Okay, everybody IS going to tell me about all the Neem discussion? The brain isn't taking in any more IN today and it's barely puttin out....I'll take THIS opportunity to post a pic or two..

Samigal Pegi, I didn't put holes in the bottom of the cups.. I couldn't wait to look any longer, I HAD to see.. I cut the cup off and carefully nudged the moss away.. snapped the pic and re-cupped..

See.. missread your post.. dah- They are seed from a brug cross of Magic Mountain X Double White!! Congrats Hummingbird!! You're going to germinate brug seeds and A wonderful cross, so many possibilities.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

ahhhhhhhhh Debbie, your jungle looks lovely, just wat until I am done, I have them all over the place, the neat one is where i live, haa haa you have not seen my mess yet!\

WHERE r the trouble makers anyway???? lol!

(Marymac) Statesvi, NC(Zone 7a)

Does that mean It will have both bloom colors on same plant????

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Go to the Plant Files and look up those brugs, they are both gorgeous.. you could get a combo of their traits.
Here's the "greenhouse" yesterday.....still under construction.. but it's in there. 4 big brugs to go, it's Standing Room Only.

Probably not.. I'm not familiar with the Double White, but Mountain Magic is a good strong beautiful bloomer, I'm sure the DW just as pretty....maybe a double pink bloom, or a single pink or a single white... the blooms may start out white and turn to pink.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Mountain Magic was the pod parent (the seed pod grew on MM) and Double White was the "donor".. I did my first successful cross this summer..

ok great...Thanks for all your help....I got lots to learn but here I feel I'll have many wonderful friends to help...

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

I say successful.. yes it grew a pod, but now it will need time (2-5months) to ripen before I can germinate the seed, then a growing season or two to grow some out to see what I get.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

WOW Aunt B, what a place, I had seen it when you first brought in the plants, but now I see you are serious!!! wow GORGEOUS, keep it going girl and teach us all how to create that heaven of yours!!!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

I'll try to keep it about 60, it stays 50 unless it's 0 outside, Then I use a little space heater, but I think 60 will keep everyone happier. I'll hang some plastic on the end where I was standing to take the picture. Some years, I put an airstone in my 5 gal bucket rooters. They seem to do fine without, too.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Aw, Karen.. I bet you are a tired Hottie.. Please DO post pics, bet it's all purring and looks so nice. Nite sweetie! I'm about to head myself.. long day.

Watertown, NY

Hummingbird, I sent you those seeds, but not in an envelope, they where in a box along with some nice cuttings and other packets of seeds and from NY. The double white is actually Golden lady. I was not sure of the identity when I wrote up those envelopes.

You should have gotten it last week. If you didn't receive the box then let me know. I know I mailed it last Tuesday.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Clemen, Karen, Dana.. You Hotties, we kinda carried the thread tonight, right here before bedtime..GREAT job! Just wanted to give you a HIGH five! ;) Clemen you R a TM! Aw, I luv ALL you hotties! night

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Please............keep me away from plant trading........I am completely out of control!

OK, I am composed now. Love all the shots of the plant rooms. I am not sharing pics until I get mine cleaned up, what a mess! It is going to get worse because I still have some plants I haven't brought in yet.....I want to wait until it is dark, raining, and freezing cold (otherwise I can't imagine why I am waiting)

Bonnie, you are smarter than me. I called my boss on his cell phone one day to tell him I was late to find out he was in Oklahoma....nothing like ratting yourself out....LOL The one thing I hated when I was single was car problems...I could handle the house problems, work problems, anything but not car problems! It is expensive and I always felt I was being ripped off. I drive about 85 miles a day so cars don't last me anytime at all now. Bought this car in January and it has 28,000 miles on it already.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Hi theraglady! OH, Golden Lady! (Even better, Hummingbird).. I wondered if Double White was a named brug.. The mystery is solved! Nice cross raglady! I'm lovin the small growers.

BECKIE! sorry I missed you.. I bet you are too tired to sleep.. we didn't leave you.. but I am trying to get to bed.. call me if you want to.. right now.. I mean it. ((((Becky)))))

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

My feelings exactly on the problem thing.. and he never tells me anything, so I just don't care anymore... I'm glad he wasn't IN the air, least I knew I could have the truck hauled to where my car was.... probably would have anyway.. aw come on Joyce show us some pics now... please? I still have stuff I mean plants to stuff in there! lol Okay hotties, I'm going.. :)

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Me too....nite to all you who are still awake and coherent....LOL

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

awake..but not coherent! see what happens when you sleep all day? awake all night :(
gonna go pull out my new J D Robb novel and read myself to sleep :)

DeRidder, LA(Zone 9a)

Thought you might want to check out this post on how to make containers with foam/stucco.....very interesting if any of you Hotties have an artistic nature.

Morning Hotties, went to the greenhouse this a.m., smells good down there- no bloom or bud loss, yet. My rootlings are well. AnjL I started a book while waiting for the tow truck yesterday-(forced reading-I mean HEY I found some time, lol) The Changling Garden.. found in a box while re-arranging downstairs.. now to keep reading it and get everything else done.. Hope your fever has broken and you have a much much better day today. Dollie, I went to the link and that is some good interesting reading, too. Thx for posting.. That Gordon! He's a plant maniac, too! ;) Hi Gordon!
Becky, thoughts going out to you.. hope you got some good rest.
Karen- I meant to tell you last night I have Lady Margaret Passiflora, she's a youngin, but if that one is red like you want, I'll put you down for a cutting when it's available... (hope next spring)..
ok, have to tell you hotties, cause I'm just so excited!!... Debra and I are having a "itty bitty hottie ru" next week.. we're doing a meet and swap and talk.. finalized plans last night.. II just had to share cause I'm so excited to meet and hug Hottie Debra! I'm doing major "surgery" on one of my pink noid tree brugs and she's getting the "amputated" 7ft tree cutting.. (and some other stuff I've been saving) and her Hottie want list brug, too....Debra, I'm SO happy we set a date! Can't wait to see how that cutting is going to fit in your Honda.. but my motto IS: If it doesn't fit, make it fit! Oh, we are going to have fun!
Carpe diem, Hotties (I still say Handsomes are Hotties, too!)

Mikey! did you see that uncupped cutting I posted up there?? Cool, huh? Karen how are your lil soldiers doing? Lots of new growth?

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Morning H & H’s
Hope everyone got some sleep.
I had a hard time finding neem here too, I found some in one of the more pricy garden centers and paid around $15. If is a ready to spray and no bigger than a regular bottle of 409 so the concentrated price look good to me.
Dana, I wish I could do some of the work on my car, I really paying out the big buck too. I’m just not a mechanical person, tools hate me. I can’t even change the oil.
Anjl hope you got back to sleep, you need to rest but you also have to at least call the dr. You should not be running a temp.
Bonnie that cutting in the moss looks great. How long has it been rooting? The basement greenhouse looks fantastic, how many plants do you have in there. Afraid to count? Love that pond too!
HummingBird congrats on the seed, hope they work out. Debra your plants look great.
Hi Karen it is that time of year, lots and lots of heavy work to be done.
Clemen where did you get that gorgeous blue baby, I be wanting a piece of that in the spring.
Joyce I’ve been lurking on that plant trading forum, I’m thinking it would be easy to get addicted.
Dollie thanks for the link, I love looking at the things Gordon posts. He has some fantastic ideas.
Beck I thinking of you and hope you got some rest.

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Bonnie you are early this morning what ever happened to the “No DG before work” rule?
So happy for you and Debra, have a great time at your mini ru next week.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)
