Susan, your blooms are fabulous but I hope, for your sake, that you have everything debudded and are treating for thrips by now....................

I just received an email from bigoldbuck. He has put in 90 hours this weekend and still putting in heavy hours. He wants anyone he has promised to trade with to know that in a couple of weeks........maybe even three, he will be on vacation and can honor his trades.

I must be chatty tonight but I need to tell you all something. I ordered streps on ebay from our own DGer Vmee. Every single strep I got from her had a double plant in each solo cup and they were well grown. She sells them at a very reasonable price and I wanted you to know that if you put in streptocarpus in the search line, you will eventually find her as Vmeenee. Her plants are so well grown and getting two crowns is almost unheard of.

Glad you bought nice plants on DG. A few weeks ago I bought three variegated Turk's Cap plants. They are SO pretty! I love Turk's Caps. I have a big area with reds and another with pink flowers.

I broke down and got a Kei-yoki plant on ebay a few weeks ago . . . this is the first bloom. I think it is a bit pale, 'cause I thought I wicked it when I repotted, but didn't, so it was sitting dry, etc. It looks better already.

I simply love ordering from Gary Out of Africa............he and LL are my two favorite vendors...........besides, of course, Thad Scaggs who is just nice enough to sell Dgers Kohleria rhizomes!

That is so pretty but I do better with the darker ones although my Pink Smoke stolons from Goldleaf are really taking off and growing well. Let me get a picture of them, Bonnie.

Maybe in the next picture you will be able to see the dark emerald green foliage starting to form.

I think the whole world must know Gary.........whenever I mention his name, someone (like Kivit) says, "I know him"................very likable man.

Hmm. Maybe I should meet Gary . . . or at least, get into his website in more detail . . .

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

He is just a really good vendor, Nichole at very reasonable prices compared to a lot of other vendors. He also has an awesome selection and choices of plants.

South, TX

Wonderful epescia's!!!! What is the website? I don't have room for any more epescia, they have gotten big and I don't trim them a lot, so pretty nice and big. I would like to see his site though.

Jasper, AR(Zone 7a)

http://www.garys-out-of-africa.com/catalog.htm
He has more than episcias, and ships nice plants!!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Sally, the day I got mine from LYndon Lyon, they were large plants and so I whopped the tops off immediately and almost have totally new plants while the bottom of the plant is filling out again.

It is amazing how quickly episcias root..................(not overnight but about 3 or 4 weeks and they are a solid new plant)

Thanks for the link. I think I have seen that site. He needs more photos!

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Pretty episcias ladies.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

He aboslutely hates a computer, Sally................we have even sent him pictures, but he doesn't want to be bothered to learn............some people are just like that........

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Has any one ever buy from Neil's streps on ebay???
Susan

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

No , because he is too expensive and his streps are just OK.........some are great but most are just another strep.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Susan, jannich and everyone else. I need some help on the thread of new leaves. I want to only choose 10 leaves to strip the mid vein out of and root . (which means I get at least 30 plants). Please help me decide which ones are the best because I will be need to either share, give away and/or sell some..........thanks so much
gail
