I just went shopping today at an artist's co-op out in the middle of nowhere run by a former art teacher of mine. I only allowed myself to get bread and cinnamon rolls. Then a slab of ribs for lunch. LOL
Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt 27
Oh gosh!!! Ribs are my all-time favorite! LOL I get them every chance I can.
I have two cornish hens in the crockpot right now. I should have gotten ribs! ☺
I prefer baby back beef ribs but pork will do when done right. LOL
I love ribs! Dave won't buy them because he won't spend the money when you're "just buying a bone." so I don't get them very often, but when I do it's a real treat!
I love baked cornish hens too.
JUST buying bones?!?! OMG!!! I'm speechless...☺☺☺
The hens I made into soup. Wild rice was added as well as baby carrots and onions. Mmm...it fed us twice.
Yea, that's what he says. He loves ribs too, I don't get it.
Oh yum, that sounds good. We had lunch to celebrate the month of November birthdays today, and since my birthday is in November I didn't have to pay for mine WooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooooooo! Does catfish have tryptophan in it?
Don't know about catfish but "fish" is listed as a source. So is chocolate!!!
Hey! Mine should be free, too, then! ☺☺☺
Yes, you should have been here for lunch!! No wonder I'm always tired after I eat chocolate! LOL
LOL ☺☺☺
Applied online at Sears today and have interview on Monday. Crazy!!
Wow!! How about you Celia, have you heard from JC Penney?
Not one word. I guess I'll have to drag me hind end down there. I'm getting so lazy! LOL
I applied at Jared online. I'll be going there tomorrow.
Sears is the only place to get back with me. I'm jumping on it. Don't know if I will get hired but am gonna try.
Huh, I figured JC Penney would be calling you real quick. I am lazy lol! Good luck with Jared!
Good luck with Sears too!!
Celia, apply for temporary work at some of the stores to start out with and you will have a better chance of getting hired since it's the holiday shopping season.
That's the whole idea. ☺
LOL I'm thinking about picking up some weekend work to keep me out of trouble!
I hate weekend work unless it's at a barn. I do all my shopping and errands on weekends.
I do my shopping and errands whenever.
Amanda, I would LOVE to have a barn to work in! LOL Right now, I'd settle for a greenhouse. We keep making plans for putting ours up but I keep having medical issues when we have time. What's up with that? The pinched nerve, the sore feet, the back pains...SHEESH!!!
I have things to do in the yard. Have to get some things trimmed and planted. Seeds mostly.
Good Grief! I need to plant bulbs but the weather is a bit cold, but I don't think it's going to warm up either. I guess I need to bundle up and just get out there and do it!
So does anyone know, when a Mexican Petunia goes dormant do you still need to water it?
Yeah, bundle up. LOL How cold is it? It's 60º here.
Don't know on the petunia. It's a xeriscape plant. Is it in a pot on in the ground?
It's 60 here too, with a 10 degree wind chill factor. It's not bad if you're standing out of the wind.
Crissy, don't bother watering the mexican petunia unless it's in a pot this winter. In fact don't water plants at all this winter unless they are in pots. They don't need it.
We hit 60 today too. But with NO wind!! I raked and burned leaves. Bottom's gonna drop out on the temps this week.
I need to go see me grandma this week or call her anyways. I have flies and other bugs coming out of my potted plants and need to kill them.
Does your grandma have a cure for your bugs or is she the cause? (sorry, I had to) ☺
LOL. I was given a recipe by a friend of mine so I will use it and see what happens.
A recipe for...grandmas? Mine came ready made.
Ok, I won't water anything except for whats in the pots. I forgot my Lime Zinger outside now the leaves are all kapoot. I'm thinking about taking it out of the pot, cutting the top off, and putting it in the garage for the winter.
LOL about the recipe!

I was in a weird mood yesterdday. I kept thinking something was going to happen but then nothing did. Huh...
I have a chiropractic appt. this morning. Maybe it will help my back. It's "popping" now. I bend over and when I stand back up..."pop". Strange. Doc says I have degenerating...sorry, can't remember now. Maybe I should have what's left of my BRAIN checked! LOL Anyway, it's the stuff in between the vertebrae.
Sounds like a good idea on the Lime Zinger. Is that the elephant ear?
Yea, it is an elephant ear. If it's big enough it'll survive in the ground throughout the winter, but mine only had 3 leaves on it, with a 4th coming out and all gone now. Oh well, the stems are still healthy.
I'm in a weird mood today, had crab last night with a friend and we pigged out, found crab on my purse when I got to work this morning lol!
Ew, ew, ew!!! LOL You really DID pig out! Flinging food about and all!
LOL!!
That's hysterical LOL!
Oh it was delicious. They boil it in some sort of spices that has cayenne pepper in it so it's a little spicy, some pieces are spicier than others. Plus the 2 red potatoes and small ear of corn they give you with it, that's also boiled in the same spices yum!
Oh gosh! Sounds awesome!
It really does..you're making me hungry! I'm making chicken chili on Saturday for our yard sale part 2....it's so good!
You feelin' better, Sharon?
Yeah, I've got my "midnight dj" voice going! Everyone is laughing at me LOL! You ought to hear me sing....I'm way off key, but I don't care :)
You SHOULDN'T hear me sing but I don't care, either. I do it anyway, too. I love the midnight dj voice.
Sharon, eat something with cinammon in it. I was on the verge of catching a cold that has both my parents deep in it's grip and so far I've only had sneezing a few times and voice is a bit scratchy. But now it's pretty much all gone. I've been eating a couple slices of cinammon and sugar toast for breakfast this week. My dad was the one to tell me about the cinammon. Seems to work. :~)
Garlic, I'm a fan of garlic. I used to get colds and flus all the time, since I've been with Dave for the last 5 years and he cooks with garlic, I'm hardly ever sick anymore. I can feel the cold coming on, but I keep fighting it. Night time Alka-Seltzer cold and flu by night and garlic by day, plus a Flintstones vitamin every night at bedtime. We went out for pizza tonight and ordered a side of chopped raw garlic and put on it, it was delicious and virus ridding lol!
