First on line, ,I never voted for the name, oh well, lost!

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

HAHA, now Clemen you know you are a real BA!

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Clem, we have been in the 70's and 80's all week. We just had a cold front come through. Weather bug says we will be in the 40's at night for at least two to three nights. Then we warm up again. It's Fall in Tx.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

No cold front there girl. and please do not blow it here, ha haa

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

I may be full of hot (cold?) air but not enough to blow it there. No wind bag here. Nope, not me.

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

Was just outside check to see what I missed to bring in.. forgot the pond!.. and my cannas! have a bunch about to bloom.. My EE in the pond I bring that one in and keep it in a rubbermaid mini pond inside for the winter.. it is in a little pot of rock.. no biggie .. right.. just pick it up and put it in a bucket for now... WRONG! leaned over to pick it up .. lifted and up came plant along with a LOOOOONG stream of white roots about 3 ft long with about 6 clumps of new plants with each their own 3 ft streams of roots! I just repotted that thing a couple months ago! It sure liked the repotting I did! My back it about to break from standing there holding it trying to figure out what to do with all of that... finally just coiled up all the roots and piled them on top of the bucket and filled it with water for now. Guess each new plant will get its own pot when I have time and will have to find new homes for them later. I have two mini water gardens in garage for two of them... now.. to go back out and bring in some of my cannas.. at least the potted ones that have buds on them. Darn it.. just got dark too.. I hate that time change! ... and the temp is dropping too..

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Poor Tammie! Your hubby needs to give you a back rub tonight! Where I live, the cannas die back this time of year. I cut them all to the ground and they come back bigger and better every year. I have over 200 of them. I am SO glad I don't live in an area where they have to be dug up and replanted, I'd never have any...too much work for this girl. I already have too much to dig up and pot each year....

Edited for spelling :)

ah Tammie, wish I was there to help really. Even though new growth is exciting, the timing isn't. Bless your heart. I don't have ponds. I have enough work with my land lovers.

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

I hear ya Karen.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Jeanne, I am LOVING my DeLonghi heater!!!! Ain't it the best?

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

the absolute best. Where have they been all my life?

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Just got off the phone with Becky! She is fine, and so is Lyle. He will probably get to go home from the hospital tomorrow. He had a little hole in his spine where their was scar tissue, that didn't want to close up good and leaked a little spinal fluid but they fixed it. She has just been very busy and no time to talk, but may try to get online later.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Well! Howdy do BA's! Look at all of us! Look longer...... You're in here getting all re-acquainted in our new place! ((((Brug Addicts)))) and Miss Karen.. I love the opener, so well put and a BEutiful picture! Clemen? You do not like? Aw.. it's not set in stone.. we, well I was feeling very odd.. like I put my jeans on backwards.. we Needed to pick a name.. it is still on the voting block if you really object.. some of us were able to be here to progress to this point.. but you matter here, sister! Karen THANKS for the Beckie/Lyle report.. so glad everything is under control and he gets to come home so soon! Bet Becky's bout beat! (((Beckie))) Tammie,..... don't envy you bringing stuff in.. poor worker you! HI Jeanne!

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh Clemen, I'm so sorry if you don't like the name....I guess I did jump the gun a little bit but I thought everyone liked it, and I am like Bonnie, wanted to go ahead and get a fresh new start and felt like my pants were on backwards...Please, if anyone doesn't like the name or wants to vote more, let me know! I wasn't trying to be pushy.....

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Gosh Karen and Jeanne... I need to get ME one of those DeLonghi heaters!

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

They are fantastic Bonnie, and I got mine for $59.00 at one Lowe's, but Jean payed over $70.00 at the Lowe's one town over! Best heater I ever bought!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

BA's...... Survivor... -4got...BBL

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Hi Bonnie. Two of your cuttings went into moss today. The rest are still in the bubbler. So far I have lost only one cutting. Killed me too. I hate for anything to die, except spiders. Hate spiders.

There are all kinds of electric oil heaters but DeLonghi got the best ratings and reviews. It heats using less power, is silent and mine has a timer which means I can time it to come on an hour before I go into my sunroom. But tomorrow night I will probably have a fire in the stove.

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

The TV guy is finally gone, he had to install during a down pour so it took forever. Everything is up and running, so I’m happy.

Clemen hope you are not upset about the name. Maybe we jumped the gun a little; several of us were MIA this afternoon. Bonnie is right it is not set in stone.

Tammie I feel for you, save what you can but please don’t get hurt doing it.

Glad to hear that all is well with Beck and family.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

I know this thread started today, we had another one that started yesterday and to me was fine, but have to tell you that first we all need to vote on the name. I never had a chance to vote as so many others, so why don't you post here the different names and we all get to choose. Then we will really know who wants what. I think that is fair to all that have been together for so long. Besides, not even Beckie is here, so that is my suggestion and to all too! Sending hugs and hope it is all understood!

