Thank you Deborah... prayers do help.
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞ 51
BJ, Jaye and LK, mailing out fabric for you heading to PO now........
I hope this stuff helps BJ have to have ya in good health for when Cedric comes so we can plan something together with You, Linda, Cedric and I
Debra, I do hope that they can work with Woody so you can keep him! He is beautiful and looks like such a sweet dog.
Please have a safe trip to Cleveland and do your best to de-stress a bit. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers….and Woody too.
Hang in there Stacey…..I discovered that, while I may not think so at the time, things usually work out for the better…….there IS a better job out there waiting for you…((((hugs)))!
BJ you tell that Doc they better find out what’s ailin’ ya….you don’t feel good and you got a bunch of unhappy Sistahs lookin’ over his shoulder!!!!
Marion I am trying to wake up….was up way to late last night…our CSA sent me a notice I didn’t make my last payment…had to go through the records and find my register entry….now have to get with the bank to see if the check was cashed…Heidi will go back through her records also…but if neither of us find it I have to put a stop payment on it re-issue the check….as Pooh Bear would say..”Oh, bother”……
After that made the mistake of checking my regular e-mail…..only do that about once a week these day as most people I talk to are on DG…but had a nice long e-mail from one of my DG friends and by the time I got through that I had to send a very long reply immediately. By the time I did that and wound down it around 2 am…….told my DH this morning to take the car and bring it back at lunch…no way I was getting out of my nice warm bed to go out in the wind and rain this morning…nope…stayed right there under the quilts wait news on and a cup of coffee.
Thanks Jaye…it was a water pump and I managed to get out of it for $136…a lot better than I expected…still have other things that need done on it but they will have to wait. Son says he can do the brakes for me if I can get the parts on payday…..only other cost there is I have to feed him…but that costs less than shop time!!!
BJ, did the DR. tell you anything?
Whew....I had a hard time playing catchup!!!
Hugs all around especially to those who are in pain of one sort or another.
I love you, Sistahs!!
Welcome Harmony...sit a spell. :O)
You can put dragonflies by my name even though I don't really collect anything. I just like them a bunch! Oh, you can put dark chocolate by my name....... ^_^ Just kidding....
BJ, Honey, hope it all works out this time. You've been dealing with that pain for way, way too long!
Yes, Audrey... he told me to take these two antibiotics for 10 days and then come back to his office. After 10 days of taking this, he'll test me again for the H-Pylori ... if we got rid if it, and if I'm still having pains, then that's not what is causing the pains. There's no certainty that H-Pylori is the culprit.
BJ, sure hope the meds work for you. Even a little bit would help?
Audrey, how you feeling today, after your stress test yesterday? You get rested up?
Trisha, glad to hear you got your caer fixed.
Hey Joyce, how you doing? Glad you found us!
Stacey, you home from work yet? Check your mailbox please?
Kung fu panda is a good movie, especially if you can watch it on comapny time!!!
Cindy, I will be watching the mail box for the fabric. Sounds like you got a good price on it too. Nice job.
75 degrees here today, very nice outside. I have been playing in the garden, watering the brugs, and waiting for the buds to open! Please hurry before we get frost. I want to see just one bloom this year!
LK
Oh, Jaye, I had such fun looking for fat quarters for you. When I was in St. Louis I went to a little quilt store and bought a few there and then went to my quilt store here last night and bought more. Right now I have 12 and can't decide which not to send so you may get all 12. While hunting for you, you know I just had to have some myself. Some I bought enough for us both and some just for you and some just for me. This is fun! Gives me a reason (excuse) to buy more fabric.
Gathering more black and white to do that quilt I promised myself. Now I just have to decide what pattern to use. Anybody know of a simple patttern that looks good with only two (or maybe three) colors in it? I like the spectacular, flashy things best.
BJ, please follow thru with going to a different doctor is this doesn't work. When you can't get a real diagnosis that is always the time to ask for a second opinion. No good doctor will object to that.
She is right BJ if they can't find out what is wrong you definitely need to look elsewhere.....someone out there will be able to find out what it is.....and sooner is better.
(((((Hugs and Prayers)))))
I plan on seeing another doctor... but since I already know I have the H-Pylori bacteria, and it's never really been eradicated, and it does attack the stomach ... then, I need to at least follow through with this round of treatment before I move on to something else. But, I promise... if he doesn't come up with a diagnosis after this, I will see another doctor.
That a girl!
Bout time! ;o)
Speaking of movies....we saw Beverly Hills Chichuaua while in MN. I loved it. So cute. Good kids movie.
Sisters, what can I say? I'm humbled beyond words and a little in shock. Today's mail included a birthday card from my BSF's (best sisters forever) and it had a check inside with directions 'it is to be spent on quilting or crafting materials'. It also says 'know that we love you'! Well, I feel loved and I love you all back. I thought the butterfly kit was a way cool gift and nearly fell over when I opened this card. DH thought you were all such nice people to send the butterfly kit - he is beginning to see just how special you really are. He won't believe this.
It won't be hard to decide how to use the birthday money. I already knew I wanted one of those extended surfaces - called a quilters table - for my new sewing machine to make a large flat sewing area - perfect for quilting. That's exactly what your gift will be used for. Every time I use it I will think of each of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Happy birthday! and I'll say it again on your birthday too :0)
Thank you, Deborah. I'll thank each of you individually but it may have to be after we return from Cleveland. Still racing the clock to get ready.
"H-Pylori", a new medical term for me. Got to read up on it, to further understand what you're going through BJ. I pray the meds will work for you and NO MORE pains.
