Now, I know I remember a thread with all kinds of talk about what mix we all use and I can't find it either. Apparently it wasn't a separate thread just about soil, must have been chatter started on another thread cause the only thing I find when doing a search is this one from last year: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/746481/
and another thread I found from 2006: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/642371/
Aha, maybe it was this thread that Cedarnest started in August? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/887522/
Maybe we need a "sticky" at the top of the forum about soil mixes for AV/Gessies?
October blooms 4
Thanks, Lin . . . the one in August is one of them . . . I will check the August threads about that timeframe as well, 'cause it seems to me the topic carried over to another thread. Thanks for looking!
Maybe it was the discussion on this thread? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/902149/
That's the one! Oh, you're good! Thanks!
Are columnea easy to take care of? One of our own has some listed on the Marketplace, and I'm thinking of getting a few - I missed out last time! I like the sound of "Bonfire" . . . no, I DON'T have a fire fetish, no matter what DH says! LOL I think she has an episcia or two I don't have yet!!
columneas and nematanthus are two of the easiest plants in the world to grow. When I get a basket of them I put them outside on the front porch in the spring, summer and fall.
Go to Lyndon Lyons and Rob's Violet Barn to take a look at their wonderful blooms..................
Syrumani,
Don't do what I did and go look at the pretty pictures and then end up placing a large order! Just kidding. I can't wait to get mine. I hope they're easy to grow because they sure are beautiful!
