The appt. went okay. I always feel relaxed afterwards. Darrell has one in an hour. He said he might skip it but I told him he's under so much stress w/family that it's worth the money so he can get a mini spa treatment. He's going.

I need to make a Chiro appt too since my neck has been hurting for too long and so has my back. I've just been procrastinating about it so haven't done it yet. Will next week though. It's getting to be too much.

Well, I was supposed to have an interview at Sears today but when we called to get directions to the HR office there, the girl said they were done hiring so there wasn't a need to come to the interview unless I wanted to. :~(

So instead we went shopping and then went and picked up my new hearing aids. I hate wearing new aids for at least 2 weeks and will complain like you wouldn't believe. UGH!!!!!!

I so hate when they call for an interview and then tell you they aren't hiring! Ugh! is right!

No, no Griffiths. I'm related to Whitney, Haston, Flowers, Schultz, and Bohne, most are in Texas, New Mexico, and California. My great uncle's name was Nolan Haston and he never married, had children, or any other family related thing. Every year for Thanksgiving or Christmas he would take the senior bus trip to Reno or Tahoe to gamble and drink. He was a heavy drinker and didn't want to be around family during these times.

I visit the chiropractor once a month. I have bone spurs on my tailbone so that keeps those in check, plus spine straightning is always good!

No, he never went to the hospital. Last night when I got home it had gone down a lot and I could see it but not near as pronounced. He said it is hot and has been putting ice on it and stretching it a lot, and when he pushes on it he can feel the muscle cramp right up the right side of his neck, said it feels like he strained it. It wouldn't surprise me any with the way he flails around and thinks he has to do everything himself. The big problem is he thinks that something has to be done immediately, when in fact if it waits a few minutes the house isn't going to fall down on top of us, the sky is not falling lol!

No, the sky is never falling! LOL

I hope he didn't tear the muscle. That would take forever to heal. It's good he's icing it, though. Make him go. ☺

Went to the chiro today. He put me back in and said to do heat therapy to relax the muscles and to use a towel under my neck for a few days to keep it stretched. I feel somewhat better but still have limited movement in my neck.

He didn't tear it, he can move too easily. He used to body build in his 20's and now he's 47 and doesn't even go to a gym, so he cramps in some very weird places. I remember about 5 years ago, actually it's been 5 years to the week, how weird is that, I had just moved him into my house, and he was coming home from the gym. He does these leg kicks, he can kick over his head and pretty much move his body in any position he wants to. Well, he did these kicks at the gym but didn't stretch before he started doing them, and tore a calf muscle. He never went to the dr and he fully recovered, but it was 6 to 7 weeks before he was fully functionable again. He's got almost all of his neck and arm motion back already, it's only been 4 days, so I'm not too worried at this point.

Okay, that's good. My Dr. told me 99% of muscle cramps are do to not enough water. Does he drink water?

He used to drink about 3 gallons a day, but since he quit going to the gym, when we moved here 1 1/2 years ago, he hasn't been drinking as much, he's stuck on the Hawaiian Punches and juices, which are good too but it's not water.

I would send some along but they ate it all!!!

The really funny part was, even though I can in 4th place, it disappeared 2nd. huh...guess the ones who liked it, liked it more than all the others.

I agree the one who puts it on should not enter but he put it on so he could show off his cooking skills. Darrell said it WAS good. LOL I don't begrudge him the win, I just think it wasn't "completely" fair.

Man that's not fair! I agree - the person hosting shouldn't be eligible for an award. I remember going to the cook-offs with my mom in TX. We always had such a good time. Although some people made the chili so {{HOT}} I couldn't eat it.

DH let Justin get a tattoo last night...sigh. I really wish he hadn't, but this is one of those learning lessons that they will both have to deal with later. Justin is going to join the Marines after high school, so I pretty much assssyooooomed he would get one then. I think 16 is too young though. I regret the one I got when I was 38, not that anyone can see it, but still. I'm going to get some "wrecking balm" and remove it.

