Sistah, while I am working out the logistic as whether we can or cannot do quilts for a charity I would prefer we table this. My plate is overflowing with the current swaps, festival, Thanksgiving coming up, festival, Christmas shopping to be finished, festival. Well you get the picture. So I can concentrate on the immediate things at hand I would prefer to table this idea until later. Thank Sistah, my brain is beginning to boggle down!!!! Can't do that to an old woman!!!!

I don't think Veteran's day effects retail stores, does it?
I know all the banks, post office, and local, state, federal offices... but aren't retail stores open for Vet's day? Deborah... you have retail experience... answer?

Don't go buy me any fabrics Marion... but, if you have some you're not going to use... I'd love to build my collection again...

Yes BJ the stores are open it is a very BIG Retail day around here, State Workers are all Off so the stores all have big Pre-Thanksgiving/Christmas SALES!!

Sounds like your former student is someone I would love to talk to. I’m a history major, UK History, but I have more knowledge than most of both Middle Eastern and American history, and European, and Russian, but I don’t know much about African history. I also have a fascination with herbal medicine, both what they thought worked and what the modern world has found does work.

How would you know if you did meet the real Santa these days? Ever wonder what he does in the off season? There are so many Santa impersonators that you would just assume he was the real one; like if Elvis is alive he has the best chance of not being discovered by living in Las Vegas and dressing up as younger version of himself.

Marion, it’s not often remembered in this country, but the children provide a reason for us to be better than we are, the young adults provide muscle and imagination, parents (and some others of that age) are caregivers, and after that you become the protector of our history and knowledge. So, it’s not that your “over aged state” just the age where you are wise and should try to pass on your wisdom.

Jaye, that’s one of the ways I try to deal with it, making sure I have enough “me time”.

Most department stores only close 2 to 3 days a year for Thanksgiving day, Christmas day. Some also on Easter Sunday.

They are bright, but it reminds me so much of the trees back home, and I love them. I was going to just make a runner, but I have so many colors now, I think I will make a lap quilt!!! ^_^

I sent 3 boxes today-scents to BJ, a happy box to a friend here that needs it, and my recipe box swap and the special box we were all talking about;)

Also, I got the box for my wreath swap-cost almost $7, it is 36"X16"X16"

Tater do you need Christmas fabric? I have some that has been sitting in my closet for a couple of years now... I was going to make table cloths out of them and never got around to it... So do you need anymore? Please let me know....
Had a good day as hubby and I spent it together... We went golfing, well I should say he went and I tried...LOLOL Then I came home planted some plants I had to get done... So it was a really nice day...
Well we are going to watch the Bucket List... I already seen hubby did not....

My grey is on my head... I was grey in high school and I did dye it then but not now... My mother found my first grey at 5 years old... I am the the looney one Rose...LOL It fits me to a T.....

It's better than this Santa robe I am fighting with right now....fur and stretchy fabric are not my forte.........Purple shoes I can do!!

Several have mentioned having troubles with the stretchy fabric. I do love the purple shoes!!! DD has a pair for Fridays as the school color is purple and gold.
