Yep Deborah, the book's from me :D

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Thank you sis Thank you!♥

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You are very welcome sistah! Now you and Debra won't be so 'lost'... you both got a great book to start quilting like a pro.
I've been hanging on to mine :D
Hi there Judy! Didn't mean to ignore the Embroidery Queen :X

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I used to bring a color chart when I go shopping for fabrics. Not anymore, lately the craze has been anything goes! Like your charm quilts.. nothing matches, but once sewn, they all go well together, just like nature in your garden.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Just once, though.. Jaye... I'd love to get it right at the fabric store... the first time.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Well BJ, I'm still no expert, but Kel's my critique!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Mom did that... the blocks were the same pattern... but each one was different prints... usually from a bag she kept small scraps in... And they always turned out soooo unique...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Your mum is truly a quilt artist, BJ.
She knows how same quilt patterns will assume different identities with different color combos or prints.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Tate Jaye-tsk tsk-the Xmas fairy is the same one as the Bday fairy;) And Fairies LOVE froggie Angels:)

Sorry I scrolled through most of the thread as it was a lot of quilting talk:)

Cindy-I have you for a swap and the fabric is coming in that box along with some of the hearts and stars and stuff I said I would send ya:)

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll never forget the time mom took a quilting class and made this sampler quilt from coordinating fabrics... bought all designer matching prints... she couldn't wait to get that quilt finished... she said she got bored with it...
And actually, none of us thought it one of her best... my niece got that one...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

One day we'll have you quilting too niece!
In that case, when will you be starting your X'mas Fairy? So, I'll be having an early early b'day then?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Fairy Legs... where you been keeping your little self? you haven't visited with us much lately.

Glenview, IL

Waving hi Back Jaye!
I am so impressed with all the quilting.
One day I will "get" it I take whatever I am working on with me to the store, takes forever to satisfy I am happy with the colors materials etc...LOL, like you said scratch my head change mind many times over...NEVER Ever do i fabric shop in a hurry! ROFL, they have even had to ask me to finish up so store can close.

LOL, yesterday chose 5 pieces, will be surprised myself if I send what was chosen...LO(L, visiting another store this week...

Audrey , Sweetie, would love to hand over my job...but, Dunno if there is going to one to do that...Finding out soon if we stay or if we go.
Loved it, been doing it a very long time...I coordinate mailings and presentation information for many, many representatives. But until further notice at a complete standstill, the only reason I get to chat and play...otherwise I'd be going insane...well you know what I mean, cuz I am alreadyinsane, LOLOL. nothing to do is driving me bat and ty!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yah BJ, I bet that quilt was 'blah' to her. I tend to jump from rack to rack when choosing fabrics, not stick to the same bolt numbers!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I tend to just buy a little of everything that strikes my fancy. Then hope when I get home some of it matches, or I have something already that will sort of match... or not...

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I have been busy making stuff for swaps, trying to get all my trades caught up, get my co-op settled-still waiting for the 2nd payment from several folks....I have a couple of special ladies here for the 2 swaps I am in and wanted to some extra stuff for them:)

I will be starting the Xmas fairy the Mon after thanksgiving...

Jaye-what I meant was asking for things like froggies;) The Xmas & Bday fairy gets mad when someone gets the things they were supposed to get from others for a special occasion:)

The good news is I think I FINALLY got my 2009 swap partners pressies figured out!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I got to quit doing that though... I'm running out of room.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

There you go BJ. Got to work with something you love, not because it matches!!
But then when I start laying out with what I have already at home, most of the time I'll return to the store again, just for that one elusive shade!!!

Embroidery must be the same way, when it comes to thread, huh Judy?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Woo Hoo... Stacey's getting caught up... sounds like you'll be back with us more real soon.

Judy.. if you do hand embroidery, and want some more skeins of thread... just poke me, and I'll send you a box full... I need to find it a good home.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Now niece, I never get mad for anything....maybe once :D
---or twice :(
Lolol!!!
I have easy swap buddies!! Gave you all the tough ones!! :P

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

LOL-I am about 30% caught up-it will be another couple weeks before I am there:)

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Okey Dokey then... you hurry up, ya hear?

I'm going to get horizontal and see if I can settle my stomach a bit... if I fall asleep, I'll see ya in the morning... if not, I'll be back in a bit.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Wish I'm living close by to help you niece. You do have your hands full with the co-op. Thanks for doing it..

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

You are welcome, now comes shipping slips, detailed plant info, sollecting shredded paper for packing ordering boxes, etc.....and I am still working on Xmas pressies, the recipe box and halloween swaps, want to get started on the wreath and the 2009 swap, have to get stuff planted, 2 lasagne beds started, seeds collected, annuals pulled, trades sent-I need like 2 more of me and 48 hrs in a day!!LOL Then I can get done:(

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'm tired already reading your to do list!!
Poor you...but that's you! You do enjoy being busy right.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Sometimes, but I really feel like I need to relax-started looking for a new job testerday-the straw was piled onto the camel that broke it's back yesterday:(

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

When a job started doing you in, it's time to walk away from it.
Hope you find you a better one, or something you love doing.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

me too-nervous about looking, but when you work for a place where no one seems to appreciate you or want to be part of a team, that is when you feel unwatned:(

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone.
Stacey, hope you find a new job too. I kow you will find that perfect one soon.
Bj, hope your feeling ok, when do you see your doc?
I am going to bed also, so sleep well everyone.

psst-LK-new room

Pangburn, AR(Zone 7b)

I was in Illinois visiting family for about 2 weeks. Got back late last night, and had doctors appointment today.
My brother has a computer but the motherbord got fried. All that time and no computer!!!!

"Your buddy would like to know what ingredients you use to bake with, your likes, color preferences, and anything you think she should know."

Well, flour(of course), C&H Sugar(and no other sugar, just C&H), coconut(I toast it in the oven and make my own haystacks), and corn meal(DH loved cornbread).

I love swans, Indian collectables(Friends of the Feather are my favorite), flo-blue dishes(I collect them), daffodils(all white and/or pink and white), Thomas Kinkade(the gazebo, streams, garden gates, bridges, not the light houses or houses), wind chimes, I like Angels, Angel wings, crosses, puzzles, I collect cups and saucers and antique plates, Happy Bunny caps, and I love Eeyore!

I love cobalt blue, and the color blue on Flo-Blue dishes. I also like burgundy and pink.

I like doing graphics on the computer, I have a T-Shirt press and design lots of shirts, I don't like to sew or iron, I do like to etch and carve(but with the arthritis in my hands, I don't do it as much as I would like to), and I love chai tea. Oh, and I make lots and lots of fudge.

Well, that should give you a few ideas, LOL.
