Rain is forecast for tomorrow here as well. We do need a bit of it. Just not a whole lot!
Todays Weather in Your Garden - 31
Welcome, scicciarella.
Current 66 going to maybe 80 today. Rain forecast for tomorrow as well.
Gorgeous day! 66 and clear. Just back from a nice hike. Colors are getting real nice. Probably about a week or so away from peak.
2 more nice days predicted then a slight cool down for Friday.
Temp. was in the lower 60s so able to finish cutting back beardless iris foliage in comfort--another job done.
I saw a dead tree with at least 10 vultures perched. Couldn't stop to take a pic, but it was neat.
Foreclosures!!
Raining here.
Is that one of your cats Victor?
No, Jo Anne. It's a stray. My cats are indoors only. Very overcast and 57. Yucky day on tap.

Probably not, but a rescue group maybe?
No, three is enough. He is pretty fat so he might be someone's.
Wow JoAnn, that painting looks so realistic!
We have a neighbor cat that wanders a lot too.
Sorry, couldn't resist. The painting is great too!
Did you notice our little gray cat Angel?
She's behind the lily in the photo.
Oh Jo Ann! You have a great talent. I've always loved seeing the paintings you have created. They are so beautiful and have a serene quality.
It's drizzling in my neck of the woods today, so the sky is very overcast. But it's still comfortably warm for this time of year.

The best news is most of the RiverBirch leaves are down,no more tracking into the house.
No JoAnn, I missed the gray kitty til you mentioned it.
We have over an inch of rain in the gauge this morning.
Wow! That's a lot of rain. I wonder if we will be getting that much. Probably not, as these storms lose a lot between NY and NH!
Cool & drizzle here. DH says they are not showers--feel like showers to me.
Calling for rain here tonight, you can feel it in the air. 69 right now high of 75
Showery, but warm. It was lovely weather in Maine for us earlier this week--here's a photo taken from Ocean Ave.----just before Bush's compound--looking back toward K-port. My stepson lives in the poor area, but I like to sit in this place & dream. Saw a flock of white winged scoters, and a large grey seal, but off Parson's Beach which is a lot wilder than this peaceful cove.
Very pretty Robin.
Ditto Robin.
Sun came out and it's 56, nice afternoon.
It was so humid here I had to turn the a/c back on.
humid in the house here too Jen... but it's 57 out now... and dropping quick
boy I was right... it's 46 now going up to 60
Dropped from 50 to 49. Is that a bad omen?

I have a ton of digging to start .... and this looks like the week.
We had a nice amount of rain to dampen but not saturate things, so digging this week will be much more body friendly than last week was.
Yes, I do it all by hand, and while there is a bit to turn, it really isn't that bad. Hopefully, it will help to keep me young.
Besides, the machine is too noisy and smelly.
I agree with you about the smelly machines, but they sure to help when it comes to the larger stuff! My back has been giving me fits this week, so I'm not able to do too much in the way of heavy gardening. Hopefully, it will work itself out in time for the weekend. I have a very special area that I want to prepare before the ground gets too cold.
It's another superb day here in southern NH. Sure it, just 52 degrees outside, but the sun is so bright that it feels a whole lot warmer!
As of this moment ...
Clear and a beautiful 55°
Wind: NW at 10 MPH

Dewpoint: 33°
