Cedric, Sage, and Cthulu wanted to know why they could start trick-or-treating this morning. Sage is bummed because she can't wear her costume to school.

Though Cedric doesn't think it's a very good day for Halloween.

I got a call last night, that she took a knife to herself. I don't know how bad or what set her off. she is Manic depresive. I do know she is in the hospital...
I am going a bit crazy, when I want the phone to ring it's silent. I;ve got messages on eveyone phone to call me. I guess just wait, my brother was going to the hospital this morning to find out the news...Breaks my heart to hear him so worried, he is usually very calm.
Thank you Betty, I am trying hard to keep the faith, right now I am getting angrier about things that are going on or who might have said what to her. It only takes the tiniest negative thing...

What are you up to on your first Vacation Day?

I understand why kids can't wear costumes to school, it's distracting, causes issues between haves and have nots, etc... but it still sucks!

Today is the second. I'm taking a breakright now and then it is back outside until I am starving. I plan on cutting down some more plants.Then in for lunch. Then if the beetles aren't around today back outside. If they are then it is in the house doing stuff and watching some tv. Nothing exciting but it needs done. I finally made a list and have one thing marked off but several started. Isn't that the way it goes? So it doesn'r look like anything gets done! LOL

I am 53 and it was like that when we went to school. I mean we got to wear our customes and we all survived the disappointments while growing up. I think our kids are too protected in some things and lose out on a lot of learning experiences.

We took our coustimes to school and got to put them on after lunch so the afternoon was the fun time with trick or treating from class to class and such:)

Judy I'm glad you posted, know that I (we) worry with you...I believe she lives in neighboring state correct, 5 or 6 hours away...know how you are with driving and highways but do you think DD could drive you there so you could see for yourself how she's doing..nothing like depending on others to relay messages of her condition?

Don't know Judy though if you can blame someone who may have said a word out of place to her if she's manic..sometimes people can pick one word out of an entire discussion to focus on and get upset/angered about...unless of course they were being cruel...

Is she normally on meds or a program to help her? Let's hope she gets all the medical support she needs...in the mean time, we'll be praying..

3 of our sisters are in need of prayers..

My grandchildren as well get to take their costumes to school, they study till 2 and then the entire school parades class by class showing their costumes...I believe there are prizes for best costume..hate to sound boastful but my grandchildren usually win! ..all it takes is $$$$ and grandma's time for that...lol

I must tell you I'm getting a little tired of all these Santa faces looking up at me...another 30 and I'm done...yuk...

Will teach me next time right not to pick a project I have to paint..even my painters said ' you might as well paint them - that way we'll not have to bring our brushed' smart girls...

Ves, I agree, I try to talk to Sage, 7 year old DSD, about how the world really is and let her make her own mistakes, within reason, but on the other hand, I know how the world really is and I have trouble letting her go out and play without an adult being there.

Yes, Betty she is on meds...This lady at office said it could have been one of them giving her suicidal thoughts too. I know, I shouldn't be blaming anyone, We know how things go for her...Just got a txt from my nephew, he just saw her the other night and seemed like all was well.

It's a 7 hour drive to where she is. I won't get any information unless i am on her list, which i am not because I don't live there, so it is just a waiting game.

Betty, normally I wouldn't do that, but she was 4 months behind on rent, using drugs in an apartment that was solely in my name, snooping and stealing my stuff I'm sure for drug money since she couldn't even hold a fast food job, and lying about the whole thing. I confronted her several times, more about the rent than anything, and she would always give an excuse why she couldn't pay and deny everything else. I had enough, it was time for her to go. See, my mom was a cop so I knew California law, and their law won't let you throw someone out like that even if you are renting and they're not on the rental agreement, you have to go through the courts and evict them starting with a 3 month notice, then after 3 months a 72 hour notice, after 72 hours is up a 48 hour notice, after that's up a 24 hour notice, then after that's up the Sheriff has to be called out to have them removed, which take another 72 to 96 hours for them to show up. My stepdad got into this with his father, his father let this homeless couple move into his house, then he suddenly passed away. My stepdad had to go through this process to get rid of them, and of course in this amount of ridiculous time, they had stolen everything in the house including the pet dog. I knew she didn't know the law, and if she did she certainly didn't want me to turn her drug use into the police, especially since I had the whole city police department on my side. I wish I could've taken a picture of her face at that moment, it was priceless!

