Pixie your cat looks like mine

Thomaston, CT

We had a killing frost 2 nights ago---showers yesterday---unbelievably cold & windy today--I HATE this weather so early---OK for January, but NOT for Oct. Push Molly & the caladiums over, Louise---I'm sneaking down to FT. Myers! Our FL friends called Sun.---asked when we were coming down---if this weather continues---early! And I hate FL--except for Jan. & Feb.

Your going to SNEAK? HA - dont forget I am under the car hanging on. Its getting a little uncomfortable down here.

Essex Junction, VT(Zone 4a)

I have flurries too. Luckily it is not sticking. And Fri it is supposed to be back above 50. Whew

Willie: "I'd say something about going wardrobe shopping, but I don't want to get into trouble." HA HA HA

South Hamilton, MA

cold & drizzle

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Very windy here, getting gust up to 30 MPH!
It forced me to put on a pot of Pasta E Fagiloi, it's simmering now.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I exausted myself for today, but got about 1/3 of the bulbs planted just as it snowshowered.
I'm too old to plant bulbs. Good thing I'm swearing off, too exhausting to dig deep in clay and place the bulb in the bottom of a hole that goes below my toes.

Essex Junction, VT(Zone 4a)

Pasta E Fagiloi, mmmmm. I want some! Too bad Maine is so far away :(

Willie - I started thinking of that shopping amount in gardening terms and started drooling all over my keyboard. I hope I didn't break anything. [just think of the awesome landscaping I'd have...more rocks, all kinds of bushes, endless flowers... the drool started back up again!]

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

drooling

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I could use some of that too Pixie!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

NIce pics! Too cold for me to go anywhere today.

I made a gallon of the Fagiloi, seriously. I might... might I say, have 2 cups left. I guess it was a good day for it or it really has been a loooooooong time since I made it. lol

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yum.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Marilyn - are you serious that you will be in Fort Myers??? If so, when? I'll hold off on weeding my neglected gardens until you get there! LOL.......Seriously, let me know if you are really coming down. I should be back online by Monday or Tuesday.

We didn't get any snow either, but it sure is COLD and RAW! I'm suddenly looking forward to getting out of dodge for a bit. The gardens are looking pretty empty and forlorn from the freezing temps. Since we will be on the road for a few days, I'll post the weather when we land!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Have a safe trip Louise!!

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Don't mind the backflips trying to get on a plane - they keep you safe. Our little airport had two instances that were caught due to all that backflipping. One guy was trying to get on a plane with a pipe bomb http://www.newsday.com/services/newspaper/printedition/wednesday/longisland/ny-lipipe225893349oct22,0,7948930.story . The other was a woman trying to bring a loaded gun in http://www.newsday.com/ny-lisoldier1020,0,5901120.story . They both could have been benign, but you never know..

Frost warning for tonight/tomorrow and then rain... I hope the rain holds until the afternoon on Saturday. This will give me time to bag some more leaves. Otherwise, weather in the 40-50's.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)
