Yeah Zhinu - I don't see much of Garfield either. I would be willing to bet that I could sign up on here to have a strip emailed to me each day or some such. Might think about doing that. Things that are going on with me currently that will need some humor mixed in plus the toughness that that darn cat sometimes displays.

Betty, traveling down through Atlantic City and then through the Washington DC area would definitely put you close enough for us to arrange a get together. Think about it. If you need a place to lay you weary head for a night or two, let me know. Beds always available for Dave's members.

Thanks Ruby...my driving route always depends on what kind of year we're having..i.e. mega snow..then I take the shortest and most direct route..don't even feel like going this year...might be nice just to enjoy 2-3 weeks resting and spending time with family...

I'm JUST SO excited...here I thought I'd be worrying all week for another shipment of that wave hair for the santa's for the group coming this Sat. and next Sat. of course I thought I had enough in my first order but didn't...the girls that ship it to me told me Thursday they made a special trip to P.O. and $31.00 later send me a parcel and thought it should arrive by Friday...was going to be bitting my nails...imagine, it arrived this morning..now I'll not fret...wonder what else I could worry about...lol

Yep, still more maroon to do (8) blue (6) and (6) green...then I'll start on Suzanne's 14...lol I'm always riding with her to work, she goes out of her way to bring me where I want to go for shopping soooo the least I could do was cut and sew her santa's....

Sitting looking pretty in the sewing closet is all the yardage I need to do Mrs. Claus...keep being so organized I'll be able to start her before long....

Know you must all get tired of me talking christmas...but it's so me...I love it, love doing workshops, floral arrangements which reminds me (must go cut down a forest..) lol

Between shopping for my gifts (just did a 2008 christmas list) I'll be a go/go/go...

Oh my gosh forgot to tell you she wants to make a Santa too!!! Bought a Quilting book and oh my the pattern for it looks sort of like a quilting pattern!

do the first Judy the way I do it, then be creative, it will be so exciting to see what treasures we'll all make..You've got enough faces for Breenie don't you, if not I'll post another...

As soon as my christmas rush is done, think I'll make a few rag quilts for the kids...

While my machine is out, think I'll take the christmas embroidery cd out, embroider some xmas things and insert them into the card...the girls that I sent the patterns for iris folding should be receiving them in the next few days....

As you can tell my mind is going in a million and one places...

What am I doing today, well, making a list of everything I need for Saturday that I must pick up...I poured another 10 santa faces, I keep packing away extra's when I ship and realize I'd better have more...think once this projects done I'll not want to see another...

In the next day or so we're going back to that material shop and I'll look for some nice brocade material to make 3 large ones for gifts..well, maybe 2 can be gifts, I'll keep one..lol-have no idea where I could put one but am sure I'll find a place...reason we'll be going back to the fabric store is their prices for sure BUT Suzanne asked me if she purchased maroon/red velvet would I be willing to do a Santa and Mrs. Claus suit, maybe not for this year but for next but while the material is so cheap and she'll need about 12 yards she might as well pick it up...

Good news...

We will only be in Toronto till the end of the month..can't take possession of the Barrie office until Dec. 1st..so the first week I'll most likely be working from home, Paul will have the telephone company come install the phones on the Monday, we have a painter Elaine who will arrive Tuesday and paint and as soon as she's finished the new rugs go in...furniture will be on trucks ready to drop off...Paul thinks we might be settled in enough to work on the Thurs. but we'll see....then on Dec. 19th we close till after New Years...so finally a shorter distance...let's hope we get the business in the smaller metropolis otherwise I won't be working and that's ok too...lol...

So off I go...need to do more sewing but will get up extra early instead....

DH just bought the bag today. I was loading the dishwasher. Rinsed my hands off in the sink, grabbed the bag and Ooooops! DH looked at me like I grew a second head and asked "Well what did you do that for?"

Bev, any news from your youngest...a young boy 15 after a fight with his parent left, hasn't been seen for 3 weeks..keep thinking of you when I hear them on the newscast, they are so heartbroken..can imagine how you feel, my heart goes out to you...

