Everything's cool..
We had dinner at the Golden Corral NMB, Tina.
You should call me when you are in town. I do live in Myrtle Beach though. Just a hop skip and jump from NMB.
Audrey, why are you still up? Have you finished with the Santa outfit?
Mine's going to be quite unique. In fact, the robe is printed green and white, and the hood is red.
That will be great Tina. Just dmail me your phone number. Then I can bring you some cuttings!
Most weekends we'd rendezvous in MB. Only place to get decent food. This weekend, Kel will have to finish closing the porch.
You asked me if I knew where Tabor City was. Do you live near there??
Living in Tabor, with the Federal Prison as my neighbor :(
Don't worry sistahs, actually it's just 1/4 mile up the road. The prison is a high security one. Only the beavers are on the loose :D
Thanks Jaye
Still waiting for dinner, DH should be home in a few...he teaches a class on Monday night....but we almost never eat dinner before 8-9 o'clock.....
Guess we should try and behave ourselves tonight huh? We dinna mean to......
You will have to show us a picture of your Santa's outfit, it sounds neat!!
Hi Audrey.....wavin' !!!
I didn't know that there was a federal prison in TC. It's true that you learn something new everyday !!
You need to participate in the photo comp. Trisha. You got photo skills sistah!
So, what's for dinner.
I'm tempted to do oxtail soup tomorrow, if I can find some oxtails here.
Have you ever tried Thai food, Tina? Our fav. Thai restaurant is the Bangkok House.
Never tried it but hey I'm always up to new things. I did try some Sushi the other day- Not my cuppa tea. Yuk- I had to gracefully put it in my napkin. Couldn't even chew it. lol
Threw a chicken in to roast, steamed broccoli and Cauliflower, and my mother brought me a dish of something that looked like really fine creamed corn, she says its squash, cook it like you would pancakes......we'll see what it turns in to?
Thanks, I love to take pictures......I have entered a couple of categories....will have to see what else I can come up with...
He' home! I am starved so if you ladies are still around after dinner I will talk to ya then, if not have a good night......give Kel an elbow, maybe he'll stop snoring for a little while...lol! If not, I have some duct tape!
I heard that!!!! Thai is wonderful.....we have some really good places around here too!

You don't have to worry about me insisting on Sushi. Not too keen on Japanese food.
For ethnic foods, I like Indian at "Bombay at the Beach" the only Indian restaurant anyway; German.. "Bodo's"; Austrian.. "Cafe ole Vienna"... Chinese -- a couple good ones there.
We just got a PF Changs here. I love it !!
Trisha, unfortunately most of the Thai restaurants here serve 'sweet' food :( They use too much sugar in everything. Bad for diabetics like me.
But Bangkok House has this old Thai cooks, and they flavor the dishes without adding too much sugar..
Bon Appetit!
Thanks for reminding me, Tina. We just have to make a trip there one day!
Hey we've been good tonight !! I've got to get to sleep. Work tomorrow.
Good nite Tina..
Where's the duct tape, Trisha?
Think I'll try read something boring..

Jaye, there are safe topics out there. Ask mom, way too much of what I would normally talk about is a no-no on here, so I have to watch myself.
Current list for The Travels of Cedric and Bailey
BJ - bjwilson
Debbie - DebbiesDaisy
Debra – fleursdefouquet
Jaye - heavenscape
Jim – Potagere
Laura - Zhinu
Linda Kay - taters55
Stacey - Fairy1004
Trisha - Zhinusmom
If you’re not on here and want to be dmail me.
Guess for the sake of harmony, we might have to keep certain opinions to ourselves.. I can accept that.
Laura, will you be joining in the sistahs' quilting frenzy?
Aww.. so many sistahs missing...
Come on now sistahs, more of us can play host to Cedric :(
Back again!!! Still have the duct tape....
The Thai places here are pretty good.....a little sweet, but not too bad. One in particular the owners wife, who is Thai, is the cook and hasn't "Americanized" the food like so many places have. I find a few dishes sweeter than I like, but not too bad.
And yes, when Laura, her brother and My DH get together they start " Discussing" things, usually politics or other controversial issues and I end up with a headache....the longer they discuss, the louder they get!!
