I am thinking I should do that sooner than later, as, I bet back in the late 70's they weren't too savvy with the archival quality matting, etc. where she took it to be framed.
I think I see some foxing beginning to set in.
I actually might have an "in," perhaps, with the University, as I once took a course in Archival Preservation. Maybe they will be willing to use these to teach future preservationists how to properly preserve something like this for me. Certainly would be an interesting exercise / mystery for them to decide if they are authentic.
Garden Photos - Part 41
Thanks, Victor! She's still a baby, only about 2 foot tall, yet.
Great JM shots, Bill.
My white Delf is still in bloom too. I'm not sure why it's not all black....
pixie you should see my EE's the frost got the foliage while i was away this week - i'm not sure why this is blooming as well. it is time to dig them up!
thanks victor - what about the tulip tree? looks kinda rough back there doesn't it:)
I also checked out the little henry tag - this may come as a surprise, it did to me - you were right! lol my eyes are going bad FAST. the cypress i got is a saffron spray cypress that grows to 3' x 4' it is deep green juvenile foliage splashed by gold adult foliage. need to get these in the ground this weekend.
Bill, that area that you have going there with the tulip tree, euonymus, and hyd. quirk's is a really nice arrangement. It has a lot of color now and I'm sure in a just a year or so it'll fill in really nicely. I 'like the bumble too!! it's cute. The Sango kaku is so bright. I think I like them more this time of year than any other.
Jan, come on over anytime! love to have you. Bring your camera will figure out all the settings. lol
Willie, I'm so jealous that you have soo much going on at your place right now.
Victor, I think I'm going to get a sugar maple now and plant it over in the neighbors field since they don't have power lines. (they're not going to build on it for another year or two, maybe it will grow on them and they'll keep it.)
Great idea, Shelly!
Thanks for the shots of the pencil tree, Willie. Love your GH even with all the shuffling.
Lol, Shelly. I'd love that, I think DH is coming out at Christmas. At least one of us needs to be here for mom. It's his turn, but you can be sure that when it is MY turn I will be on your doorstep ( camera in hand) I think DS still has it BTW.
Bill thats a beautiful CB JM. Does the bark stay coral all year?
Must be beautiful in winter.
Good morning RC
I love the cat-- is it's name RC also?
Thanks RC I hope to use it in Feb and March to cheer myself up.
Those are the really dangerous months here, very gray and awfull weather, makes winter depression worse.
My street is sooooo boring! Only color is brown. :-(
It's so nice to see your Sugar Maples, Coral Barks, Koto No Ito, Autumn Moons – all those vibrant yellows and reds!
I have a list growing for the arboretum that I will suggest my neighbors help me plant up and down the street. I was thinking of having a yard sale with "FREE TREES." Maybe that would bring out those with the boring square and round yews. You know, the ones that have a single red geranium planted between each of them.
I do have an Acer rubrum seedling I have been nurturing for two years now from the National Arbor Day Foundation. That will add some red to the scene in about 10 years. It's about two foot tall only.
If anyone ever needs any photo editing, send it to me. It's what I do.
I will be happy to make any adjustments that you require!
Beautiful shots, Shelly. Love the Autumn Moon.
ahhh crud. I shouldn't type when I'm tired. Thanks for mentioning it Victor or who knows when I might have caught it, but that maple is 'Aureum', not autumn moon. I want to get an Autumn moon now after having seen everyones nice trees here.
dragonfly your picture and fall colors are pretty just as they are! I like the contrast between the blue and the yellow.
Willie, your idea sounds great. Hopefully it works! although, while you may have a brown street, you don't hardly need to think a thing of it since you have so many interesting things blooming and changing with the indoor/greenhouse plants.

Hi RC you still awake?
Ohhh nooo.... I just got up and am getting ready to head off to work here in a few. I was just going to mention to you that I'm certain i'll end up using pictures as well during feb and march to tide me over until the sun starts showing again.
red I know I like the yellow and blue too but there is a wire across the left side that I don't like. BEV
well, you can tell how captivated I am by colors.... I didn't even notice the wire until you said something.
Hey rd that tree is over a block away. The evening sun was on it and caught my eye. BEV
I sure wish that I had some colors to add to all these beautiful photos, but all the leaves are gone from the trees, and my gardens are all frost-burned. Ahh, fall! But then, winter is the great equalizer.
ge - the bark gets coral in the winter.
Shelly nice shots of the jm. might have to look at the koto no ito
Willie, I love all your greenhouse plants. You look like you have the same Rex begonia that I have. Don't know the name, but it is purple, sea green, with almost black veining. I love the colors in it. I have one other Rex that I don't know the name of. Will take a pic of it soon.
Bill, I love your CB JM. Beautiful fall foliage.
Shelly, I love your 2 JM's, too. That 'Aureum' really has some great color. That hydrangea is very pretty, too.
Great pics, all!
Karen
Bill, here's a little bit brighter of a picture of Koto no ito, however it's really best to look it up in plant files or google since the deer really and truly did make a shrub out of it. It has a nice small tree look to it, now it looks like a....????? tall arborvitae maybe. But the foliage is true!
