Kim. How are you sending cuttings. Are you sending them unrooted? I got sevral plants too, I gettign ready to cut back, but haven't offered unrooted cuttings before cuz didn't think they would make it.

WOW 31 . i feel like i just started coming around here like a week ago and it was like #24 or something. lol . how can you be in love with a plant just from pics . i love the brugs i have and i have daydreams about how they are gonna be .

Hey Dana bug, Hey Donna! Yep, we are a fast talking bunch allright ☺ Ella, unrooted cuttings are easy to send. Just remove any leaves and wrap the cut end in moistened paper towel and cover the towel with Saran wrap. Easy peasy!

Dana, hard to believe I'd never heard of Brugs until the day I got my first one at an RU, June 28. Seems like I've been into them forever. I've NEVER cared this much about any plant before. It's so gratifying though!

Ella don’t worry about the coffee, I made some for everyone around 5 am. You were probably already covered in dirt by then. Hope you didn’t do to much, those heavy pots can be back breakers.

Dana, give us a little more time and we will have you addicted to a lot more than burgs. Since I’ve been on DG I have discovered a whole world of plants that I didn’t even know existed before and I love everything I see.

oh i know ,when i saw the roots peaking through the orchid moss i was lit up . with roses i dont even try rooting them ive had so many cuttings die , except an air layering . and if they did root i killed them by poking around to much. i still love my roses though . i just cant wait till next year !! i have dreams about what they smell like and feel like . the pics i torture my self with are so pretty and im determined to have mine look like that .

i already am . lol i still love my favorites but theres nothing like a new plant fixation .and theres nothing like someone there nudge you over the edge , or should i say someones lol .

Thanks for the welcome back, Clemen. Hi Donna, Dana, Ella and everybody. Here is the scoop on the Thunbergia grandiflora. It's a very vigorours vine. You need a sturdy support like an arbor for these vines:

Ella, the vines should do fine being sent out fresh with the ends being wrap like described above by Karen (?). They take root easily like brugs - in water. For those that are interested you can send me your addy via my dmail. A bood of stamps will cover the postage.

ok heres a funny :o) My friends know me TOO well! teehee!

At the halloween party last night we were playing a game. The hostess pins a piece of paper on the back of each person. Each paper had a halloween themed word or name on it (witch, freddy kreuger, headless horseman...etc) and the person had to figure out what was pinned on their back by asking others yes or no questions. WELL... after many, many questions... I finally figured out that she pinned 'Devil' on me! teehee! My poor daughter tried to give me hints... etc.. I finally got out of her that the word could be found in the bible... like THAT was much help! lol! and that the word would remind me of my kids and myself.... everyone thought it was hilarious that it took me most of the night to figure it out! grr! of course they all had LOTS of fun at my expense, trying to get me off on a different thought process....lol! The game WAS lots of fun too! maybe something we can play at our hottie RU...just naming plants/flowers instead of monsters :oD

Clemmie.. what's up?? not much..lol.. Nooooo.. I didn't eat that many of my crab legs last night, but they were really good!! Lyle saved me "some"... lol
Donna.. I would never cook if Lyle wasn't here everyday! I cook supper, but at least we are on our own for breakfast and lunch.. but when we worked I even had to cook breakfast with biscuits and gravy... the works.... man he was spoiled!! he's still pretty spoiled though!

Well heck the guy gave us a bid on the GH and Lyle is balking on the price... dad gum him..lol... he was already balking, so I figured he was fishtailing!! I guess I need to think of a plan B... something that will convince him he is still obligated to keep his promise to me!!

evening hotties, hi there kimbob, Anjil, karen, Clemen, donna, betty, audrey, dana Becky, Peg, LindaKay, Bonnie, Louise.. did I miss anyone.... had a great day at Tropicmans' place again today.. I actually climbed up his metal ladder to the top of his roof, got on his roof to stare at the most gorgeous passion vine ever that had gone crazy up there, had about 30 beautiful smelling vines, Ruby Glow I believe he called it.. anyways, he gave me three "y" tree cuttings from his white knight, his georgia peach and a pink something LOL (chrub) I think.. I cooked up a pot of red beans and rice cajun style with cornbread , ( Chile salsa and Peppers mixed in the cornbread) also made a pot of sloppy joe, and a pot of rigatoni w/bread sticks today before I left. Then I made some minestroni soup so we should be good for the rest of the week here..
I recieved today:
a roja red banana tree, sugar cane plant, firecracker vine, two passiflora vines, lions tail,
elephant trunk amaranthus, crenimum(sp?) and gosh.. I know he gave me some more stuff I can't remember now, I'm tired. Brought in my "star" geraniums, and my two potted tomatoe plants and I have a little jungle going on down here in the basement.
Love that blue thunbergia , now I have to have some lol ..
I like the flower game idea too, and the Daydream is a Dream! {{{huggers}}}
