۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞ 46

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Good idea Betty... but the inside of my cabinet doors have glass panels in them... but I do have the chalk board you sent me... but Don and I write terms of endearment on that one... it's kind of cute leaving each other little love notes.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

BJ, your fat quarters were to be mailed today but my printer is out of ink and had to cancel the postage I printed out. Grrrrr. Won't be leaving the house today but will tomorrow and will go to post office then. Do I understand that you will be posting the photo after receiving my choices?

Marion, did you see my post about the Husqvarna Viking Topaz 30? Can you believe it? Of course, I took the liberty of telling DH that since you have been my #1 enabler that you would be glad to pay 1/2 of it. LOL! Seriously, I want to go back for another demo - 'hands on' this time so I can get a feel for it before making the final decision. Can't imagine anything would steer me away but you never know. Wouldn't buy a car without driving it first, right?

Judy, bet threatening to hire a job done gets your DH motivated!

Phyllis, what's a 'courtesy rider'? Obviously not a rider who is 'courteous'. LOL!

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Betty, what a smart idea! Awwww, BJ, that's so romantic.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, Debra... I'll take a pic of all 20 of them together... and post it.
Sometimes our notes aren't romantic... sometimes they're just a funny note, or a joke only we'd understand... but it's fun.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

the main part of the "cold" is over just the chest congestion is still hangin on...... but am taking meds for it yet

a courtesy rider is a child that the parents work for the bus garage or schools and get a ride from the bus garage to school or the school to school or from school to the bus garage ..this child's mother is a driver so he rides to and from school with me
if he doesn't straighten up he will be kicked off the bus

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

BJ, y'alls lovey notes to each other are precious, gf. Is Don still enjoying his trips to the store on his yellow play toy?

Debra, Maine would be one of my ideal vacations. I want to make my rounds in the good ol' US of A and particularly, the New England states in the fall. I want to hear all of the dialects in the state of Boston, and also listen to folks talk in Mass. I want to buy some syrup in Vermont, and eat clam chower at a pier restaurant in Maine listening to old crabbing and lobster sailors tell their tales in their wonderfully sounding voices. All the while I'll be nodding cause I'm keeping my mouth shut so they won't be able to tell where I come from. All this in the fall when the leaves are orange yellow and red! Aye!

Marion, so glad you are home. Don' get too excited about not working in the yard. You'll have at least one more plant to plant soon.

Y'all know, when one of us is missing in action on this thread, we all feel the void don't we. That reminds me, where's Cindy?

Laura, are you sick, how come you in bed at lunch time? You sound just like me with lists

Speaking of list, I'm next in line after Miss Betty for making lists. I like the accomplished feeling I get when I get to scratch them off. I make full detailed lists and sometimes they are outlined with sub catergories. That way, I get to scratch of parts of the list while the whole project may take over a course of days to complete. At night is when I rewrite the list if only a few things are still left to do and I get to add more things to the list. I'm still using Betty's task jar. I will admit though, I cheated once, and pulled one out of the jar and dropped it back in. My task jar are all big projects that can be done in a day. I didn't really cheat though, (well, 1/2 cheated) the one I pulled out was to shampoo the bedroom carpets and at the time I didn't have enough money to rent a shampooer. Now sistahs,
don't be going off the deep end to collect money for me a shampooer. HAHAHA
Did I ever mention that I don't have a car? ROFLOL!! I'm enjoying the sewing machine and ya'll will have to wait to see my first sewing project when it's finished.

Judy, I like your kind of "get er done" attitude. Hire the task out! Nota bad and I haven't heard cool beans since my kids were teenagers. Wait.....all three of yours still are! LOL
You get to talk in a whole new langaguage.

Ok, Jabber Jr. Donna, why pop it the pop out with a one sentence hello. Girl friend you must have made a to do list!!!!!!!Yippee for you!

Linda K, with my grandbaby coming I guess I need to start collecting cutie movies. I remember when Greg was little I played with his star wars figurines and enjoyed those movies as much as he did. Can yall believe Star wars and ET phone home are as old a movie as they are. They are like Ol' Yeller and Lassie was to me when I grew up.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Phillis, buy some Mucsinex )sp) it's over the counter but our doctor says its as good as any perscribtion drug for congestion.

And yes, I'm wired and wrote a novel.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

deborah, I'm here just not real chatty. I'm worried about my dog I found 3 more mast cell tumors, he hasn't eaten in a week or so, he drinks water though called vet waiting for call back. Bucky is due for surgery Friday. Plus trying to get packages out and finish my recipe box.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Oh Cindy, I know how you are feeling right now with a sick furbaby. What bred is Bucky? Keep us updated. I will be praying for Bucky's surgery that all will turn out well for him.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Cindy, that must be upsetting about Bucky. Hope you hear from your vet soon. Hearing anything is better than not hearing at all, right?

Deborah, can I tag along on your New England trip? Sounds like fun. One thing we learned while in Maine is how to pronounce 'lobster' like the locals - it's LOB-STAH. lol!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Cindy... I'll hold your hand while your worrying about Bucky... poor baby.

I want to make that road trip with you too, Deborah and Debra... Next Fall?

Nope, Deborah... he hasn't been on his scooter for a while now... tried to get him on it yesterday, but he said it was too cold out there.
Come on, give us a hint what your first sewing project is?

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Lob stah...aaaa yettt :o)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, so sorry to hear of your fur baby problems. Stretching out my hand to hold yours, and everyone else to help.
Please keep us posted.

