(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

I take 1 1/2 sugar in 1st cup and then the warm ups gets no sugar. I know when I was in Europe they do not have coffee like we do. OMG that stuff was strong, I would order 1 small cup and then get an empty cup and a full cup of cream and make 2 cups that way. And it was 5 Euro a cup !!!!!!!!!!! At that time that made a cup of joe 7.50 american. WOW

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

HOLY CUP O' JOE!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Nice story Donna. and nice coleus pics. Very pretty. Sounds like you need to be the boss lady for those boys!
Hope everyone slept good.
Hope you all have a great day, and don't work too hard.

Morning Ladies,

OH Stacey, what did you apply for. Tia, so glad to hear your daughter wants help. Just love her, love her, love her. When my daughter went thru depression after the birth of her son, it was a very stressful time for both of us. I couldn't leave her sight and she didn't want to have anything to do with my grandson. I just spent most of my time holding her and letting her know I would always be there for her. Now she is much happier young lady.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry Tia, I missed your post. I to will pray for you and your daughter. Thank God she finally realized she needed help, and is now in the right direction. Prayers going your way!
Linda Kay

I applied for a construction coordinator-esentially waht I do know-running the office, AP, AR, employee benifits, SS, coorespondence-all the crap I do know, w/o the telemarketing that they added to my job description here....I also applied for a job tracing shipments-would be 3-4 shifts a week 7pm-7am-I thought, heck to work 3-4 days a week, might work out...

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

This is the breif description:
providing excellent customer service to internal & external customers as the first point of contact; interacting with customers using well-established customer care management methods to resolve conflicts; interacting routinely with dispatch personnel to identify & proactively prevent customer dissatisfaction; communicating regularly with field technicians to facilitate a high level of internal customer satisfaction; billing, A/R, & A/P functions; compiling periodic management reports; and supporting general office HR processes.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Morning all my sistahs... new and old.
Donna, it's so good to get to know you... sounds like you and I have some things in common... except for my wedding rings, I don't do diamonds either... and I've almost ruined my rings working in the dirt.
When Don and I owned the marina, the employees called Don, Boss Man, and they called me Boss Lady... until one day I said something to the effect that being the boss was like raising kids... then some of them started calling me MOM...

Tia Tina... I know exactly what you're going through, my dear sistah... my prayers will certainly include you and your daughter, and your whole family, for that matter... something like a child going through that effects everyone, especially the mom that worked so hard to teach her kids well. I'm so glad that punk boy has you right now... PLEASE call me if you need an ear to listen.

Fairy Knees... Good luck, dear niece... I know you really really need a new job...you've been unhappy for so long there.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I just poured me a cupof coffee. Thanks, Tinky!! Morning all. I "flaked" out early last night--tired!!

Tia, Tina, Whatever, send positive vibes and love to both you and your daughter!! We are here for both of you--please don't disappear on us again. I have enough grey hairs, thank you. Oh yes, the quilt squares are beautiful, thank Mom and the apron is perfect. How did you know I was a messy cook? Not comments please.

Hi, Kathy. Nope, no chopped liver!! Liver isn't even good for human consumption!!! Well I don't think so.

Cindy, I need to unpack another box or two but I know I have some glasses somewhere in all the boxes still to be undone. Will send as soon as they are located. I need help here!!!

Donna, thanks for sharing your story. I like playing in the dirt also! The dirtier the better but alas every now and then I do have to clean the inside of the house. Hope you remodeling doesn't drag out like mine has! Urrrgh!! Yeap, playing pirate again. Boy do I miss Jojo!!!

Debra, when is the test drive? Can hardly wait to hear all about it. Will send my share of payment soon---just don't hold your breath on amount!! LOL

Morning Audrey. Are you having freezing temps there yet? So far none here.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

You WILL get this great Job! All fingers and toes crossed for ya Staceypoo!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh Linda Kay, I am so sorry--morning. I am stuffing a box for you and when it is full (don't want to waste any space since flat rate) I will send. Might have to have a crowbar to get it out. Ah! but that will be your problem, won't it?

Morning BJ. So what's up today. Costumes all finished and delivered, the next 4 days free for me!!!! Can you say sew til my eyes hurt!!!!!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Geez, I keep missing my sistahs. Deborah, got the package of "snakeplant" Wahoo, butterflies here I come. I hope!!!

So when are you going to tell us what you are working on? It isn't nice to keep secrets you know. LOL When do you plan to go see your mother? When will you know what the baby will be--boy or girl. BTW, tell them DAWGS they better not let me down this weekend.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

What's up today? Well, Don's home today... probably his last day off till after Thanksgiving... so, I'm going to see what all I need him to help me with before his long days start. AND, I think Donna got me inspired to clean the craft room/office here... got lots of junk mail piled up that needs to find the garbage can.

But first... more coffee.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes... Deborah.... PppUUUUllleaaaase tell us what your first project is... I'm going nuts here not knowing.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I plan to do some "mega" cleaning since I have the house to myself for a while. However, I am blocking time out to sew and do some fun things I have been wanting to do for a while. No work in the dungeon as son is out of town for awhile. Works calls him--what a bummer.

Yeap, I could use more coffee now that I think about it.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks for the wishes and you are right BJ-I was wanting to get outta there back in June when the basement flooded-member?? I shoulda did it then, I guess I just kept hoping it would even out and get better-NOT!!