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Relax, let''s just put up the names on a list and we will take votes and be happy!

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

hey ya bruggie addicts UNITED! teehee!

I still like the TM's lol but I'll always be an addict and a TM no matter what you all call me :oD teehee!

karen, I believe the rosemary christmas tree was $20-25 cant really remember but going down to buy it tomorrow :o) and starting my ornaments tonight !! yippee! you all are going to love them :o) teehee!

as for printing or saving a post :

there are 2 ways I do it....simplest is:

click on the blue 'post # 1231564(?)' under the persons name.
just that post will come up in a new window.
then, you can either hit print screen on your keyboard...or
rt click, select all, rt click again and hit print.

I use that just to print one post (instead of the whole thread!) especially when someone posts a recipe, etc.

second choice:
if you want a 'screne shot' which will print or save exactly what you have on your screen....

press 'print screen' on your keyboard.
open a word or notepad document
then right click on the blank document and click paste.
the entire screen will be saved as a screne shot on your word pad, note pad, or ms word document.

hope this helps!

{{Becky}} hope all is well and I cant wait for you to come back! miss your posts girl!

Dr appt today was just routine junk...more labs to make sure numbers are decreasing and they stuck a popsicle stick in my mouth and said yep..you have a sore throat.... gargle and use throat spray!! grrr!
Kidneys still sore but doc swears that will go away and is encouraging me to take pain meds. I hate those, so wont take them. dont wanna mask the pain...want the pain gone!!! grrr!

DH made homemade mac/cheese for dinner...so looks like I'm eating soup instead! lol!

{{hugs to all mu brugie friends!}}

AnjL

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

cross posted with you clem... I agree lets list all the options and let everyone vote...
I just prefer its not something we can get in trouble over :o) please! and BA might offend someone...etc. so I think we need to be careful about the name we pick.

again, I'm hot, I'm an addict, (okay well recovering alcoholic!) and I am a BIG Trouble maker lol! so no matter what we are called... I STILL know who I AM! teehee!

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Hee hee Anne Marie, you used a h word, not allowed, lol! I say C a l i e n t e, !

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

You all choose. I will find you.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Texasgrower glad you figured how to copy, cut and paste with my instructions. I should have said e-mail but you figured it out. This chat got so long since I was on it last.

In the 80's here and will stay that way for a day or two more. The weather gets crazy all over. At least it isn't those terrible hot days we had a while back.

I found some more itty bitty green worms on my brugs so got out the soap spray again. You really need magnifying glasses to see them. Then I got to digging in the dirt in my raised bed, most plants are done and out of there and found so many cut worms, yukky. I took my scooper and took out a lot and guess they will be going out with the trash tonight. I remember my mom and her answer to them, poured boiling water over them after she gathered them up in a pile. I laugh at some of the things she used to do, she always kept the humor going.

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

well... I AM hot! been runnin a fever remember?!

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

I tried Anjl's way and got it right too, Pegi. Imagine, 54 years old and learned two new ways to use my comp today. I feel so accomplished. Thanks for the help you all.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

^_^ I need a lot more learning on computer and I didn't start getting interested in learning anything about them until I was in my late 60's. Thought my brain couldn't handle all this new tech stuff. I always manage to try things the hard way first, and get so frustrated at times. Didn't know I had a draft folder, got to look into that.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Hello everyone... I am not on my puter.. found one right around the corner..lol.. can you believe?? Lyle is doing ok and we should leave in the morning. I am ready to get home!! I went to my own Dr appts today. had Xrays, and MRI this afternoon late. One disk is gone and have 2 huge spurs... guess that is why my neck hurt sooo bad.. anyway, we'll see what they can do with an old woman..lol

Been missing you all!!! Maybe I can read later tonight.. have to get back to Lyle

LOVES!!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Clemen,...Everyone.. I am so sorry that us people today didn't wait for EVERYONE.. my opologies.. I'm sure Karen's post of the new thread was in the excitement of a fresh start for a new name and as I stated above, ..the voting is not closed.. it just felt good to have an identity back.. guess we should handle it more diplomatically.. ..
We will need to keep track of votes... everyone will need to either post their vote here or d-mail a designated person... that person will post the dg'er and the name they voted for, might make it easier to d-mail (anyone want to volunteer?) than congest the thread and make it hard to find the votes....so the designated person would keep editing the post with all the voters and votes posted.. I hope this seems a lot more fair.. all the names were mentioned on the thread between 33 and 35.. Shall we give this a 48 hour voting time? Or should we wait for more ideas? Say 24 hours for the ideas? Then 24 for voting? Or does anyone have any better ideas on ways to keep track of the ideas and the votes?

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Beck so glad you found a puter, great to hear from you.
The food sound good, gotta go find me some.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Ahhhhhhh Bonnie, why r u apologizing, no need for that girl! we are just having fun here and that is all!
