Here is Rosamond trying to get some color on this brrrrrr evening! All of my brugs are still out in the ground I have a micro-climate with the trees and the yard is fenced. Oh AuntB ~ First Day x Rosabella smells like bubble gum : )

Boy, sounds like lots of Hotties and Handsomes got new plants today! Isn't it fun? I know Keith has brought me boxes from the door and yells "It's Present Time."
Oh, dear ones! I have had a day. I was late getting out from OKC and got to Dallas just in time for rush hour and got lost! I mean really, honestly lost. So from 4:30 to 7:00, I was doing my best to find out where I was at. I know I should have packed a map, and poor Beck was being a sweetie and trying to direct me, except for the times I just had to tell her "I'm not sure where I am." I asked for directions three times and ended up in three different cities, then had to find Dallas again. How can you lose Dallas, for goodness sakes!! I don't ever remember feeling that utterly lost before. I use to travel quite a bit, but this was really a first for me.
Anybody hungry? Here's the pepperoni pasta and brisket I made for tomorrow's RU. All I have to do now is add the tomatoes to the salad and I'm done.

does ev1 know about the free shipping boxes u can get. yes u said free. just go to www.usps.com. u can either get tape free at ur post office or from his place too. when i said free, i ment free. no shipping and delivered right to r door. i know it can b a pain just to get a box to ship something in. hope this helps someone.

Phyllis, DSL has been available here for about a year, I did most of my internet stuff at work so I never saw a reason to fork out the extra cash. After joining DG I started looking into the prices because dialup was so slow. Now that I will be home for an unknown amount of time I decide to go for it. Hope your DH feels better soon.

Oh Clem, those SAT’s are just not fun, don’t know why they make the students take them so early in the am. I’m sure Drea will do great. Get back in bed; it is a dreary Saturday morning here.

Having such fun. Beck and I stayed up until after midnight yakking and then crashed. Now if we can just find our pavillion without getting lost. I probably will just follow Beck. LOL. Then, we are going out for steaks tonight! Beck said she was really hungry for one, so I'm always ready for that. Tomorrow morning, we will hang around for awhille and then head home.
They are predicting 80 degrees today so we will have beautiful weather for the RU.
Got to get busy finishing the salad and getting ready. Still nervous about getting these new plants, so I may be asking ya'll some questions about what I've got with trades.
Beck was having troubles with her computer last night, so hopefully we can get her back on-line today or she can just use mine!!

(I got lost in Plano, well not lost, we were given the opposite direct we should have gone)- it took about 3 hrs to get where we were going and back on the BIG road OUT. At one point we were driving around in circles (I wasn't driving or I would have stopped and asked for directions from a "local") I'm just not a big city gal, I guess, but it is fun to visit and see new places.. .
Donna, I really love my DSL, too. We had dial up for quite a few years before DSL came available thru Sprint/Embarq, whatever they call themselves now. I think you did wonderful on making the decision.. just one step to the new YOU, right? (((Donna))) such a sweetie!

Trucking will be a must. Have a rooted Pink Beauty and a plumie or 2 for ya, more brug cuttings and whatever else doesn't fit in the basement or is "left over"... Look out, girl.. I might get lazy bringing the rest in this weekend.. lol Oh, gosh and I'm trying to get the rest of my packages all packed up for mailing on Monday...

Dana, my pc almost went out the window on Wednesday night, the only thing that saved it was DSL being scheduled for Friday. Dial up was so slow that night I could not load anything. I love dressing up for Halloween, been a long time since I’ve been to a costume party have a great time.
Clem, whoops I knew it was Gaby, I must have been still sleeping when I wrote that. Drea is off to collage next fall.

That RU today was in Arlington! Wish I had realized that.. I might have been able to plan on that... only 360 miles away! ... for me.. that is close. would have been difficult with the 3 dogs but FUN! I could have brought some plumerias to trade.. I have more than I need. Maybe next year if I don't kill them all this winter. Just more work than I want. I ignored most of them this year and many died because of it. Will see how many are still alive when I start bringing them in for the winter... still need to ge the atrium read for the winter packing.. it sure will be full in there this year... so many plants.. so little space!
:) Donna, all in time.. you've been pushing yourself, I know ya have.. you were totally down physically, gave us quite a scare woman! And look at you, now.. having your own Halloween parties and holding that precious little Aiden.(which by the way, any new pics?) ...but wait for Mr. Jack.. it won't be long now. I just remember buying my first brugs, and there's no sense buying to see if you like them and want to fuss with em. I still buy sometimes, it's fun and sometimes a challenge to find what I want..and of course I find other things I can't exist without when I "shop" the on line brug sites, they usually are growing other tropicals....so you DGer's on ebay and Brians Botanicals, Plant Delights, Stokes, and other places..I still support ya.. just had to get more selective..
Dana, you soak up all that fun while you can, those little ones grow up so fast..I remember making mouse costumes, Peter Pan, mad scientist, rainbow bright, Captain Hook.... (gee)...it's quite a feat to get 3 kids and yourself all made up..did ya get pics? Mel and I thought maybe we'd dress up like witches this year, but we don't get any TorTr's anymore.. so we'll just be our 'scarey' selves and eat candy ;) dark choc... and reese's pb cups.. may as well buy what WE like ;) right?? I got some nice plants from Tropicman last weekend and they are doing good so far, going over to their house this saturday he has a big banana mama that needs fostering for the winter, so will see if she fits into the little civic and into the basement..
I have no idea what plummies are supposed to do so someone needs to clue me in, and also what the heck is an EE that I see mentioned all the time.. Sent out more seeds to people that wanted some so hope they all arrive safely...
Found a whole basket of prepackaged seeds that I had ordered from some lady on ebay and went the whole spring and summer without even looking at them.. sheesh.. Have the water fountain tub and the bubbler tubs goin in the basement now filled with cuttings , surrounded by plants and seed trays and lit up with lights, looks like my back yard almost just need the dirt down there and some annuals LOL.. .. wish I would get well for once and all, not much sleeping here with the coughing all the time.. oopsie, back to work..Debra
Bonnie, no help here go for that chocolate, I can’t have it near me I will eat it until it is gone. I got some good shots of Aidan yesterday and they are stuck on my camera. I’m not sure why but I can’t upload them to the pc. I tried for a few hours last night, now waiting for Lisa to get back from NH tomorrow. She is the family pc expert; it may have something to do with the DSL installation, cause it was working fine before. I can’t do much yet, just sitting around and playing on the pc. New plants will have to wait until spring, but I am feeling much better.

Deb, sinus drainage is terrible and I get that all the time on the downside of a cold. Can't sleep coz it makes you cough. I call my doctor and ask for codeine cough syrup. Makes you sleep like a baby!!
