We started with the idea...

A bunch of plaster...

A kit forwarded to friends...

Kits mailed out...hoped the reindeer delivery system would be quick..

So as the kits began to arrive, I saw all the ideas starting to come to life...oh what treasures there will be...

Robynznest started with a lovely color of blue

And our Judy picked red...this is the start of her test piece...

Liz decided to add the white fluffy fur to her edges...

Zhinusmom...creativity was rampent...she searched for just the right fur....

Later that day with her ideas in place, the outcome a beautiful Victorian Santa...know it will be the 1st of many...

Yet another 'treasure'...

Now tell me this, who could be more excited than Mibus2... waiting the longest to get her kits...arrived yesterday afternoon and tonight she's posted, 1st of 3 santa's done...imagine that! I'm impressed! Aren't you all? lol

Sitting here scratching my head...did I REALLY send everybody the same kit? Some sure are being creative...LOOOOVVVEEE it... Judy girl, shoes? totally, totally awesome and nowhere near our starting out idea so for your test piece..you get A+

Here is my almost complete Santa. I like the tree but want it to have snow all over it. I also may go with a staff or something else at him feet. Haven't decided yet.

Our Mrs. Judy just got so creative that she forgot to join us most of the day..little more work and her project for her dear friend Judy will be completed...shaking my head Judy, you are creative~~~

Judy wasn't talking much yesterday, now I know why..she was busy creating multiple santas...

Creating hats, different forms..Judy you must have stayed up late to think of these ideas...

Yet another work of art....Phyllis he's just soooo elegant..

OK Here are the two I have finished. THis is my favorite, in velour with a hood.

this is the second one; out of velvet. This is the one I wrestled with and had such a hard time doing. I like the idea of the hat on top and I think I will be using a basket of packages instead of the spreg of greens.
Glad they are done, but not sure either are good enough to give as gifts.

My second one is a different style from my first. This one has a vest over the gown, and a separate hat instead of the shawl.

This is the latest addition....not what I had mind, but sometimes available embellishments dictate the final product.....Still need to decide if I am doing a staff or some other item to go in his left hand....

Trishia, you are amazing! The tooled leather look fabric looks great. He is very unique. Do you use a pattern for the robe or vest? I'm wanting to develop one I can use over and over with set in sleeves.

You can make sleeves with just a square or rectangle, and gather or pleat the top and add it to the robe. If I could, I'd draw it out for you. Maybe turn under the edge of the sleeves like the robe, attach, and gather all the tops of the sleeves and robe

#4 Green shimmer tree fabric gown and sleeves, Dark green velvet fur trimmed vest and Hat.
Bag is fur trimmed, embossed felt.

Where did you find the pretty fluffy fur? I have some, but it's different, and I'd like to find some like yours, too!

Audrey it really isn't fur I found some boa's at hobby lobby that is what I've used on all the Santa's I made wtih the white "fur" on them it just seemed so fluffy and pretty LOL