Phyllis, glad to hear your feeling better. Please take care.

Is anyone carving pumpkins for Halloween. I bought 2 of them, but they are still sitting here. No decorations here. We don't get any trick or treaters here. So it will be just hubby and I. Nice and quiet.

LK

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

My lips are sealed.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I thought we were going to charter a bus for all of us Sistahs for the touring NE states. Why not? Don't you dare leave me out!!! I'll cry and I know how you all hate to see a grown woman crying!!!

Debra, might generous of you!! Have you heard what the stock market has done lately? In case you haven't, let's put it this way: Sure am glad my kids have jobs 'cause they may have to support their aged Mother if it continues.

Seriously I saw your post about the machine and that is a really good brand. You are doing the right thing by going back for a "hands on" test drive. I think, however, you are going to love it!!

Hello Deborah. So you came up for air? Just what are you sewing on? Let us in on the secret.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Cindy, I just reread everything--got the slows--so sorry to hear about your doggie. We are there and you know that!!! Send an angel to sit on your shoulder during this.

Crave a pumpkin? Nope, nada, not here. Just gonna be me. DD was suppose to bake and clean our pie pumpkins while I was gone but didn't. Guess I will get that done later today. Got to have fresh pumpkin for my pies. Long habit is hard to break.

Waving to Joyce. Hello from the south. I hope the clink, clink noise I hear are pennies going into the jar to come see me in March!! How is Dad doing? If you tell me he ran a 5 mile marathon, I will believe it!!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Just a quick scan through right now....hello all...they are suppose to come take my sofa away this afternoon and I need to get things cleaned up moved around so they can make it out!

We have had really weird weather this year and our fall color is a pretty as I have ever seen around here!!!

I'm back! Had to run some errands and I did a record breaking shopping trip at Walmart!
Picked up some stuffs for under 5 minutes!!
There was this burnt odor that set customers coughing, including moi, that made us hurry to the check out counters.
Word was someone had microwaved a non microwavable object and the scent was icky!! Thank God it didn't blow up!

Managed to get hold of Bonnie (Bonjon). The reason she hasn't been on, is because her pc crashed. Her headaches are due to her severe sinus and she's getting some strong antibiotics for that. You know it is severe when she hasn't been playing with her irises.
That's another sistah that can 'nudge' me to laughing so hard over the phone!!!

I admire you sistahs that can stick to your to-do-lists. If ever there's a Great Procastinator, I'm it!!
Welcome back Marion! You know you're missed!!!! And we do need your change to buy that community island!!! But Fall in Vermont sounds good! Like Deborah, I want to eavesdrop on those fishermen's conversations while peeking into their traps. Ooh to order fresh caught "lobstah"... no other spices necessary, just a cup of melted butter.
Yeah Debra, test-sew that machine... and bring some 'difficult' materials too. You are getting a Rolls Royce of sewing machines there.
Cindy, so sorry to read about Bucky's problems. Good thing is vets nowadays are more sensitive to our furbabies and will do their best. Some of them even have better bedside manners than some human doctors! If only my vet will treat my maladies :*(
I had never carved a pumpkin LK. Had carved some watermelons....

Oooh Trisha to the rescue!!!! Yippppeee.... oh to have that pic for a screen saver!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Cindy, sorry about your furry one, I know what you are going through.

My pictures are taking forever to post lately!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good luck Cindy. My babies will be sending positive vibes to Bucky. If you see his tail wag unexpectedly.. that's because he feels the vibes from her ^_^
Thank you dear Trisha!! Love that line of trees..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I did see that post. It was nice.
Trisha thanks for the color pictures. Make me so homesick to see all the colors changing, but then that means snow is close behind. Don't miss the snow at all!!

OOPPSS Deborah Bucky is a Queensland Heeler. I've had him since he was born. The 1st of a litter of 6 males. He is all I have left from my life with my late husband so he is very special to me. I lost Bucky's daddy back in Feb. He tried to climb 6 ft chain link fence and hung himself. I found him when I came home from work that horrible day. :(

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy, I had a Blue Heeler back in Louisiana, and those heelers are VERY intelligent dogs.
Thanks for the link Trisha. That moves me too..

Cindy, so sorry to hear of your other dog, finding him on the fence. I can imagine how you felt.
Prayers going your way.

((((Cindy, Bucky)))))

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Trisha, my pix take forever to come through, too! Wonder why?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Audrey, are you on dial up?

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I don't know what my problem is, it doesn't take this long on any other site, just DG.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I had to resize mine when uploading on DG.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Nope! It was faster this time.

Audrey, that is so pretty. Pink with white center it looks like from here. I bet she smells so good!!!
Not all brugs have the tendrils, some more than others. that is what makes us go out and find everyone we can think of! They are all different. Color, smell, shape.
Nice going.
LK

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Actually she's peach! She does have tiny tendrils, just not long enough to be noticible! I ordered 3 more yesterday, from a man who someone posted about on DG! Like I needed more! Don't know what they'll be, though!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I did too, I think I have some coming grom GordonHawk? All surprises, but that is ok, I like surprises!
LK

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

That's him! I only ordered 3, that's about all I can afford! Any more and I'll be floatin' a loan from Sweetie again!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Gordon Hawk is an expert at Brugs too. Unfortunately the European ones do not tolerate my weather.
I love all of them.. twangers or twangless!!