Thanks Cindy. I'm looking forward to those and I have 12 Days of Christmas panels that need some 'wow' borders.
Janice, you are spoiling me!!! Wouldn't that be something if we use the same fabric to do our b/w quilts!!! I'm definitely doing a variation of drunkard's path, unless Kel decided to pick something else. Curves are less threatening that diamonds stars :D Well, I'll start that next year.
Never seen Kung Fu Panda. Now Phyllis, don't you be trying out those moves!!!
Joyce, we tell folks our Lola is a celebrity and that she'd gladly 'paw' autographs!!
Yes it's warm too here, LK. I had to turn on the aircon and this weather is not forgiving to my sinuses!!!
Good for you Debra. Get all the tools you need before you embark on a major quilting project. And you deserve everything good and happy on your birthday!!
BEST SISTAHS FOREVER!!!! (I like that)

Oh, what a wonderful thing to spend your b'day money on... Since you just got your machine, the timing couldn't have been better, huh?
We do love you, BSF Debra. (that's cute, I love the BSF)
Jaye... H. Pylori is a bacteria that entered our country (from Africa, I think) a while back, and has spread to almost 90% of all Americans. Most people never suffer any effects from it, some do. It's been proven to be the cause of some stomach ulcers... the bacteria attaches itself to the stomach lining, and irritates it until an ulcer forms.
I have tested negative for stomach ulcers, so perhaps it hasn't attached itself to my stomach lining. Although it's present in my system... it might still not be what's causing my pain... we'll just have to see in the next 10 days.
BJ, this will affect what I eat in the future.
Found this..
"Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a type of bacteria. Researchers believe that H. pylori is responsible for the majority of peptic ulcers.
H. pylori infection is common in the United States. About 20 percent of people under 40 years old and half of those over 60 years have it. Most infected people, however, do not develop ulcers. Why H. pylori does not cause ulcers in every infected person is not known. Most likely, infection depends on characteristics of the infected person, the type of H. pylori, and other factors yet to be discovered.
Researchers are not certain how people contract H. pylori, but they think it may be through food or water."
So.. as a precaution, I will have to order steaks med. well or (shudder) well done. No more rare to med. rare for me.
It's not in the beef, Jaye...
AND if you going to get it... you've already gotten it... you just may never have any effects from it... most people don't. AND most of those who do have it can live their whole lives without any problems from it.
AND... what I'm going through may not be from the H. Pylori bacteria... since there's no signs that the bacteria has attached to my stomach lining, then it might not be the culprit at all.
Don't change your eating habits just because you're afraid of this bacteria... it's been around a while... and it's NOT life threatening... unless you have ulcers.
Thanks BJ... if I have to give up rare steaks, I might as well order stews!
Keep us posted, and did he give you anything for pain?
I've had something for the pain... He prescribed that 6 months ago when he put me through a whole battery of tests... He gave me 10mg Hydrocodone... but I can only take 1/2 at a time... usually works, but sometimes (if I don't catch it in time, like the early warning spasms), then I have to take the other half... and that knocks me on my butt...
BJ, I thought the name was familiar! I had it when they diagnosed me with gerd. I was told by my best friend who was a nurse ti was from kissing all those teenage boys when I was young!
For those of you who didn't get in the recipe box swap....I made my swap buddy LissaD very happy with my first ever made and crackled recipe box.............
Check it out http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/908100/
Well, Audrey... she might be right... I don't know...
But, you're not alone... there's millions of us out there with it...
BTW... FYI... don't all of you sistahs go out to your doctor now and get tested for the H Pylori bacteria cause your scared you might have it... it's a specialized test, and VERYexpensive... and your insurance may not pay for it unless you're showing symptoms. REALLY... it's not uncommon... only a very small percentage of people who have it ever suffer any effects from it.
Yeah, got to put that footnote there BJ!! I was about to run out of the door and head to the doctor's home!!! Lol!!!
Cindy, so gracious of you to include us, I'll check on it when I get back.
We're off.. yes, didn't have to cook again.. think it will be just plain footlong hotdogs at Sonic's.
Jaye, I got your card today. When I opened it and it said See This Hug? I closed my eyes and pictured you hugging me, it was a very warm feeling. Thank You Dear Sistah
Yea... we're taking the son out for his b'day dinner here in a bit too... since I just wasn't up to it yesterday.
Cindy... I LOVE the recipe box you sent your buddy... you did a GREAT job... I really like the crackle finish on it too.
BJ, I stopped at a thrift store and got some more containers I'm going to take a pix to see if maybe you'd like these also. I'll send to your email......Have a nice dinner and tell your son Happy Birthday
Cindy, that recipe box is very nice. And a candle too! Sounds like she needs more candles from you?
Anyone heard from Tinky lately?
LK
Thanks, I'm glad it turned out like I hoped it would. Now I want to make other wood things so I can crakel them lol
No haven't heard from Stacey. Maybe after her boss getting on her case, she is searching really hard for a new job.
I'll keep my eye out for your email, then.
I gotta wash them first
BSF, I will not be here on Friday, I am renting the Mustang again, for another follow up on my foot, and that also allows me to go shopping at Michaels, and Hobby Lobby!!!
be good, and I will catch you if not Friday night, then Saturday morning!
Tinky, I hope your doing Ok, and not working too hard. Just pop in for a few to say hello please?
Be good.
Cindy, I have the green fabric samples in my purse, and I will pick more up for you.
LK
Thank You LK, drive safe
I just talked to Stacey... she's still reading #49 thread... trying to catch up... she'll be here soon... she promises...
Ok. I was just worried about her not posting for a few days. We have to watch out for each other, we don't need anyone getting lost.
