Nope nothing I didnt tell YoU about Becky :o) just a bad night all around :o( Now have to try to keep my eyelids open for the rest of the day :( Have a 3 hour meeting to go to, 2 doc appts (more labs and needles! yuck!) and another meeting this afternoon :( and sometime today gotta swing by Regans to negotiate co-op prices :o) keep your fingers crossed for me... I have to actually drive the car today AND keep my eyelids open! ugh!

1Anjl, be careful out there driving while tired. That is not a good thing. Good luck at the doctor visits, and please keep us posted.

I don't envy any of you going to dr visits.. Becky, that poor momma of yours.. guess you're bound to be dealing with them today.. thoughts are with ya, lady. I slept pretty good, course I played hard over the weekend ;) --in the yard! and I got lots of fresh air. I have those nights, tho where you see every hour on the clock and finally start sleeping good when the alarm wakes you up..

Becky, that big cactus in the brug pot is a gift from Lavender4ever and it is an epi (orchid cactus) called hawaiian bells. It is putting on new growth so it must be somewhat happy. First one I have ever had.

AuntB I am in the ornament exchange. Was surprised we aren't mailing them seperate. It would be fun to receive that many boxes from everyone.

lol about the garage , luckily he broke the garage door opener , and we are too lazy to open it manually . so our old car is in there (2 car garage)and we just park the car in the driveway . so it will make a perfect green house .. lol

Joyce... is it one of those 3 sided cactus with lil stckers on the tips.. or edges of each side??... sorry I am NOT a good describer..lol.. I have one that was in a trade, and have never figured out what it was, but it kinda looked like yours from what I could see in your pic

And put half in the bubbler and half in with my bamboo plant
Their doing abt the same...
And only after 3 days most of the cuttings have nubbies and some are
starting to grow.....
I've had a 100 % rooting rate with the woody ones... (not so good with the thin green ones though)
Do you think that maybe they root better for the owner cause that's what their use to??
I have well water...
Or are Isabella's one of the easier ones to grow??

You have until 12:00 noon on Monday, November 3 to sign up. After that the list will be closed. Each person will have to make/buy a little Christmas ornament for each person on the list. Please nothing large or heavy, like ceramics.

You don't have to make the ornaments or spend alot, little dollar store ornaments will be fine! The spirit and fun of the giving is what counts!

Ornament Shipping Info

I will be using Priority Flat Rate Shipping boxes, shoe box sized (11x 8.5 x5.5) to ship all of your ornaments to you. You may use the same size to ship to me if you wish. The shipping cost will be $9.30 if you purchase the label and print it at USPS.com (may use plain paper to print) or $9.80 if you buy at the post office window. I am going to use newspaper to pack the ornaments so as not to incur any packing costs.

You need to include your prepaid, SELF ADDRESSED Priority Shipping label with your ornaments, for yours to be mailed back to you.

Oh, I can't wait for the ornament swap.. I am NOT crafty at all, so my ornaments will be store bought...Target is already setting up all their Chrsitmas stuff, so gves me a reason to go shopping at my favorite store :o)

Gonna try to get those domestic goddess things done today (I see I didn't say the "bad" word...hee hee)

Only 1 Picture of a Brug in the Whole thing and it was in a Gardening Center. What happened to all of your beautiful Brug Pictures??? It's like the "most viewed" forum just dropped out. Also, not a single "other" child that I recognized!! Beck, you need to share those wet noodles with me! Bonnie you promised to enter your picture, dearest one, what happened? And where is Copo, for heaven sakes... he didn't even represent us.

I just knew I would see some of your beautiful pictures over there and wanted to make sure I voted for my H&Hs. So, if I missed yours, let me know and I will make sure you get my vote. :)) And all kidding aside, it is worth the time to browse through there. Beautiful photos. well, I was getting poked and prodded and looked over by the Dr :o( and then decided that instead of just sitting around waiting for those dumb results.... I went outside and started to do a little yard clean up...cept it started raining again..and now the wind is blowing stuff all over the place! grrrr!

Linda Kay wish I could remember how long it actually took from when I found the buds but of course I did not write the dates down. I seemed like forever though, I would guess about 3 weeks.

We all need to do better next year when it comes to entering the contest. Out of all the bloom pix we posted not one was entered. Not only ours but the rest of the forum to, there always such amazing pix here.

Wo whooooooooooooo Beckie had blooms. I know I have been MIA, but I am back, not all flesh right now, still need to feed hubbie, but will be around this evening, just in case there are some of you around, time for World news, love you all!

Becky, didn't get a pic taken but did look closer. It does have a three sided stalk, but only one or two. How odd...the rest are flat. The big stalks don't have stickers but the small ones that are round not flat do have stickers. Think you may have the same thing I have.

Released the walking sticks today while it is still warm. They were eating the lady bugs....course the lady bugs are not on the plants they are on the windows.

Does lion tails have stickers? Why do you need gloves?

I just figured it up, and I have only been in the brugs for no more than 6 months... guess that helped me get back to the perspective, that I might be a "tad" impatient..lol... since I sterted mostly with unrooted cuttings..lol... also for the well wishes for Momma... Been on the phone a lot today.. poor Momma had already forgotten about being sick at the NH... so by the time she got to the ER... she was ready to "party"... lol... my Momma loves people sooo much and has a lil clown in her always ready to come out and do a lil trick to make you laugh...lol

Joyce..... the lions tials have a huge seed ball where the flowers come out of.. that is sharp as a tack. I just got some at a RU in July... have 3 "heads".. as soon as I know when to harvest, I will have seeds...IF I am not too late. They are sooo neat! Thanks for the info on the cactus.. mine are flat and 3 sided too... I bet it's the same thing

and YES those horrible lions Tails have horrible poinky balls! ouchie!! I only touched one, and that was IT for me! LOL! I didnt save any seeds, casue I'm scared of those poinky things! but I am going to try to convince DH to cut the poinker balls off the stalks and let them dry out. so if the seeds fall out easily I will have lots! I just want the poinker balls to put in my beds as mulch...they keep the kitties and slugs out VERY well! LOL!

I liked the Lions Tails, they came in the mixed seeds that I got in the first swap here on DG, didnt even know what they were until a few weeks ago! they are definitely interesting...but I had about 10 huge plants out there! lol! way too many!

now my yard looks all naked again :o(
