Presently 35. Impatiens still has color so no freezing as yet. I am surprised it is holding on, but the border of the bed is held by small rocks which may be holding some heat.

I'm not ready either. Brent Beckys bulbs will be here just in time.
Hope its not a forcast for the season.
We had a decent winter last year.
Only one blizzerd that I can remember.
Gorgeous day! 63 and sunny now. Cool in the shade, warm in the sun. No breeze at all. Finished my allium bulbs and transplanted a JM. Tried to make some headway on my pond leak too.
We had our first frost last night down to 32. All my impatiens in the front of the house are gone, boo hoo.
The weather graphic on my computer screen says 56. Now what elf came up with that one, as it is 4:30 & sun is going down. 60 tomorrow? I hope so!
Looks nice!
thanks... going to take a few days to break it in... have to do small burns and let it cool off in between to set the paint before really cranking it up
How many logs fit in?
depends on the size of the logs.... but it's small compared to the opening before... but the box is 2 cubic feet
http://www.quadrafire.com/Products/Wood_Burning/Wood_Model.asp?f=3100Iact
that's the link for the stove
I forgot to add... the reason we had to get the smaller stove is because we would have to remove our mantel because of the clearance needed..... otherwise I would have gone for the bigger size
but since we paid money to put the surround in... it would be silly to remove it
Killing frost here last night. It was in the mid-20s this morning at breakfast time. No walk today, I'm afraid.
Snain (LOL) coming tomorrow, so it's ABSOLUTELY time for us to fly south. Geeez! We're in that state of discombobulation that happens right before the official pack-up. We can't put a lot of stuff in the car or Yakima yet because it will freeze. So, everything is staged and in my way.
Ok...I'll stop the whining now.......I really hate whining! LOL
Allison, looks good, we've had our pellet stove running all day. Not ready to turn the heat on yet.
I've had my pellet stove going for a while. Don't need my regular heat with it. It just about heats the entire house.
nice... I can't wait to crank this baby up
Good morning every one
Cold and rainy high of 50*
Nice wood fireplace Onewish

It's official, coming home from breakfast with friends.
Top of the hill,I could see above the trees for miles, low dark clouds moving very fast with sheets of snow pouring out of them.
Windshield test was snow pellets,Melted by the time they hit the ground.
It's freezing and windy besids42*
Yuck! Getting some sprinkles here. 54.
What I would call a raw day.
I'm inside waiting for UPS to bring Brent an B bulbs at 4:00 delivery.
Supposed to be sunny tomorrow and in the fifties, I'll plant then.
That finishes the digging for 2008.
Just sit back and wait til May 2009
Cold, Windy, Misty, Sprinkley 41ºF
..... and guess who had to go out and trim the overgrown mulberry branches which were striking the house and become ensnared in the electrical wires!
I was hoping to be able to wait until the leaves dropped before I hacked at it. Rather not lose power, or worse, though!
Now, we're all safe.
Beautiful morning photo, pixie!
Dangerous driving, Jo Ann!
Louise ~ I know what you mean about everything being in the way. Whine all you want. We're all family here.

Good job, willie
Yes - great photo, Celeste! Sorry I forgot to mention that before.
Wow, it's really cold and raining pretty hard here now. 45 degrees and the raindrops are pounding on the skylights above me. Brrrrrrrr. I'm trying hard to keep the heat turned down as low as bearable, but Molly's thyroid problem has screwed up her thermostat, and we have to watch that she doesn't get too cold. Right now she has a winter sweater AND a little jacket on over it. I've always scoffed at dogs in clothing, but now I see that she is very uncomfortable without it. She is improving greatly and her liver has turned around, but this thyroid thing has a way to go. This trip she will need her own suitcase......LOL!
Best wishes for Molly, Louise.
Thank you, Victor! I appreciate that. The vet told us that she is one of the strongest older dogs he has seen. He expects to see her in May. Let's hope the new vet in Fla. is as helpful. I'm somewhat leary of a vet whose website says she requires a deposit for future treatment at the first visit. Gulp. That offends me, but I'm trying to put a lid on my attitude and keep an open mind....but not an open pocketbook! LOL
Picturing Molly and her suitcase on her big trip south. lol
Yikes, about the vet's policy.
Currently 63 and very windy.
I have Molly pictured with wind goggles, scarf and aviator's cap with her head out the window.
That stinks that the vet is more worried about getting paid than treating ailing animals.
But, if they are the best facility, it is worth it.
I can't wait to see tomorrow's sunrise, Pixie! I like the shape of that tree.
Yes, that is some policy. Didn't know the mafia muscled into the vet business too!
If those were here, I'd say we were in for some snow!
There will be some snow tonight in some of the valleys around here, tonight, I bet.
I had to take my cat to an emergancy Vet and had to hand over my creditcard for $350.00.pre pay.
Needless tosay there was no refund and they tacked on another 200.00
This is a practice in this area.
Many people think vets just LOVE animals and will treat for free because the vet has a big heart.
I got to know my vet and the stories she told were appauling.
As for being treated as though your going to run out on your obligation I also agree with you Louise, almost everywhere I go now days I am treated as though I'm going to cheat the merchant, not to mention the back flipps one must perform in order to get on a plane.
and PS We are supposed to get an inch of snow tonight in "some areas" most probably south of here where the elevation is higher.