Justin is going to his "Uncle's" this weekend. He is a Marine and in from Irag. He is taking Justin to DC so Justin can have that experience with a true Marine. I think it will be a great experience for him.

Well, I have to get ready for work, off at 3pm today YAY!

I never go anywhere any more. I used to travel all the time but these days...nothing. Oregon in July and nothing before that except Oregon for dad's funeral last January.

Went to see Twilight today. I kinda liked it. Very much a romance.

I want to see Four Christmases. And I can't wait til Mamma Mia comes out on DVD. I want to see that again.

I love the music for that one. I haven't seen it.

I have a funny story about last night. I put together my sweet potato casserole and used the hand mixer to combine the ingredients. Well...I didn't have my glasses on and thought I was pushing the button to eject the mixing forks. NOPE!!! I pushed the boost button and sweet potato and pineapple went EVERYWHERE in my kitchen!!! LOL I had it in my hair, on the floor, the walls 6' away! I'm still finding it this morning. Dumb, dumb, sumb...☺

Well, back from the dinner. It was nice but kind of subdued as we got some MORE bad news earlier. My mom's last sibling passed away last night. Our Uncle Kent lived in the next town over. I have no idea how Aunt Betty is taking it as I haven't been able to talk to her yet. I will make sure and talk to her tomorrow and maybe even go over to the house.

On the upside, Crystal is leaving about 7:30am and should be here around 10:30am. She's going to be here all weekend! Yea!!!

I'm stiil full from yesterday! LOL

I'm not!! LOL. I do have some leftover bread pudding that I am gonna heat up here in about 30 minutes. And I just ate not long ago. LOL

Well, I went shopping today. Went to a big town about 20 minutes from here and we thought that since we were going in the late morning instead of early, early morning we wouldn't have much traffic to deal with. HAH!!! Traffic was mostly at a standstill going in. At one point we sat at one light thru 7 changes. It took 30 minutes to go a half mile. Our destination? JcPennys. They had leather coats on sale for $50. Regular price was over $200. I ran in and got a coat then my mom and I got a few other things and then got in line. The line was suprisingly fast. We were outta there in less than 15 minutes. Yeah!!

Oh, and my hibiscus bloomed today!!! I had no clue that it was even close to busting open til I walked in here this morning and I had two blooms waiting. It's gorgeous!! Thanks Sharon for getting them for me and Celia!!

Celia, I'm so sorry about the loss of your uncle. What horrible news.

OMG we did the Black Friday thing yesterday morning at 10, 10:30ish in Hot Springs. It really wasn't bad there, but it's a smaller city. We went to the mall there and bought something, I don't remember what. I was looking for a Kitchenaid stand mixer and that specific JCPenney doesn't have kitchen stuff, and what Dave wanted was already sold out, so we walked the mall and found Dillards, I bought a Calphalon bakeware set, then we left and had bbq for lunch, then went shoe shopping at a New Balance store, which Dave didn't find anything, so we came home.

LOL Celia I hate it when that happens!! Tiga wouldn't have wanted any part of it, she doesn't like table scraps at all, unless it's some sort of bird LOL

Well, we haven't had our turkey yet. We forgot to take it out of the freezer before we went to Shreveport, so we're a little behind. He wants to cook it tomorrow.

Well, I have to get my tail in the shower, he wants to do a WalMart run and I need some alcohol in this house, we have ran out! I'm going to grab some egg nog too :o

Pepper – Good job on the coat! Winter gear here costs an arm and a leg. I always go to Darien, GA to get sweaters and coats, etc. So much cheaper when you buy in an area where they are a necessity LOL! So glad she bloomed for you :)
Crissy – DH bought me the red Kitchenaide mixer for Christmas last year. I’ve been drooling over them for a very long time. I only have 2 pieces of Calphalon. I use them all the time. No alcohol???? Yikes! Actually I’m in the same boat…need to make a run.

I've got my tree up and a couple of little doodads, but that's about it. Need to get moving on that as well :)
