Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great to hear.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Looking forward to that, Debi.

Some garden friends might be without lights. NY has a black out in some parts. Queens??? VICTOR where are you?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No problem here - thanks!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I had lost power late Tuesday into Wednesday but I can't find any info anywhere on what caused it. Hubby really needs to hook up that back up generator.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Anyone heard from Watercan2?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

He let his subscription lapse. He said he will probably renew in a couple of months.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks Victor - was missing him. Someone mentioned bonsai and I thought of him.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Did everyone go on here and take my poll???

Let's take a poll of everyone who has taken your poll about polls!

I'm so glad to see this thread back in one form or another. Whatever happened to our 'desultory' one?

Turkeys, water coolers, whatever ... it's fun to have a thread that chatters.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Where is everybody tonight?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm watching the game.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Me too, just usually watch with my laptop in my lap. Still rooting for the Rays?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I am injoying the cool weather down here in northeast Florida.

Sandy

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

It was nice here until around 5 when we had a short thunderstorm.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, still rooting for the Rays. They better wake up soon!

OK. Here's a question? To you, which season seems to be the shortest?

To me, it's fall. That's because the first part is still hot like summer, and the end is old like winter.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Down here it's been spring for me but not this year (we actually had one) It seems it gets warm for a little bit then jumps right into the 90's

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Winter. Not.
Fall, because it is my favorite, and it goes too quick.

Spring - so happy to see it come and the birds chirp. Next you know its summer.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

They all seem to go real fast these days.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Yeah, def. The older I get the faster they all go!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Time goes much faster as I get older. Multiply that when you have kids!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Tell me about it.... my son is going to be 6 in 2 wks. Ugh that reminds me I need to get invitations sent out.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And my older one will be 10 in December. That is really a shock to think about.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Wait til they turn 22.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I can't even think that far in advance.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

My youngest is 21 today and I have mixed feelings about it. Part of me wants to cey and the other part wants to party with him! LOL
Could be because I have a G.daughter who will be 10 in Jan., one who is 4, one will be 1 in Dec. and another one will be born in Jan. 2009. I'm never at a loss for a baby to snuggle with!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Happy Birthday!
