Celia - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!
Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt 27
Well we made our alcohol run, we got 200ml bottles of everything, except the Kahlua: coffee flavored Bailey's, Kahlua 370ml, Crown Royal, Makers Mark, Courvolsier Cognac, and Pennsylvania Dutch original egg nog w/ rum, brandy, and blended whisky, so we're both catching a buzz. YUM! Dave's messing with the turkey, guess he decided to cook it today. I need to go plant my perennials in the ground before they die in the pots.
Happy Birthday Celia!!
Sharon, go online and you can get some good prices on winter gear. Check out the clearance sections too.
Yep, she bloomed and today the blooms fell off. :~( But it's still alive. I need to repot it but I'm gonna hold off on that as long as possible. Preferably til spring. LOL
Crissy, one of us can probably give you cuttings next year. Just keep bugging us and we will send you some. lol
Oh Yay, Thank you! So I planted a bunch of stuff, a couple of Hot Lips, a Morning Glory, and bulbs of mixed Crocus, mixed Rock Garden Alluim, Sky Blue Lilies, and Striped Tulips. I think some of these are planted too close together and I forgot to use the bulb food, but I think they'll make it. Now I need about 3 more plants and that flowerbed will be good to go, then I have the front flowerbed and any other bed I want to build. I have a bunch of Red Spider Lilies to plant but they don't bloom until the fall so I think I'll wait until spring or summer, I guess that's how those are done?
Oh, the bottle of Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Nog is gone LOL I drank the whole bottle! Glad I don't plan on going anywhere! LOL
Pepper - I do the on-line thing for everything except clothes. The problem being that I inherited my mother's side of "big boob's". I have to try everything one. It's bummer, I can't stand it, but DH loves them. They're his toys...
LOL Sharon! I'm long legged so I have to try on every pair of pants I want to buy, it's a pain but looks good! I have one big boob, does that count? ^_^
LOL! I'll be more than happy to share! Want some extrac boobage? LOL!

Yes!! A little on the left and a whole lot on the right LOL
ROTFL!! I have more of an athletic build. Skinny all the way around with long arms and long legs. If jeans are less than 32" long I don't like em. And I can't wear sweat pants or flannel pants cause they shrink so I look like Urkel. Drives me insane!! LOL!!
I have long arms too. If I have any pants shorter than 36" length I look like I'm going through a flood.
Pepper - I;m the same way about the length of my pants. I'm "long-waisted" and have to have long pants as well.
Here is my genetic "make-up". My Mom's side of the family was German and English, they were all under 5'6" tall, all the women had huge boobs. My Dad's (this is where it gets real fun) English, French, Scottish, Irish and Cherokee - okaaaay - they were all 6'4" and shorter - all the women were A cups.
My oldest brother looked 100% Cherokee, black hair, blue eyes, hook nose and could never grow any facial hair
My sister was strawberry blond and looked German.
My twin brother had auburn hair, chocolate brown eyes with really long lashes (grrrr) and had a slight German look (he looked like a carbon copy of my dad's brother).
I have auburn hair, green/hazel eyes (they get really green when I get really angry) and look like a girly Steve (see above). I'm the shortest at 5'8".
Quite the mix, huh? LOL!
LOL That is a mix! We're mixed up too, but nothing like that! Mom's side are all brunettes with blue eyes, every female that I've seen pictures of has big boobs except for my mom, but she is the tallest at 5'6", very average build. Dad's side are all brunette with brown eyes, I don't know the heights except my dad is 6', very skinny and lanky with long legs, short body, and long arms. I ended up right in the middle, I am 5'9", 36" jean length, long arms, average boobs, (well, one is anyway lol) I know I am German, Chickasaw Indian, and English. Dave says I look French. I have been trying to trace the family roots but can't find anything past my dad's dad, who was born in Sacramento, CA. My dad's sister said before she unexpectedly passed that she was all the way back to 1810 and we were still in Sacramento, so we were assuming that we were part of the group that settled at Sutters Fort. I forgot what that group was called. hhhmmmmmmmmmm.
All the guys in my family were very handsome. My friends would some over and say "Your Dad, Mike, Steve are so handsome. I come over here to see them". I was like "Thanks"...
My sister was 5'10", pale blue eyes, she modeled for a while then got married, gained 100lbs (no joke) and started driving a school bus. My oldest brother (6'2") was very handsome in a rugged chilseled Cherokee sort of way.
It was funny because we all looked different (except for me & Steve), but when we were all lined up you could tell we came from the same stock. All our eyes have the same angle to them. People would see me & Steve together and say "oooh twins, they must be twins, are you twins?" like it was an odd thing to see LOL! We'd laugh. I miss him the most.
ROTFLOL at you girls!!! Too funny.
I am a mixed breed, too. English, Irish, Welsh, Native American and Spanish. And don't even talk about shirt sizes! LOL I have to buy L or XL to accomodate "the girls". Of course, my rear has gotten larger these days, so, it kind of evens out! ;-)
Had a great time with Crystal yesterday! She took me shopping and out to dinner.
Oh, Crissy! We had an owl out here not too long ago. I heard a couple of hoooooo's and a hoo-hoo hoo hooooooo. Only the once since we've lived here. 5 years and one owl.
