Be Thankful

(Linda) Winfield, KS(Zone 6a)

I am so thankful for all my dear friends at Dave's Garden. You have made it a little more easy going through the cancer treatment. I love you all.

THANKS

Canton, GA(Zone 7b)

LOL kwanjin. Too funny!

I am very thankful that I was given the opportunity to a better way of living than some I saw today in the less-pretty parts of ATL.

Seminole, OK(Zone 7a)

I'm thankful I only bruised my wrist instead of worse at work Monday. I got tangled up in a moving scissor lift and yes I am accident prone. I'm also thankful my husband seems to be getting better from having the flu!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Hope you'll feel better soon Amber. Take good care.

I'm thankful today, gas price is still dropping. It's $2.55/gal. I can't remember when was the last time it was this low.

Gastonia, NC(Zone 7b)

I am thankful on your behalf, Amber, and even more thankful I do not have encounters with scissor lifts!

And I am very thankful also for my new little car passing its smog test and for the fact I actually do still know how to parallel park when necessary!

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

I am thankful that I work today and then have 8 days off!! LOL Celebrate!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I'm thankful the wind is calm outside today! It has been bad last few days with the cold front coming in.

ves, sounds like time to celebrate for a mini vacation. How is your sister doing?

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

She is in good spirits and wants to have us over for Thanksgiving! It will be done even if I have to haul everything over myself! LOL No surgery yet. I forgot to ask her the date. Too much talking to do!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

It's good to hear she's in good spirits....you too. Have a great week.

I'm thankful the plants look okay this morning after our light freeze, but most of all I'm thankful I'm sitting here in a warm house with a roof over my head, groceries in my cabinet and a DH that has a good job. We are so blessed. :)

Vicki, I'm so glad to hear your sister is in such high spirits and is doing good. That's great about Thanksgiving. I know you'll make it happen, too. You're a good sister!

Deanna, your Mom's thread is still on my watched list, and even though I don't post I continue to say a prayer for her. I'm glad her treatment is going well. :)

2pugdogs, I've seen you around from time to time but didn't know about your cancer. I've added you to my prayer list.

To everyone else ... am ~ing to you today.
Hugs&blessings to everyone

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Thanks IO1 for such thoughtful post. I'm thankful for the thoughtful, loving, kind DGers and this thread to gather, and express our gratitudes. Thank Tir_Na_Nog for the thread.

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

I'm thankful this thread is so uplifting. Something that is much needed in everyday life.

Thanks Lily_lov and l01.

(Zone 7a)

I'm thankful my DD found her purse last night. She left it on the back of the company truck and it fell off halfway home. The only thing she lost was her MP3 player.

I'm thankful for my loving DH. I said this one before but it bears repeating. Thank you, Darrell, for being supportive in whatever I do.

Merrimac, WI(Zone 4b)

I'm sorry about her MP3 player! I did that once many years ago and half the contents of my purse blew all over the highway. Someone did stop to help me pick it up.

(Zone 7a)

At least you had someone to help. She had to drive back and find it in the dark. She called me in a panic...like I could do something from 400 miles away! LOL

Seminole, OK(Zone 7a)

I'm thankful too that Kwanjin's daughter found her purse. How stressful it would have been having to replace everything and what about all the things that couldn't have been. Plus the worry of someone finding it and using credit, debit, or checks before they could be cancelled.

I'm thankful that its a beautiful day and I'm alive.

Kylaluaz it is fun having a new car isn't it? Lily-love gas prices dropped to $2.11 her on last Monday. My coworkers and I were all talking about buying gas cans and filling them up. LOLOL

(Zone 7a)

That's not the half of it. Her company AND personal credit cards were in it. Plus, her birth certificate. That is now in an envelope on it's way to someone elses house for safe keeping.

I'm thankful for yesterday, I'm thankful for today, I'm thankful for tomorrow. So many people don't have a tommorow.

Canton, GA(Zone 7b)

I am thankful that when I had a blow out at 630AM on Atlanta's busiest highway, I didn't wreck. I'm also thankful for my daddy leaving work and coming to sit with me for 3 hours while I waited on a tow. And I am thankful I had my uncle at the dealership looking out for me when they were fixing my car.

(I figured since they were all related, I could post more than one!! :-P )

Thank you for continuing to pray for my mom, too, IO1. It is deeply appreciated.

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

So glad you are okay Deannaj!

Thankful I have the next 8 days off and don't have to deal with the public or the craziness at work.

Canton, GA(Zone 7b)

Thanks! Sounds like a good thing to be thankful for Ves!