Jaye, I might make a couple quilts in my life, but other than to cover my bed and a couple gifts I can't really see myself doing so and honestly most of those I'd do by hand if I was going to do so.
It's actually one of the reasons I love my DH, we can have those conversations without ending up bored or wanting to strangle each other (most of time).
I won't call our 'most of the time agreeable' conversations boring. This is a 360 compared to what I had with my ex!!
But Kel can tell you that I like to play the Devil's Advocate sometimes!!
I do too, and my DH is always a Smart A$$, but somehow we still manage to not get mad at each other. Even when we do get mad, it's not screaming or crying mad, just the frustration of trying to convince someone of something they don't want to hear.
I thought others might want to hear this. Someone shared some misgivings about having anything to do with Cedric and Bailey if they came to visit them. When Shawn and I were in the UK we loved staying at Polly's B&B in Hathersage; the food was great, we had our own rooms after staying at hostels for the trips up to that point, and the days we spent there were more laid back. So the best parts of the trip aren't necessarily "tours". What would you do with a friend that came to visit you from WA? Just think about that, plan it out, and take pictures of you and Cedric doing so. For some people they would take friends to see the Statue of Liberty or the like, others would just hang out and drink tea. I'd love to see pictures of both ends and everything in the middle. Like Cthulu here drinking tea.
Does Cthulu takes his tea with milk, or cream?
How do you pronounce his name, and what is he??
Black tea he takes with cream and sugar, but he prefers herbals. I put up a whole bunch on Cthulu here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/917826/ including definition and pronunciation.
Agreeing with Redchic... we do learn something new everyday.
Cthulu is much more handsome than that Davy Jones fella in Pirates of the Caribbean..
I'll see you all tomorrow, Lord willing!
Nite Trisha and Laura!
Night Jaye...
Night Jaye, sleep well.
OMG-I apparantly missed all the drama yesterday!! I agree with Laura-if you and cedric pig out on Sundaes and pizza, well then that is a pic of quality time together:) If you take a bubble bath, the we can see Cedric relaxing:) (only Cedric please) I think that we should purchase insurance instead of a DC-what if they loose him????? What do you all think??? YEAH-Jim is playing too-can't wait to see where Cedric goes in France!!
Jaye-I had to really try not to squirt coffee out my nose this am because of the title of that book!!! Something about stripping?? Is pole dancing included??LOL
I got a little misty over the fabric BJ-what a sweet sentiment!!
I don't think Kathy will be happy til she lives on the equator!!LOL
I am sad about the clippings-I laughed my butt off over them yesterday am-oh well:)
Wouldn't it be great if we rented like a yaht (sp??) and all vacationed there together sometime?? I know we can rent them from my timeshare-sleeps like 15 or something-maybe in the future we will have to check that out-we could drink martini's and wear sprkly trashy clothes!!LOL
Phyllis-can I be your bartending buddy @ Bj's-I have quite a drink repertoir(sp?) too:)
My fave drink in the winter actually is hot cocoa (Ghiridelli) w/ Capt. Morgan's Parrot bay-YUMMY!!!
Morning everyone! Where are you all? I know it is cool, but it is time to rise and shine!
If I can sit here still in my jammies, you can too!
Fresh coffe on for everyone. help yourself.
Hope everyone had a good nights sleep.
Marion have you made it home yet? We are waiting for you to check in. tell us all about your class reunion, and your fabric store stop on the way home...
Jim, you take real good care of Cedric, and Bailey while you have them there in France.
Linda Kay
Morning LK... looks like Cedric is coming to MY house first... YIPPEE... I do hope we have some nice weather while he's here so we can get outside and play a bit.
We were suppose to get frost last night... but it only got down to 38, and woke up to no frost on the ground. I was kind of looking forward to seeing the glistening grass...
Thanks for the coffee LK... mmmmm.
BJ, your welcome, there is plenty where that came from. Hope you have some covering ready to protect your plants. You don't them to freeze? Or have you filled your back porch already?
Can't wait to see the pictures of Crdic & Bailey!
LK
