Fixing the co-op forum II (continuing the discussion)

the dmail I received was about padding the costs of the plants, AND padding the cost of shipping to the hostess, AND padding the packaging costs "no reason we should do all that work for free' something to that effect. the whole genisus of the email was to get me to increase my packaging fees....so other co-op hostesses didnt get questioned. I refused to do that, and also have refused to participate in anymore of that persons co-ops, once I received that dmail.

Thats why I wholehearteldy think that every co-op host should have a spreadsheet that all participants can see, AND post a copy of the invoice once the order is placed (this proves #1 that the order WAS placed & #2 that shipping and plant cost was not padded) as for the packaging costs... you are all right...it would be hard to do an accounting for those. But I, for one would question a $2 or $3 packaging fee if that is what the hostess is asking for. and if they cant come up with a viable answer (all done in dmail-i've learned my lesson there! lol!) then I just wouldnt participate in that co-op.

I'm pretty bad about using dmail, actually, I put it all on the thread..that way I don't lose track, forget everyone else! This sort of this is not secret or sensitive information. Hosts should not lose money, either, so if there is an extra $10 in the whole accounting for a 20 person co-op, big deal? The s/he has the $5 to pay an ad for the next co-op up front, no worries. :-) (Per new suggestions)

I'm disappointed to learn that would be suggested to you, AngL.
Yes, new thread...

Please be patient folks, I'm working on it. Have to retype all of those suggestions.

maybe once you have the list... Admin can tell us which ones are absolutely a NO-GO? if there are any no-gos lol!

I am sure they are all busy with the photo contest now :o)

Anjl, The ethically challenged are everywhere and we should all boycott them, regardless of how cheap the plants are. That scenario is a pretty good argument for the need for a "Co-op Watchdog". The classified section has a blurb something to the effect that padding the shipping costs won't be tolerated.

OK folks, here's the new thread. Please don't post anything else here.

Follow Buried Teasures instead of the technically challenged!!!!!

Stormyla, you're linking back to this thread, which made it a loop from you know where.