Morning ... :)
I'm going to vote early today and am thankful I live in a country where I can vote.

Deanna, whew ... that was sure lucky you had family. Prayers to your Mom. :)

Vicki ... have fun with your days off. You need some down time. Prayers are still going out to your sister. Any word yet on her surgery?

kwanjin, it's a good thing your DD put her birth certificate some place safe. I'm glad she was able to find her purse with all her ID. It's so sad when people don't have tomorrow's isn't it?

To everyone else, I'm still learning ... so here's a ~ for you and a God bless.

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

l01 if I understood DBIL right the surgery will be wednesday.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I'm thankful of good friends who love you unconditionally, it's like a gift from heaven. Thankful too for the sun shine today.

Prayers for pain relief for the hurt, healing for the ills, mendings of heartaches. Peace on Earth.

(Zone 7a)

Thanks, Lily.

I'm thankful there will be rain tomorrow. The air around here is brown. Air should not be brown.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

(Linda) Winfield, KS(Zone 6a)

Thanks Hope need all the prayers I can get. I am thankful for all my dear friends here at DG. I am so thankful every morning to when I wake up and I am alive. I am really thankful. You are all a great group of people.

LOVE YA****LOVE YA

(Zone 7a)

You know...I'm grateful for all of you at Dave's, too. Friendships are more important than anything else. Thank you, everyone. I've learned something from all of you.

I said yesterday I was thankful for the rain coming today. It looks like we might not get it. Now I'm thankful we WON'T get rain because I have plants to get in the ground. ☺

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

I'm thankful I got outside earlier today before those darn beetle thaw out and start terrorizing us again!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I'm thankful for all the friends I've met/not yet met at DG. Ves, what kind of beetles?

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

Those stupid ones that look like lady bugs. They get in your hair and under your clothes. Even the dog was glad to come in the house yesterday!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Hummm, Lily's beetles? Have you got some pix? I bet the weather is rather cold there where you're. Here, I barely notice any kind of bugs this time of year.

Houston, United States(Zone 9b)

I am so thankful today for warm weather and good health to go out and enjoy it in!

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

Don't need pictures they look exactly like Lady Bugs. Asian Beetles I think they are. When it warms up they look for a place to hibernate so they swarm around building and stuff. They also stink if you kill them.

I will be thankfull when it is cold enough they are gone until next fall!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Huh, do those Asian Beetles bite? I had what I thought was a lady bug biting me the other day on the back of the wrist. It left a little tiny bump that doesn't itch or anything.

I am thankful today for the donuts that the boss's assistant brought in!

Hillsborough, NC(Zone 7b)

I am grateful that my husband still calls me Honey Bunny even tho sometimes I am a witch!

And, I am grateful that my grandson got a 'star' in preschool yesterday --instead of his usual trip to the 'principal' because he was 'just being bold' and 'has to learn to keep (his) hands to himself!"

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

The Aisan beetles bite! Nasty little things.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

That must have been what I thought was a lady bug, I didn't think a lady bug would do that. I told DH that I had just got bit by a lady bug, but lady bugs don't bite, he said it was a lady bug w/ rabies! Right!!

(Zone 7a)

Lady beetles do, indeed, bite. Not as bad as the asian beetle but it still hurts a little. I have a friend who they don't like. I can handle them all day and when she picks one up, she gets nipped. Poor girl. ☺

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Huh, I didn't know that. It was a little sting, felt like a very small ant biting me.

I don't mean to sound selfish today ... but I'm thankful that all my plants look okay after our first visit with Jack Frost. I was REALLY worried! It's way too early this year, and I've pushed my zone just a *tiny bit? LOL

Vicki ... I've never seen any of those beetles or even heard of them before. Now ladybugs? Yeah ... but they're not anything that's a problem in our area. Yuck! Now mosquitoes, black flies and gnats are a completely different story. LOL

Lilly, I've not been noticing any bugs out and about over in GA right now either. What a relief! I've about had it for 1 year. smile

Tir ... this is a great thread. :) Glad you started it.

kwanjin, did you get your plants in the ground today or did you get the rain you wanted yesterday? grin

missingrosie ... loved your post!! Now isn't that just the truth of it. My DH is a "darling" for sure. Why just this morning I growled at him when I woke up. I'm not a morning person ... so I had to apologize for being snappy. He never holds a grudge ... that guy of mine.

2pugdogs, I'm sending prayers your way today. I've made a lot of friends here at DG, too. It's a wonderful gardening site but a place full of friendships too. :)

Okay, I'm outta here ...
Y'all have a blessed rest of the day ...
