Ninja Sage!! Did she practise on her daddy? Laura, your pumpkin carvings are so awesome!!! Not for lack of a better word, they truly are!! Don't we wish we could carve like you!! I can chop up anything, but intricate carving... Sage I'm sure can do better than me!

I'm crawling back to bed, with Darvocet. Broke a fever last night, and it's all my fault, not Kel. He was busy trying to tie things together in our new sunroom, and I wanted to help him (without him knowing of course). Well, I paid for it dearly.
BJ, Princeton, the cat that did a Houdini yesterday, he stuck to me like white on rice since he came home!! He slept on me all night (first time) and this morning, acted like a little puppy, trailing me!!! Guess he knows where his tuna comes from!!

Be warm sistahs and nieces. Be safe too. Yes take pictures of the tricksters for your DH, niece.

Thanks, we just called and they said she DID get some sleep last night, I am sure it was pill enduced, but she needed sleep, she has not slept for 3 or so days.

Tina-take a deep breath-it will be OK-this is a small time period to make her better for the rest of her life-it will be a daily struggle, but it WILL be alright...

You know what's funny-I own an apron-have had it for 3 years-don't think I have ever worn it!!LOL I just wear crappy clothes when I bake and be done with it-I need to try to remember it this year for our annual baking:)

So-tell me if this is weird-DH wants me to take pics of the cute trick or treaters since he has to work tonight and won't be home for them (he loves the little ones-4 and younger-they are always the cutest-tripping over thier costumes and more interested in our dog and decor than the candy)-do you think parents will think I am a freaky weirdo??

Think I'll soak the seeds first in brine before roasting. And do you know us Asians also do roasted watermelon seeds?

And while the oven's busy, think I'll get the sewing machine going too.

I had to bring BJ's 12 steps program over!! It's truly hilarious!!

1. Admit you have a problem.
2. Seek a support group. (not us, addicts can't help addicts)
3. Step away from the keyboard.
4. Apologize to your family for being absent from their lives.
5. Eat an entire package of Fritoes.
6. Go outside and dig some holes.
7. Call you mom.
8. Write everyone you haven't talked to since you've been online.
9. Say a prayer to your higher power.
10. Eat an entire store bought cake (save the cake holder, you can use it later for winter sowing those seeds)
11. Pat yourself on the back for a recovery well done.
12. Log back on, and hour has been long enough for now.

Oh yeah, a tip for sistahs that quilt. When next you get some pizza, ask them for an extra box..
You can use clean pizza boxes to stash your quilt squares.

Again you are blessed to have a gf that does that for you Joyce. I know you'd be having FUN and racking up on sales!! Or whatever can fit in your overnight bag!

Morning Sistahs.... I'm finally up now... sheesh... we stayed up way too late last night.

Don was reading the paper (online) this morning, and tells me that Dallas had 2 earthquakes last night... I never knew we had earthquakes in this part of the country... so, we've spent the last 20-30 mins getting educated... seems there's a fault line that runs up through Irving. One was a 2.5 and the other was a 3.0... how scary...

We're not wearing costume either... Don's leaving for out of town this evening, and I'm going to be right here... but we don't usually get trick or treaters either... only one kid in our neighborhood, and I don't think she does that sort of thing.

Tia, Tina... someday I'll tell you all about what I went through with my son in rehab... you, just hang in there and keep reminding her that you love her... sometimes she's not going to believe you... but you just hold her tighter with your heart...

Jaye... hope your feeling better when you wake back up... I hate to take those pain pills. So glad your cat is home, and wants your constant assurance that she's not lost anymore...

Stacey, Ninja, she wanted to be a Ninja. I don’t really mind, but especially her Halloween costumes are not very “girly”, the only one I’ve seen that was is the Gothic cat fairy; here’s a picture.

I’d ask the parents before taking the picture, but it doesn’t seem like it would be a big deal; if you think you’ll get weird looks I’m going trick-or-treating with Cedric tonight.