Anyway, Happy Halloween Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't seem to catch up so I'm just going to say that LOL! My internet at home should be fixed today YAY! We're going on a weekend vacation so I won't be on until Monday sometime, but I'll be here until 5 this evening.

OK, talk with BIL...This poor guy has been through quite the nightmare.
Sister is in the hospital, was in er most of the night getting stitched up.
She did a real number on herself and lucky to be alive...They have transferred her to another facility. She can't have any visitors for at least 4 or 5 days, not even her DH. This is standard procedure for suicide patients.

DH said she took herself off her meds because some of her friends told her she was walking around like a zombie!!! Now, how could they do that? They better pray I don't find out who they are thats for sure. EVERYONE knows her condition, and why she is on so many different meds, so yes, I think it was partially a mallice thing to say to someone, who is already messed up...So she has been spiralling down for sometime. She also knows how to act normal for certain people...so "we" don't see the signs. But DH, said she snapped yesterday morning and they were just talking about her kids. She went ballistic, at him at herself. he called 911 . I'll not go into full detail, it is not good...But it took 7 police officers to get her in to the ambulance.
Some of who were clearly shaken from the events they seen.
My brother's are fit to be tied. Tight now the important thing is she is in the hospital where she will be placed back on the meds and getting her proper support.

Oh my gosh, that's horrible Judy. People are so stupid, I'm sure they will find out that she's back in the hospital so I hope they're happy with themselves. People like that usually don't think about it as something they have done though, they will wonder what happened and try to figure it out.

Just arrived home Judy and this is the 1st place I'm checking, want to make sure you are ok...I'm glad that you got some answers, perhaps not all the answers but enough to put your mind at ease that your sister is safe, being cared for...Lord is providing the hands in which to do so...

I know how you fret so can imagine the turmoil you are in..and Judy, WE don't have to know all the details, we just want to offer support..I know most times we seem like frilly people, the to do's, the carrying on, (mostly me..am sure you'll agree) but our hearts are where they should be, anyone going through rough times can come here and feel the love and support they need from we their DG friends...we're always as close as the 'keyboard'...I will keep watching the thread this evening just incase you wish to talk or need something..won't be far, promise...

OMG you know what I found on the way home, a store had a gift pack of a large popcorn bowl and 4 smaller popcorn dishes..bought 2 sets, one for each family...now I'll pick up new release movies, add licorice, popcorn, milk chocolate, decorate and there are two more family gifts..my commitment to myself is having all my shopping done by Dec. 1st...at this rate I'll beat my deadline...

LOL I'm going to Branson, Missouri then down to Eureka Springs and tour the Ozark Mountains looking at fall foliage. It's not in full swing but it'll be close, so that's good. It's going to be fun and relaxing, and if any of you want to come crash it come on down, I would love it if you crashed it!

Crissy, just outside of Branson are the onyx caves, YOU CANNOT go there without taking a visit in them...that tour and history of it I will never forget...and, in your travels not far I don't think look in the middle of a bush for the big signs that say: "One Million Callico Prints" OMG I need to remember where in the country was this precious little town, we laughed thinking how in the world could there be such an establishment with one million prints, but soon found out there must have been one million and at least a few more hundred....why would I not have marked the address down...silly me...so if you come across it, please tell DH you have to make a stop, for who, why me of course...

I have to work 30 minutes late, sucks. Turns out Dave has to work tonight, his boss just called him with an "oh by the way, the other guy has to DJ at midnight so you need to come in." Dave said, "You said yesterday that I didn't need to come in so I made plans." His boss said, "Oh, well I was just checking on the schedule, I didn't mean to say that." I heard that if he knows someone wants something he makes them do the opposite after he oks what the employee wants. Sad, very sad, so there goes my night down the tubes. What really sucks even more is he was originally going in at his usual 9:30pm and leaving early around 3:30ish am and his 3 days off is reduced to 2 days. Now since he can't go in until midnight he has to stay until 6am, which means he's going to be wiped out tomorrow on our first day of vacation.

Judy, you are a trooper..know you'll make tonight great for the kids...rest well, your sister is being looked after...just called mine, no answer on her hospital extension..mom/Jim would be driving up north to their cottage so can't call them to see what's up..who knows maybe she's having something done and can't answer...will go and try again...
