Morning morning, I am finally in the office! So I see that only two hotties wanted a piece of that gorgeous blue brug, oh well, not much interest on one of a kind species, OK, don't come begging to me when those 2 hotties get their babies in the mail, hee hee!

Beckie, sending prayers your way baby, hang in there girl!

Love to all anyway, need to start some serious work!

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

No I have not done that yet but I have been gardening sorry. I have a lot if new plants that still need to go in the ground or get transplanted.

(Cathy), MO

Good morning all. Clemen is that real??? I didn't think there was a blue or purple brug?? If it's real, I definately want a start!!!

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

hee hee

(Cathy), MO

Aha! Just what I thought! LOL

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

You don't believe this sweet latin hottie??

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Clemen you tricky photoshop silly! Thought you'd get us all this morning, huh? ROTFLMAO
That made my morning! Sure, I'd LOVE a cutting!

Boy am I sore this morning! Old body didn't want to get up. I have a mammogram today. Hope all of you get mammograms!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's important!

Well, yesterday was day 7 of Lily being gone so I am beginning to think that we will never see her again. I hope she lived and some generous soul took her in. Sweet baby girl. Bonnie a cutting of Lady Margaret in the spring sounds great! I got a cutting from Maggi this summer and the dogs knocked over the jar of water without me knowing and it dried up. LOVE the red passies!

Becky praying today is better. How is Lyle feeling? Did you get him on a walker?

(Cathy), MO

But of course I believe you!!! How could I ever question a hottie sister??!!

Wouldn't it be beautiful though if it did exist?? You need to get to work propagating and crossing until it's reality! :-)

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Morning all....so far so good today, can even take a breath. Was really late to work if you can call 7am late.

I have seeds to put in the mail today, and a bruggie.

Have about 12 seeds from my buddah belly plant to give away, if anyone wants to start an unusual plant. I really like mine it is just fun. Figure I can send 3 seeds to 4 peoples.....dmail me otherwise we will switch post and I will lose who wanted some...

Later

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone, just skimming through. I woke up this morning, had to call hubby back home from work, then run to the vet. Our 9 year old siberian husky, got into a porcupine, and he has a bunch of 2 inch quills in his nose, so he is being sedated as I type, for removal, and he will be able to come this afternoon. Just one more thing to add more gray hair!!!!
I will come back later, and try to catch up to everything.
Linda Kay

ME ME! Happ, Please? I want some buddah belly... d-mailing NOW! :)

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Linda Kay, poor lil baby, that has GOT to be painful... hope it's over as I type this.. Karen, I really have a gut feeling Lily is being loved and cared for.. there are still loving people in the world and I think they are caring for her... and maybe if you can, put another ad in the paper.. such a sad time for you.. but I think you are handling it great (I know it can't be easy) and you just never know.. miracles DO happen.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Shhhhhhh... i'm peeping in from work ; } Hi to all my Hotties and Handsomes..TTYL ^_^

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

KIM! I was thinking (a missing, to) about you last night... How do you feel about our possible H&H RU?? You HAVE to be there, you're our Mega Hottie Momma... the reason we are all together having fun... a perpetual Her Highness Hottie, oh Great one! The original "She's about to..." poster!

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Mornin hotties! Clemen you lil trouble maker! LOL Bonnie lovin the pics and soooo happy you and Deb get to meet! Still busy here tryin to collect seeds and cuttings and other things that cannot be mentioned on this thread that require indoor tasks. It was Rosies birthday and my carpet now looks like a toy graveyard. She had fun destroying all of her new presents. She is a toy destroying machine! Here she is playing competition fly ball.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

This is the only picture we ever got of her "on the run". She was so fast she was out of the frame before the camera clicked so all the other pics are frames without her in it lol.

Happy to include those as well - can't believe I didn't put the name of the red one in my journal...ugh...fingers crossed the tag is still out there...

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Morning Louise,
Looks like Rosie is having a ball, what a cutie

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

I am sorry to hear about your baby Linda Kay. That must be so painfull, poor baby!

Yeah I'm trouble maker today, hee hee and I love it!

BTW Javier told me last night that the hottie RU should be here in the big apple! Anyone up for it, lol, he also said he would give you all a mighnight cruise on the boat! How bout that!

OK back to work

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Ok, got a couple of pictures of my plants... Here is my seedling table and fertilizers/potions, LOL

Chantell, will do.. Clemen and I are determined to find the "secret" to rooting them.. (actually she prolly has better luck than me, so I'll learn from her..shhh;)
Louise! You have Rosie enrolled in outside activities!! How adorable... smart lil girl (and fast) you have.. how sweet.
Cat, I think the experts are getting some success on a lavendar brug... (I lurk on other peoples threads on the brug forum... I know they are lurking on this thread;) maybe it was Dollie or Gordon, maybe not -CRS... but I think WE all know from those rose of sharons and hibiscus's... although there are a few out there....a true blue flower of any kind is hard to come by.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Close up so Aunt B can see my Bruggie cuttings ☺ the plastic is so I can spray the recipe without it getting everywhere

My big plants

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Karen, will those cups, be big enough to keep them in, until spring?