Jaye, well she and DH messed around till I told them they were going to break the swords before Halloween, yes I am the “parent” of the family, but I keep trying to teach her basic, very basic, sword work and martial arts and she just looks at me like I was telling her to stand on her head.

I’m really proud of the pumpkins I did this year. I’ve been pushing my boundaries for a couple years now; if I keep it up I’ll do something incredible one of these years.

Isn’t it amazing how cats can know when your sick and hang out with you? I know I’m sick when I’m curled up on the couch watching a movie in the middle of the day with two cats on me.

I think it’s 250 for 45-50 min. but I keep messing mine up. Sage wants me to try a recipe her mom gave her for pumpkin seeds, I hate her mom and am suspicious anything to do with her, and the recipe just looks dubious, but Sage says it’s good and I’ll try it out.

I prefer to brine mine first.

Its 51 degrees here this morning and rain for the foreseeable future. I wish it was a nicer Halloween.

BJ, I’m still working on my costume, DH and I are doing full costumes this year. I’ll post pictures later/tomorrow.

Arrg... Sage informed me I needed to fix her shoelace almost 5 min. after I told her to get ready to leave... I managed it, though she needs new shoelaces. She'll probably be late for school though.

Cedric, Sage and Cthulu wanted to know why they couldn't go trick-or-treating now. They think it should be a National Holiday.

Though Cedric doesn't think it's a very good day for Halloween.

I am here sistahs!! I have been trying to make an internet connection since 9 am so I could share some coffee. No luck until now!! @&004327t6ro is my sentiments at the moment--I wanted to share coffee with my sistahs and it just didn't happened!!

Laura, I would be minus all 10 finger if I attempted to carve anything like that. Maybe even my toes as clutzy as I am. Sage is really cute in her costume. After hearing fairies, princesses and Dorothy, seeing Sage is a relief--I like creatve. Then my GDs are still young so...

Jaye, what are we going to do with you? Chain you down? We can't have you hurting yourself like this. May will be here before you know it and we want you well, fit as a fiddle and with us. So just leave the furniture where it is for now.

BJ, I don't think lazy would be a word I would ever consider to describe you. More like "whirlwind". So how long will Don be gone this time. I have the house all to myself until late Sunday. I am finally managing to get some things done with my machine. Bummer, yesterday my old Babylock serger died!!! Of course, it has to be about 25 yr. old so I guess I can't complain. I will anyways!!!!

Where is Cindy and Deborah? Hey Deborah, you have to come up for air sometimes--sewing can strain your eyes sweet one. Take a break and chat with us. I guess Cindy is pouring candles so she is busy also.

Well girls we had our fun this morning on the bus ...the dear one I was mentioning the other day...well today he took care of being able to ride the bus started out very good then bang it was all over. told some girls he was going to r*** them then changed it to was going to c t their heads off when he saw Ms.V standing there then said he didn't say anything.
punch his older brother in the private area...smacked brother in the face, we moved brother out of the seat leaving him there and he proceeded to try and to head stands in the seat puttin his feet over the back stood straight up in the seat, told us over and over no then chanted he hated everyone on the bus and said some choice words.
I called the office and had them call the school for the principal to met the bus ..she came out just as he was screaming as he had been told to sit down she came on and refused to come to the front so I got him and as she was taking him off the bus he swung the book bag at me hitting ne in the face....yes I am okay it was empty

we went in after our route and the director said he is off no more riding the bus om will have to deal with getting him to had from school Mr. Barnes called the principal and she confirmed the behavior and told us he is out of school for 3 days as he was calling her names she didn't know 6 yr old knew plus hitting and kicking the staff

Ms. V also let them know if he came on the bus any more she was walking off so they know we have had enough.

Oh I can handle it I just ignore the behavior as long as no one is getting hurt it was alot for show since the kids were on the bus but I had to keep talkin to Ms. V she was ready to come unglued on him and we can't do that ..just keep tellin her Ms. V ignore him and Ms. V come talk to me ...I knew once we got to school he would be off as he was going to act out on them too

yes parents need to realize they brought this child into the world they are responsible for them and need to control and teach them proper ways to behave which this child has not had