Mix of German and Blackfoot and some others that I don't know of. My Blackfoot hertiage comes thru my tan. I stand outside for five minutes and I have a tan. My German comes thru in my temper. LOL. There are lots of Native Americans on my father's side and my grandpa on my mom's side was full blooded Blackfoot.
Hey, Blackfoot here, too! People always look down when I tell them that. ☺
LOL!!!
There is a gallery run by some Blackfoot in Browning, MT. I have wanted to go there for years. I'll have to see if I can find the link again. I came close to making it there 5 yrs ago but Glacier was closed due to wildfires and we couldn't get up there.
Yes, see if you can find it. I would love to go there.
That's awesome! July is the next pow-wow. I would so love to go. We had the Lakota Souix have their's just down the street from us every year and we'd go. When we weren't there, we can hear the drums and singing. Thye aren't having it there anymore and we can't find where they ARE going to be.
Celia – LOL – me too on the shirt sizes! I always have to try them on though. My rear hasn’t gotten it’s gotten flatter! My hips have spread some too YAY!
Crissy – You are all leg!
I don’t get it – why would people look down oon your for being Blackfoot? I’ve forgotten my history. Regardless – it’s all in the past ya’know…not you had anything to do with history.
Pepper – I stand outside for 5 minutes I get a sunburn LOL! I don’t tan, well I do, but it takes all Summer to get a tan so why bother LOL!
Celia and Pepper – You 2 should try to go to the Blackfoot gallery together! That is a cool link! Did you read some of the comments?
Kansas offers Cherokee as a 2nd language in their schools. Isn’t that neat?
I hear thunder... :) I love thunder
Sharon, you are supposed to be getting some pretty strong storms down there in Florida today.
LOL I think she's saying they look down at her feet, looking at the "blackfoot" LOL
I am all legs, it's a pain in the rear trying to find any kind of pants long enough for me. I don't have a problem with sleeves being too short anymore though. hhhmmmmm.
I don't tan either, well I do, if I burn 5 times first!
I'm glad you had a good time with Crystal yesterday Celia, you deserve it!
crissy - LOL! I get it now! I'm such a dork :P
Sharon I'm going to check the weather on accuweather, be right back...
Oh you have a lot of neat weather going on. I got an alert on my phone a little bit ago that says we're supposed to get rain/snow mix today, it's 41 degrees outside, it ain't going to snow lol! The advisory expires today at 5pm, that temp better drop a lot in the next 5 hours lol! What's weird is it could.
Yeah, we've got an interesting system here. Our high was 72, but we never made it. The temps have been dropping steadily as the system moves through. It hasn't become this heavy rainfall that was predicted (so far), it's been pretty steady which is exactly what we need. We haven't had any significant rainfall since late Sept/early Oct. Our low is 47 tonight and our high tmorrow is 59. I'm loving it :)
Well, Mother Nature just made a liar out of me, it's snowing!! It'll never stick. No wonder the wind chill feels colder than what the weather is saying, it probably is!
Oh you need the rain bad, so what part of Florida are you in?
I'd love to see snow again! Way Northeast on a barrier island - under Cumberland Island/St. Marys, Georgia - as far North as one can get without being in GA LOL!
It's showing rain on the radar lol No one knows what it's doing! I'm not going to walmart for awhile LOL!
Yep, I'm staying home today. Has anyone ever joined Curves?
I'm a member of Curves, have been for years.
You like? Apparently yes since you've been a member for so long. See what happens to me when I can't shop on the weekend? I become a dork!
No you're not a dork. I do like it but haven't been going. If you go the 3 days a week, 30 minutes a day it will help you, but if you slack off from that all it will do is make you hungry and gain weight. There is more jogging than specific machines there and I have a slight tear in the cartilage in my left knee so I can't jog at all. They say I can go in and just work out with my arms, but my legs are the problem and I can't have the surgery needed to fix my knee at this point in time, so I'm thinking a regular gym would be better for me, then Dave would be able to go too.
Crissy, it's snowing here and has been since 4:30 yesterday. Temps were and are again above freezing. Right now it's 35. It actually went down cause it was 36. lol
Crissy - Yeah, unless you get the cardio then it's hard to maintain. I'm going over options, but living on a small island has limits. The YMCA is $50/mo for one person - which is pretty steep to me. The only other "gym" here leans more towards young people with already buff bodies and it's $70/month. I'm just not into it. There is one other place called the Dome Healing Center - which is more holistic and very close to my job - it's $30/month. I'm really leaning more towards Dome - not just for the cost, but less stress on my joints..."I ain't gettin' any younger"! LOL!
http://www.domehealingcenter.com/index.html
Pepper - Snow for you too! We're at a damp 60 now, feels like 53.
If it was that warm up here I would be wearing shorts. LOL
I am in shorts LOL!
LOL!! Well, earlier I said it was 41 and snowing, it's now 37 and no precipitation but the house is dripping big time. I pay $36.00 a month at Curves, and have transferred 4 times within the last year. You don't have to work out very hard at all at Curves, and some don't care what you do. I'd go check it out. I just can't jog and don't see the point in skipping it or walking, I'd have to up my time in there to an hour and who wants to do that??? LOL
Well, well...y'all been busy while I was away! LOL
