Had to take punk boy to school.

This is just not right, try and help someone and give them a place to stay until they could get on their feet, kids tear up things, have to fix that then they say there was a fire and we had to tell them they had to go somewhere else left everything including animals with no food or water got them where I could take care of them and took the food out so rodents and bugs wouldnt come looking for a free meal. NOW they are threatening the police for theft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have been gone for a week now and just now getting in contact for their things. I swear I will never do it again.

Ok I feel better, except I have to go and load up all the crap and place it on the "curb"

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Holding my cup and plate!!! Morning--got to teach my daughter to add more coffee to the pot--gives out to soon.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Tia, so sorry to hear your problems. Some people just don't care about anything but themselves!
Marion, got your cup filled, let me know if you need more.
LK

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh Tia, there are just some like that in this world. Sad as it may be. Sending a huge hug and wish I was closer, would help you for sure!!!! Ha! if we were closer when your hubby was gone we could just help each other. Lucky you , yours does come back. Enough or I will get tears on my monitor. Okay now, I am fine--just a weak moment.

Have some coffee--LK made a very good pot!!! Kathy, sharing the cake?

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Oh well I am the type of person who must learn from mistakes. It is usually the hard way.

Nice hot cup of coffee it was a bit chilly this morning.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Yes Marion, we would be partners in crime HE HE HE... How much trouble could we get into.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Are we all really--learn from out mistakes? That is human nature. When will your Mom be home or have I missed that?

Cindy, Trisha, Laura--wake up we need your cheery faces here.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

heres the cake ladies, enjoy!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Weeell, for starters the fabric stores profits might soar!!! LOL My house would definitely get dirtier with threads, strings--well you got the picture.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yummy!!!! Got to go hide those scales that stare at me every morning!!!!

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Oh yea she got home the 22nd of last month. She bought out all of Europe. She has not gotten onto DG yet. I think she missed her sewing machine. She has been sewing since she got back lol.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

lol yea strings and thread always have a way of getting all over the floor.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

A woman I can relate to!!!! I have trying to learn how to use all the things on my new one and my living room is horrible right now. Better than tranquilizers for sure.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

My 2 children thought that was the norm growing up until they went to a friends house whose mother didn't sew. What a shocker for them.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

LOL same here, I grew up with homemade clothes and I hated it, but now I beg her to make me clothes.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Sorry I have been AWOL. Was out of town visiting my 100 yr old father. We had a great visit and have to really go to keep up with him. Now that I am home I need to catch up on my work here. I have to get my buddy her fat squares and I have a T-shirt quilt class this Saturday. In between I really must clean house and take down all the Halloween decorations.
I love the idea of the baby quilts. They are my favorite to make. Lots of bright colors, quick to do, and I tie mine. I used to make them for sale during one of my "out of work" times. Count me in whenever you decide to do these. I'll sew and see if I can talk Stacey into tieing for me.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Welcome back Janice, glad you had a good visit. My dad only made it to 55 yrs old and I miss him so much, but I know he is in a better place.

I am sure Stacey would tie for you.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

hi janice, good to see you back

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Janice, we missed you. How nice about your Dad. My Mom will be 90 in February, can't get around as well as before her fall last summer but her mind will exhaust you!! Memory of an elephant!!!

Thanks for your thoughts on the quilts--have decided to postpone until after the holidays. Everyone everywhere will be in the "giving" spirit then and the need exsist long after the holidays. Hopefully in January we can start this again. I am sure Tink will tie!! Tell her that Disney hangs in the balance and her visit with Stitch!! LOL

Tia, I made all my daughters clothes and mine. Got out of the habit but will attempt to start again. Trouble is I have more fun doing quilts now.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello Janice, glad to see you had a good visit with your Dad! Wow. 100 years old!
Kathy, thanks for the cake, it was really good. Marion, I don't even get my scales out anymore. They just lie to me, so I quit using them!!! LOL!
Threads all over the house, aren't they supposed to be there? And dog hair too? LOL.
I used to work with a lady that was such a neat freak, and she really cleaned her house every day! She swept, mopped, dusted... and her curtains got washed every week-end.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

OH MY... Don just called... he took an earlier flight this morning and will be home before I leave for the Dr appt... I think he wants to go with me. He's as tired of me being sick as I am... sure hope he can keep this civil, because the plan today is to tell the doc to find out what's wrong, or give me my records so I can find another doc who will find the problem.

Don's a really easy going guy... until you get him riled...
Wish me luck.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Good luck and hope they do find out what is the deal. Get well soon hun Hugsssssssss you way!!!!!!!!!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Morning All,

AHHHH I slept in again....I haven't done this in ages...........Then of course I had to watch my shows from last night...nice to have tivo
BJ, Good Luck at doc's

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

{{{{{{{{{{hugs bj}}}}}}}}

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Good luck, BJ! Tell Don to give 'em ^_^!
Kathy, I'll take a piece of that choclate cake, too, please! Y'all, Kathy is a GOOD cook! AND, she dishes out generous slices!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning!!
I survive the "crusher"!!!! If I can post the pics that Marion email me, here.. you all will get a picture of how I felt then!

BJ, sending positive energy your way and I pray the doctor is a good diagnostician. Good for you Don! That's our kind of man, right there by his wife when she needs!

Great cake Sis!! Goes good with coffee. And just because you feel better, doesn't mean you can act like superwoman today. Give your body extra time to recuperate!! Hmm.. I can see her ignoring this.

