use the term hottie anymore dear, due to DG rules, but we are the Brug Addicts I think, or HBA's.....I often think of you in your cozy little tent drinking hot chocolate, haha! Hello, everyone. Karen invited me over. I stopped at the foor but did not see anyone to show my invite to so I just barged on in. I hope that you all do not mind.
I have been reading the thread and am happy to meet all of you.
I received my first brug cuttings last week in a trade and saw my first roots last night. I am so excited. I went out to the shed and gathered some old two liter bottles and used a soldering iron to cut them to pot size and put drain holes in them. I am gonna need them as started pots. It will buy me some time while I look for bigger pots.

Hey Kathy, so glad you decided to come by and join us! You will have so much fun here girl! Most of us are rooting cuttings right now too, as this is the time of year they are cut back everywhere. What cuttings did you get? I'm sure we can help you with your addiction ;) Would you like some more? I know Kim was sending "starter packs" to Brug newbies and I probably have a couple too. Isn't it exciting! We are definately enablers here, LOL!

I am very much in want of more. I have a noid pink and a noid white. I also have a MEM and candida pink. A daughter gave me a subscription to DG for my birthday Oct 29 and I have been drooling over the brug pics ever since. I never heard of them before. I finally decided that pic drooling was bad for my keyboard and a waste of water so I traded for a couple of brugs. I have 20 acres and it would not displease me to fill it with brugs. I guess it would displease me when I had to carry water over 20 acres but I can dream can't I?

HAHA, it only took me 2 weeks after being on DG to find the Brugs also! And I haven't stopped since...I had never heard of them either. Don't drool on your keyboard too much it might short it out.......on second thought, drool all you want, here's a bib ^_^ And you can ALWAYS buy another keyboard!

I scrounged an old shower curtain to put over the keyboard. I could not let anything happen to my link to those amazing brugs.

Oh, Kathy, I think supplying water to 20 acres is TOTALLY doable.. lol (lots and lots of water hose) It's not a good time of year for cuttings, for me anyway, as I've already given them away, and with our freezing temps, they may not make it through the mail, but I will have more. Not sure where Eunice MO from Kansas City, but I may even be able to give you a big plant in person someday. We have a Midwest DG round up in spring and fall, hope you'll be able to make one of those.. they are usually around the Sedalia area. A bib?? I never thought of that!

I love 2 liter bottles. I use them to separate betts in the aquarium. They are great flower pots. They are super for growing algae to feed the daphnia. Setting in the sun by the garden during summer they give me warm water to wash hands or veggies for snack. They are great domes for setting out starts early in year. I even use them to collect heat to radiate out at night to protect seedlings in cold frame.

LOL yeah got a gift subscription less than a month ago and already I am known all over the forum. Way back in kidnergarten my teacher said Kathy talks too much. I have not changed. I am still talking a lot albeit via keyboard.

Snow is not all that it is cracked up to be. I moved down here to Missouri to get away from having snow on the ground from thanksgiving to easter. I do not want to totally get away from having 4 seasons because I love them all but I love winter and snow to be short. Who says I can't have it all?

Kathy you will find your home with us then if you are the chatty type, hehehe! From 1st grade to 12th every report card I took home had a check by "talks too much"...

No I don't mind it on X-mas eve....
But if we have to have any I'd rather the first be about a foot or two..

Yep Miss Lillis actually put on the card "talks too much" others said it nicer Cute little teacher comments like "Kathy is such a joy to have in class but she talks too much" Some used phrases like "has so much to share" Some had the nerve to say I had trouble staying on task but my work was done! I was always first one done with any assignment. I talked because what else are you gonna do when your work is done and you are stuck having to sit at that dumb desk waiting for everyone else to get done. I am grateful to be "old" because today they would have put me on ritalin or some other drug.