Thanks everyone. He is in good hands, I just wish I could be by his side.

Looks like everyone is getting ready for winter. I told hubby yesterday, I need to find a place for all my big 6 foot brugs, but I think I will just (GULP) cut them back, and start with new cuttings next spring. I wish they were in the ground, so I would not have to worry about them? They are mostly noids, so not that big of a deal. Oh well, I know they will be back, I just waited so long this summer for a bloom. Nothing so far, but I am not ready to cut them yet. Maybe I still have a chance for a bloom???

Morning Hotties...who's got the coffee? I only slept three hours....not off to vets in a bit, then to docs.

Clem I want a cutting!!blue is my favorite color! teehee

{{Karen}} I'll still keep you and Lily in my prayers.

AuntB...Youre finally posting on the right thread?! teehee

LindaKay...I received your card yesterday...thank you so much, that was really sweet of you and definitely brightened my day :o)

Dana....OMG My youngest son would get in trouble (hmmm, maybe a mini TM?) and as I was putting him in time out and explaining why...etc... he would just walk up to me and give me a big hug and say "I sowwy" sheesh he ALMOST had me caving in every time! LOLOL! Then he and I (he's now 12) were listening to DrLaura not too long ago and Dr Laura told this teenage gal to do the same exact thing with her father when he was yelling...to just walk up to him and give him a hug in the middle of it all....DS and I just started giggling.... guess he was able to figure that one out at a really young age! lol! he's definitely my lil manipulator lol!

Donna, I'll be lounging today too... we can lounge together..right after I get back from the docs :o)

Louise waving at you!! and all the rest of the hotties/handsomes/TM's out there...have fun at 'work' today :o)

Linda Kay! Ouch your poor baby!! Great pics Karen!! Looks like a laboratory for sure! Don't get me started on blue flowers! My pet peeve that they call things blue or lavender or purple when they aren't. I have a rose called wild blue yonder. I guess if you poke yourself in the eye and then squint you could call it blue!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

She is going to the most goodlookingest dr today, I passsed on going with, I wanted to come running home to look at my monster brug this am..anyway, no sleep all nite so am a little bruggy... I was looking at aunt Bs basement and hers and mine are about the same, but i dont have those nice big lights up..where do I get those at Bonnie??? My basement USED to be finished, so it is heated..

LindaKay do you HAVE to overwinter yours indoors? I'm in zone 9b and mine should be fine outside in pots.... Maybe just take cuttings of yours and put the pots in a protected area (eave overhang sheltered from winds) they may be okay outside ....?
sorry to hear about your furbaby, sounds painful! I am so glad we dont have porcipines around here! sis has them and has had several vet bills cause her furbaby just doesnt learn! teehee! I'm more scared of the vultures flying around here and getting my baby....

lol louise! that sounds painful too! I think I'd just settle for a purple flower teehee

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

This is my first year with brugs, so I don't know if they would survive. I would hate to take the chance, and they don't make it, so maybe cut them back just incase, and wrap the pots in bubble wrap or something?
Any info here would be appreciated. I just don't know what to do???
LK

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Oh, Karen thanks for posting pics... look at you go! Plastic covered surface AND backsplash! woohoo! Your plants all look so happy and content... great looking brug rootlings, too! Debra I love that picture of those 3 hotties! Dear Pauline... she's so pretty.. and a good looking doc, today! Go Pauline! ;) Funny our winter greenhouses are similiar.. although my basement has never been finished, we did put in a few barrier/dividing walls and the new staircase before for we moved in so long ago. But that's okay, I don't worry so much about spilled potting mix and water or bug sprays... I didn't like the sticky film Neem left on everything last winter when I was fighting aphids but I hope to just use the recipe (and my not so earth friendly additives, already treated with) and be okay this year. AnjL, keep us posted on your findings and hope you get your routine back to normal real soon..

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

do you get snow? or hard frost? I would say take some cuttings to keep indoors just in case you loose one...but instead of cutting them way back, just try it this year and see. I'd think they would be fine. I'm in a little microclimate here cause I'm right near the bay (bay breeze warms things?) but we get down into the teens a few times in the winter. no snow. so my babies are going under the eave and up against the so side of the house where they are sheltered from our no winds.

and if yours survive, you'll have rooted cuttings to share with newbies next spring :o)

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

LindaKay, I can't imagine a darling pooch getting stuck with porc quills poor thing! hello to all of you.. trying to get this after pic I took last month to show you what a year can do...
