this rainbow will make some of you nuts with all the colors mixed up.... the ones towards the front were cuttings I did last year and didn't mark which ones they were... hit and miss planting.. that's my style

Wonderful shots Shelly, Jan and Allison! Looks like you're getting close, Anita. Shelly, which JM is that? It's gorgeous. Jan, I like Rainbow Niagara. Love the pink dahlia, Allison.

Onewish and Grampapa, I'm sooooo jealous of everything still blooming in your yards! It's wonderful!

Victor, the Jm is 'waterfall'. It's only this time of year that I'm really able to see how it earned it's name. The rest of the year it just looks a lot like JM 'Viridis' to me

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I didn't want to say which one I thought it was.... I either mixed up the tags or they sent me the wrong ones... not sure which is which

Well, since it was a wonderful night with a full moon I thought I'd try messing with some night photos again and try to learn how to take them! none of the ones of plants turned out, but one of the yard did ok.

Thanks. and your right! it was very peaceful. I could've easily have packed up a flashlight and book and stayed out there for hours!

Nice night shots. especially the upstream pic.

Shelly you work fast!! even with the bad hip!

I found out what the blue flower that's blooming is....
Lewis flax
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/160266/

Blooms spring and early summer, with all this warm weather it's really confusing things.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Thanks folks. I think theat the upstream shot is my favorite as well. The hip is immensely better, thanks! When I went into the doctor, it only took them a minute or two to set things right and then a cortisone shot. I had a bit of a limp through Sat. and then much better. If it were a complete dislocation that would be an entirely different story.

I love the lewis flax Jen! It has a close relative that seems to like the roadsides around here. It makes the commute to work much prettier when it's blooming!

love that crape Victor

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Allison. So do I!

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Which crape is that one Victor? Although, I think that most all of them have nice fall colors.

I really like the Sumac picture.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I wish I knew, Shelly! It was a mistake - one that I am very grateful for! It was supposed to be one that got only 18 inches tall. It is now about 15 feet tall! Yes, most do get good color, but some, like this one, are just fantastic. It's probably my single best plant for fall color. Even that photo does not do it justice. It looks like it's on fire. My Hopi gets no color at all. Sarah's Favorite gets good color - but much more orange. That is starting now and I will have photos of it in the next few days.