What scales LK? Oh.. you mean the one I 'intentionally' lost years ago :D At the doctor's office, when it's time to weigh in, I just close my eyes!!

Have a safe trip Debra. You don't give up easily on Woody.. we can see you truly love him. Hope your friend can help Woody.

Tina-Tia... some people somehow know who they can abuse. These maggots feed on others' kindness. I know the Lord tells us to love and help one another, but sometimes I wish He'd give us warning signals!!
Whatever it might have cost you, don't you worry, He'd bless you tenfold!

Urrr. Marion.... anybody.... heard of fabric/textile art? Those strings, scraps, lint hanging around here are very valuable. They'd be incorporated into future art masterpieces that might one day be hanging in the Smithsonian Institute!!

Welcome back Janice!! Did you record the whole visit with your dad?
100 years old..wow!! He's also seeing history being made for this year's election.
I wished I had videos of my parents, but never expected them to die young.

Welcome back Cathy. Come out and hang around with us more. We won't try to beg for fudge :D

Feeling better Audrey?

Trisha, hope your car can be fixed inexpensively!

Cindy, I was supposed to get to bed early last night on account of the appointment, but we watched Law And Order, and we overslept too!! No, didn't think of taping the show...

Stacey, if you could read this, we shan't be calling you out every morning, but will patiently wait till you get home.
Don't want to get you in any trouble, it's bad you're already miserable at your job. (((((((((((HUGS))))))))

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Well I just got back from getting the fat quarters for LK. Sure hope I picked these right. Joann's has the fat quaters already cut. It was much cheaper for me to do it that way than to buy 1/2 yard. I probably wouldn't use the colors I picked for her. Plus they are having 30% off ALL fabrics. I found some colors that I want to use for my eagle panel too. This is going to be fun. This will be my first quilt.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

The nearest Joann will be an hour and a half journey for me.
Did you get the batting too for your quilt while you're there?

Have you decided what to do with the panel. Multi borders will be nice, they'll be like framing the panel.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

No I didn't get the batting, I probably won't get to strat on this until after Christmas. Yes I am going to do borders. I've asked LK to get me some more of the greens that she sent me. The leaves in quaters that LK gave me, match the leaves in the panel, perfectly

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Marion, your fat quarters were mailed out Monday. Hope I did good.

Jaye, don't close your eyes while on the scales. Haven't you heard that about heavy eye lids will tip the scales a few more ounces/

Good luck at the doctor today BJ. I'm glad Don is going with you. Maybe the doctor will see he'd better get on the ball. Maybe he'll offer to send you to a specialist.

Have a safe trip. I'm hoping you sitters will fall in love with Woody (more) and want to take him home.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good decision Cindy, good luck and if you run into any problems like mitering the corners... call on Marion !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Cindy, your Eagle quilt will be beautiful as a hanging mural on the wall too.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh Sistah Deborah, I gained too much since my heart surgery. That's not good for my diabetes..........most from adverse reactions to the meds.
Please pray that I get these excess pounds of me.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I surely well Jaye. Buy a box of special K cereal with strawberries inside. That cereal can replace one meal and help yoou drop some lbs. Ias petite as you all ready are, I can understand how a few extra lbs would make you mesirable(sp). My meds are making me gain weight too. I can usually carry an extra 10 lbs because of my height without it really showing in my clothes. But just knowing it's on me makes me mesirable(sp).

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Special K... I've never tried that.
Yes, I look like an upside down isosceles triangle, anytime I can tip over :(
TY Deborah.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, I talked Don out of going with me... he looked awfully drawn and tired when he walked in the door, and I told him he just needed to go take a nap while I was gone... he's still asleep, poor baby.
The doc is treating the H-Pylori again... first time he bombarded it with some pretty aggressive antibiotics which caused some damage to my liver... liver is healed, and there's a new product now on the market that is gentler on the digestive system... so, I'm taking 2 antibiotics now for it... he still believes that that's the root of my problem... only because that's the only thing I've tested positive for... I'll give this a try... it's only for 10 days.
I've lost 8 lbs since April... only because I've toyed around with my diet so much to see if I could find the trigger for my pains on my own. AND since it only gets bad after I eat a meal, I haven't eaten much lately to avoid the pain. As much as loosing weight is nice... this is not the way I'd like to loose it.

Well, now you know as much as I do... which is very little.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

OH I forgot about mitering corners eeewwww. I have the worst time with that. I've made a few baby blankets with the silk binding.

Deborah, I don't have an empty wall to hang it from. I really want and need a new bedspread, so this will be perfect. Plus Rick really likes it as he collects eagles. He showed me a px of a ring that he likes. I was thinking of getting it for a wedding ring for him when we get married. BTW how tall are you? You look tall in some of the pix of seen. And I meant to tell you, (when I sent the fabric) that I knew you were an apron wearing person. You look the type. They had some really cute apron kits in Joann's.Didn't see any I liked but, one that Both Debra & Deborah would like it had Roosters. I need to make me an apron with a towel attached for when I make candles.....HHHMMMM must go back to Joann's LOL

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I love wearing aprons and the bodice apron pattern is perfect! The pockets hold my many of my gardening tools too. I'm proud of my apron pattern! My kitchen is decorated in roosters, I may have to find some rooster material to make one for cooking.

BJ I'm praying this new antiboic will be just the cure for what's causing the pain.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

well how exciting can work be if I sit here with the laptop and watch movies online ...just watched kung fu panda LOL
