My girlfriends great grandson who is 2 1/2 and talks like an adult was dressed up in a santa claus outfit for Halloween..June said he'd go to the door (he's very theatrical) would say

HoHoHo, ooops wrong holiday..if you give me a lot of candy, I'll come back in 2 months and give you some presents...lol..so cute..

Victoria Harbour, ON

Debra, you got your new machine??? Oh happy days..will there be anything else in your home not embroidered??? know I went crazy with mine..can't tell you how many jean shirts in the area with deer/bear/wolf/moose lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

And he is 2 & 1/2? Wow, what a smarty he is!
Kids can say some of the cutest things, and totally un-expected!

LOL, Betty! Hadn't thought about denim shirts with logos. Hmmmm..... probably lots of things I haven't yet thought of .....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Bet you'll be up all hours of the night playing...lol...
Laura gave me a great idea..to make Christmas Icons, then on a card cut out either a tree shape, ornament shape etc. and insert the embroidered christmas piece..nice card...just need time to play..

Mine figures out yardage for quilts etc. - never used it..started to play with the scanner - no time..so although its fun having these toys, you have to take the time to learn all their features..

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

I want a rooster one Debra, CONGRATZ on the new machine. Have lots of fun. Who knows what goes thur our mens minds, wont say yet to drapes but yes to a toy for ya. Mine is the same way. Will not say yes to new cabinets but will say yes to chickens and the things that goes with them and about the same price.

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

still waiting on mine...but no rush! I think it took almost 2 weeks for my package to reach you betty! lol! I figure I have at least another week and a half! teehee!

Victoria Harbour, ON

just receive a d-mail from Deborah, she received her package today..so slowly but surely they are arriving...

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Nothing here today......I mean NOTHING! I didn't even get any of the usual Junk mail!
Keith must be too busy talking to Dogs and Frogs!

Victoria Harbour, ON

went to check all over, where did I get that Deborah received hers..perhaps it was in her letter and here I'm searching all over the threads...off to bed Betty - You are tired!

Well Trisha, some are arriving each day, maybe tomorrow..

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

I received my package today. Faces arrived safe and sound and look great! Now to go find the start of the body instructions that Betty posted. Hope to get that done tomorrow and then await further instructions!!! Yeah!

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

I got mine today, everything was there and nothing broken. Thanks so much Betty, I love the faces.

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

it's been a lil over a week now I took meds last week for it along with my chicken broth and extra vitamin C ...it's mostly my sinuses acting up yet not in my chest any more

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

It must be going around Phyllis.....my sinuses were giving me fits this past week, and they haven't bothered me like this in years!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

must be I haven't had a sinus infection in years I can't even remember the last one I had until now

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Got my envelope today!! We love the faces Betty! You are so darned talented - give me some of that LOL!!!

The stretchy material can handle quite a hot iron, mine is set to Cotton and it hasn't damaged it at all. I got the robe made, glued it wrong to begin with, took it apart which didn't take much with that stupid glue, wiped as much of the glue off as I could since it dries bright white (the bottle says it dries clear.) Glued it the right way, glue came apart, so got mad and sewed it together by hand. When I went to cut the area for the sleeves I cut it in the wrong spot so that piece of material is history, it should have been a long time ago anyway. I've bought a big role of red stretchy thread that I hate, so I'm going to go at lunch and buy new material that isn't stretchy and try to use that thread I bought. I don't like the stretchy material because it rolls up and I have a hard enough time at this without having to deal with rolled up material lol!

There's a bad cold going around, a few people at my work have it. I don't want it!!

Oh fiddle, I forgot what I was going to say.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Well Phyllis, that means I have a bit of a wait yet!!

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Got my package today too! And an extra face that I'm assuming is for one I'll make for Donna. The other envelop for Donna is probably not far behind.

Those faces are so cute! Don't tell the Matel Doll factory or else Miss Betty might have a new career.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Three cheers for Betty, for giving us so much happiness across the USA!!

I got my body and face done!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Just glad they are arriving and not broken...

SPECIAL INSTRUCTION:

you will all have to have a bit of patience with me, might mean at some point, (as in now) you'll have to make changes because perhaps I haven't explained things properly OR I've found ways to better improve...

This change is on the 2 sleeve cuffs..

Yes they must be gathered...

To make things easier, gather on the good side of the material with fairly strong thread AND gather about 1/4" up from the hem fold...

You will see why this is important....

Will be one of the next steps...

Perhaps you've already done this if so....great....if not, it means you will have to remove the thread and redo...

Sure hope I've not confused you..but this method will allow during the gluing with the glue gun NOT to burn your fingers..you'll all appreciate this later I'm sure...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Any trouble doing it???

Wouldn't you know, I've added that change...hope you did it that way and won't have to redo..

Victoria Harbour, ON

Meant to ask...what color is yours Shuggins...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning Betty.
Is there any way you can re-post your instructions , along with the rest of the instructions to get it finished, so it will all be together, or maybe a new thread with just the instructions, start to finish. That way, we can find it easy, and won't have to go back 2 threads to find it all? Just a thought!

Burgundy with gold trim. I actually used a decorative stitch on the bottom of the sleeves, so that I could get a detail on it without making it more difficult to gather. I still have to do the hands, but I don't think that will take long. I also have a few details on the robe to do, but have most of it taken care of.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Linda Kay will do...must go in search of it all..lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks so much, just thought it will be easier for all, if all the instructions are in one place?
Thanks
Linda Kay

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Good idea, LK!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thank you Linda Kay. I was having problems going back and searching for all the instructions. Thanks Betty, it would be a huge help for us "slow" minded ones--
