witch hazel. No, not mine. ok, so you all knew that. At the display garden again.
Garden Photos - Part 41
Once again great pictures RC
NO WONDER you rake the driveway.
What a house keeping nightmare.
We would have those wet leaves tracked all over the house.
Very nice photos, folks--drooling over your greenhouse, Willie. Like Candyce, our trees are either brown or leafless now--all the annuals are blackened, a few perennials are still showing blooms---some phlox, chrysanths, & Montauk daisies. I actually bought a bunch of roses at the grocery store yesterday to cheer myself up--they look nice, but no smell! How many more months til May?
Truly hard to decide which photo is the favorite! I have always wanted to plant Hamamelis, it looks great there in the sun. Can't wait until my red maple grows up like yours, Bev.
I am glad y'all are enjoying the greenhouse shots .... Not much else around my yard to photo any more, save some late climbing roses. Maybe I can get myself out to trek to some hidden treasures in the area for you to see.
I like the purple and green "patchwork" leaf. It would be a pretty pressed leaf.
Robin, I like your idea of the flowers. Hey if it helps the florists make it through the winter.......
... and it will certainly help us make it through the winter!
shelly i think the deer are doing a good job trimming your jm's they look pretty good to me!!
Yes - very nice, Shelly. You're ahead of me. My Koto hasn't started turning yet.
Thanks Bill. I was intending for beni komachi to be a dwarfish and rounded tree, however I was not expecting all four shrubs (cercis, koto no it and cornus are the others) in the area to be the same height and shape :-p Although, now that I'm used to their new shape, I do like how full they are!
Thanks Victor, my guess is that it's an elevation thing. Although, you might be higher than I am...I'm at about 2000' (different GPS's say different things), but that's pretty darn close.
what a beautiful composition in the shot from the bedroom.
Thank you, Jo Ann. It's actually from the living room.
really pretty shots Victor
ohhhhh.... I love the fothergilla blue shadow Victor. it's a nice contrast to all the really bright fall colors. Jm Autumn Moon is living up to it's name as well!
Candyce, I'm glad you were able to finish that up for me! My thoughts exactly.
Nice shots Victor and RC.
that forsythia is pretty neat RC
thanks to you both and good morning. I wish that I could think of the name of it right now. It's very striking this time of year.
debilu, were you caboose camping again?
again?
We went last weekend, and I posted a thread about it. We have been going just about every year.

do I get confused who was caboose camping? whoops :-p It's definitely time for some sleep for me.
The forsythis is Forsythia v.k. 'Kumson'
I edited my post, you're not confused!
I'm going to look up that forsythia, I like it.

Ok, I wasn't completely confused then. For some reason I was thinking that you were going again. Ahhh. Oh well, there are worse things to get turned around about!
Your trip looked like it was a lot of fun. I'm not sure if there's anything like that around here. It would be fun to look into though.

the Forsythia is normally a medium green and white in the summer. It definitely makes a statement in the fall, even for a small plant. I've never seen a larger one of it.
Nice, Shelly. I have Kumson too and really like it. I'm not a fan of regular forsythia.