Called Sharon who was transferred hospitals late this afternoon, surgery scheduled for tomorrow, the last day or so she's not been in as much pain ..specialist just left, said they reviewed her file and if she is healing such as she is she is far better to wait and not take the chance of the surgery..now I don't know wether to be glad or upset...she's been in bed August/September..in the hospital all of October and now this????

What do you make of that...

Fred is suffering from depression which all in our family have but is not taking his meds. He can't find a job and it is eating him up. He won't call me because He will breack down and not feel like a man. You know how that goes. All I can do is pray that he holds on and doesn't do something stupid like I used to think about doing. Rick doesn't take over my duties he is disabled with Narcalepsy and Cataplexy but when he is ok for a few hours he drywalls and he will help me with anything I ask. He takews uppers to try to stay awake in daytime and a strong narcotic to knock him out at night, If he doesn't get to his recliner right after taking it he will fall in the floor and gets hurt sometimes. He is afraid to take it and sit right down because he had terrible hullusinations and that is hard on his heart so am very scared for him all the time too. He has Gout and very bad circulation but just like Scotty will not go for testing.Oh I shouldn't be ranting like this but my oldest Joe is very deppressed all the time too and he scares me. My mind is just rattled all the time. Sorry girls just had to let some of this out. It is eating me alive. The good Lord and you all are what keep me going everyday. Thanks for being you. My sister has her surgery tomorrow and the DR. thinks they are catching it in time. No masectomy at this point. So it is looking good for her also. Amazing how these situations are so serious and each one has changed for the better from what they were. I am talking about our sisters.

Need to get going. My list is still long as I am doing other things. But they need done also.

Morning All - Well, it's a rainy election day here in Richmond. I was up and at the polls at 6am. Figured I'd try to beat the crowds. Only thing was, so did everyone else! There had to have been 150+ ppl in line at 6am when the polls opened. I was amazed! Luckily, the line moved very fast and I was out in 40 mins. So that put me at work at 6:50am!!

Vicki, yes isn't it fantastic that all 3 sisters are improving..not sure why exactly they decided to put off Sharons surgery, but they did say the tests showed improvement with her being bedridden for so long...Judy's sister is getting the help she needs in the hospital, will take time but is improving and your sister wow no masectomy for now...powers of prayer..that is what has done it..will continue to pray for all 3...

Vicki, are you achieving some of the things you had planned for your 8 days off..won't be long and you'll be back into the work schedule..busy time for you all at work..never see a let up at these stores here..felt sorry for one of the elderly ladies on Friday, it took all she could to stand...poor thing!

Bev, sending prayers...my family also shows signs of depression..been there, not fun and not easily curred or put behind you even with meds...I do not take meds, but have done in the past..wrote my journey last year here and if you remember the last part of my journey wasn't pleasant..I seem to enjoy being on my own, in my home, safe with friends/family who drop in and also with you all..I still show signs of being uncomfortable out in public (bet you'd not have thought that) so I do my shopping either very/very late at night or early/early in the a.m. OR even shop out of town..can't get rid of the phobia .. and not even sure of the phobia...but it's a slow and long process...I don't do well with any kinds of stress maybe that's why I prefer to keep myself busy and secluded in many ways...

I can certainly understand why Fred feels he's disappointed you and can't face you..but you now know he's safe .. now only if he can be encouraged to take meds ...

Just having Rick with you and helping where he can must make you feel good...

I am glad you are able to come and unload. I know sometimes, you just can't hold it together. There is always a breaking point, no matter how hard you try. Comes a time when you allow yourself to be loved, because you deserve it.

Greg dropped into the office this afternoon..we got to gab about Christmas..told him to tell me how much his and Melanie's snowmobile passes are and if purchased before Dec. 1st he says they are $180.00 OMG whatever happened to the $50.00 trail permit..it's not even all that money but some years there is hardly snow and permits are wasted..oh well, know where some of my money is going next week...better not expect tooo many things under the tree, between the seasons pass for Wonderland, snowmobile trail permit, he's almost done with the designated amount of $$$ I set aside for each..yuk..no actual pressie's, there will only be slips of paper on the tree..lol