Morning BJ and Auntie M-I am using my time today (no boss) to apply for other jobs;) tee hee hee!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Marion, don't worry about the glass containers, but I'm really excited to see what you send me. I like to shop at the thrift stores for containers. I've used all kinds tins, canning jars, ice cream bowls etc.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, Stacey... I remember that night very well... I don't think I slept that night worrying about you doing all that work all by yourself. SHEESH... I do hope you get a new job soon... cause what that boss put you through on that occasion was just selfish and uncalled for.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

And she will be back from Maternity leave on 11/17...

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Another cheap attempt to get all you over here and join us in the fun PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSS

We have 16 so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/915975/

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Maybe that will be your first day starting a new job... somewhere else.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I would LOVE to walk in on that day and give her my 2 weeks notice-or even B4;) She made a comment once that people here that give 2 weeks notice are let go that day-that would be cool-collect unemployemnt for 2 weeks and then start the new job:) A little mini vacation:)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning CIndy, BJ, Marion... Sleep well???
BJ, when do you go see your Dr?
Marion, we are still waiting for stories, and pictures please? As soon as you unpack everything.
Stacey, that will be funny, she comes back to work, and you leave for another job!!! What goes around, comes around!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LK, I haven't called to make an appointment yet... it's a long story. I won't go into all that here.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Man Stacey, your boss sounds like a B%#$@ kinda like my old boss. She was your friend to your face then she'd turn around to the next person and say bad things about you. And what a LIAR she was too. And she is the owner of the Marry Maids where I worked.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Cindy, I'm sorry about your fur baby.

Linda Kay, we’re going to have 5 carved pumpkins here, and I’m doing one for mom. Two of them got made too early and are molding, my first one and one Sage made with her mother. I’m carving three, Sage has the one she made with her mom and one she’ll make here, and DH gets one, if he has time.

I have so much to do before Halloween, that’s why I wasn’t on yesterday afternoon/evening, and I doubt I’ll be on later today. I have one and a half more pumpkins to do for myself and I’ll basically do Sage’s, I need to finish my costume, go shopping for DH’s and a few more things for mine, put up the rest of the decorations, open the candy, try to revive the molding pumpkins; I think I’m missing something.

I’m going to freeze my butt off on Halloween, but I think my costume is going to be cool; I’ll post pictures when I get it finished, as well as Sage in costume.

Here is my first pumpkin.

We don’t get enough snow to spit at, a couple of inches a year most years. I would love to have a white Christmas, but last time that happened I was in school, we had a white Thanksgiving one year though.

Marion, I already started collecting pumpkin bits to make into pie. I don’t have much due to the fact that most of my pumpkins this year are truly carved rather than cut, but after Halloween…

Jaye, I’m a procrastinator too, unless I get set on a project and then it’s full steam a head, almost to the point of OCD. I’m defiantly an extremes type person; for instance my “cleaning” is either controlled chaos, I know where things are in the piles, but no one else does, or completely anal, my spice caddy is organized by alphabet, so are my books, in boxes, with a excel spreadsheet listing each book and which box they are in.

Janice, nice patterns, I could live with something in those colors.

Deborah, I wish I’d slept well last, and I’m spending the day shopping and have the kids this afternoon, plus all the stuff I listed earlier.

I think at the point people can come in with out knocking and make themselves at home they are chosen family; friends have to call first and knock on the door. Of course you can have a large chosen family.

Tia, prayers going out for you and your daughter.

Stacey, good luck on the application, wish I could find the perfect job; it would be one that pays well and allows me to be home for Sage.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

just keep all the positive thoughts coming my way please ladies:) New job, new job, new job!!!

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

LOL supposedly I have a friend like that now. None of my sistah's here tho.
I always say, (use to bartend) and got it very often, If they are talking about me they are leaving someone else alone. I have very very thick skin.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Glenview, IL

Much Luck Stacey!!

Keeping every thing crossed for you...You go get em.

Be back in a bit, running way behind my schedual today!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Crossed everything I can for you Tinky! I do hope you get the job you applied for soon.

Linda Kay, I will post pictures, just have the slows still.

Laura, we used to carve the pumpkins but after our children got older, I started buying the small pie pumpkins. The ones for halloween just aren't as good for pie--atleast the one I have gotten. My son and oldest granddaughter would let me know if the pie wasn't up to par. Nothing quiet about those 2 where that is concerned.

Tia, Tina, Whatever, I would love to join the swap but that is a bad day for me. I will drop in when I can but I will be busy, busy that weekend. I truly will be missing the fun I know but just can't do it this time.

Morning Judy. Cold there?

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Good luck, Stacey!
Marion, it got to freezing night before last, and we got our first frost! Nice and cool out there right now, but it's pretty and sunny.
Don't we set our clocks back this weekend? I think I'm the one that said we do! Lol lol lol!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I can't believe this, the night I'm off to bed way early, Donna came visit. I need to do that more often huh?
Donna, I had been pronouncing your DG moniker "Gape-a-hen", it just dawned on me it's "GaPeaHen"!!! Lolol.. duuuuhh.
So nice of you to share a little bit of yourself.

Thanks for the coffee niece, you need to do this more often :D You should be feeling the good vibes sent your way. Truly truly hope you nail that construction coordinator job.

It's indeed good news, Tia-Tina. Your daughter asking for help is the first step towards recovery. It's tough watching your loved ones making bad decisions. But you've given her the comfort of knowing that you'll be her rock.... that's all she needs from you.

Hi, Sis, BJ, Sis Deborah, LK, Cindy (how's Bucky), Audrey--- Judy!!

Marion, I've never made pumpkin pie from scratch. Care to share your recipe?

Hmm.. Laura, did you post the pumpkin pic?

I'm here but will be in and out.. reorganizing plants.. materials.. santa :D
