Karen, NOAA just went off again and said the thunderstorm was just south of you and has a tornado in it. BOLO Nothing here. I think we are too far south and east.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Jeanne r u talking about the storm that will hit Mexico???

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Weesee my mom had the tree so tall and beautiful blooms, remember I come from the tropics so she had a huge tropical tree! and the smell, I remember last year going to bath and body works and they had the ylang lotion, boy, I went crazy for it, nice childhood memories for me

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

nope. We are having severe thunderstorms as a cool front approaches. Seems that Karen is getting it worse than we are. I hear the thunder but no rain or wind yet. This storm has already produced a tornado that hit two communities in our area. Damaged two homes.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

those tornanoes can get pretty scary, I remember being in Dallas as a teen in boarding schoold and hearing the sirens because tornatoes warning were going

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

TY weesie

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

I grew up in the Texas Panhandle with tornados every season. Then lived in Oklahoma for four years. Tornados are very scary indeed. But I would take them over a hurricane any day. We took a direct hit from Charlie in Florida, in 2004 and then proceeded to have three more in four weeks. I couldn't take it anymore. I thought I was going to die in Charlie. He was a Category 4 when he hit us.The wind sounded like a living monster outside and I thought we were going to drown in 18 ft of surge. He turned at the last minute one degree and the eye wall missed us by five miles. We got the wind and rain but not the surge. Hurricanes sit on you for 12 to 24 hrs from beginning to end with embedded tornados. Tornados in thunderstorms are quick. That's why I'm back in Texas. I lived in Florida for 28 years and loved it, but I didn't want to end up like so many seniors I saw who lost everything and too old to start over. I don't ever want to feel death so close to my door again. Not at least until I'm 80, in 24 years.

Sorry to ramble on. It's just good to be home again.

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

oh tornado alley can produce some killers that's for sure. I'm not minimizing their effect. They can totally destroy people's lives just like hurricanes. It's bad for whoever happens to be caugth in both. You all are brave to be living in tornado alley.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

oh you are in the right place for ramblin honey. We ramble on allllll the time! Tornadoes scare me a little..lived in places with earthquakes..typhoons..tornadoes..and active volcanoes.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Wouldnt live anywhere with tornadoes without a basement.

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

been through an earthquake, tornados and hurricanes but never a volcano erupting. That would be frightening and I imagine an awesome wonder to behold. Ramble... ramble...ramble...

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

you got that right Louise.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

You can rumble all u want, hotties r her to listen anyhow

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Where were u earthquake wise

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

california...lived there for a good chunck of my life..southern cal..had a couple in washington too. but they were small. I was in southern cal for the big bear earthquake 8.0 thought it was the end! Lived almost right on top of the epicenter

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Clemmie, baby!!! I haven't said hi to you yet!!! Missed you today, guess we have all been a little busy. How is our little mascot Copo? Jeanne, tornado just came through here but no damage to my house. Winds were 60+ miles.....just horrible!

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Well earthquake wise i lived it all, 7.9 and lost a whole town! 10K PEOPLE dead, yikes, terrible, do not want to think of it, 1979!

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Denver Colorado 1969. My bed walked across the bedroom in the middle of the night. Sounded like a huge truck rumbling down the highway getting closer and closer. It was only a .5

oops. NOAA just told us we were next. Winds are picking up and so is the lightning and rain. I may be getting off here soon.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Hi darling karen, TG you u r ok, hate scary things, specially nature one, you have no control over them

Palestine, TX(Zone 8b)

Karen, thank God you are alright. It's a busy night for them for sure. Poor things, seems like all of us have been through some very scary moments.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

good luck jeanne! Karen so glad you are safe. What city Clemen? One of my best friends was in a bad one in mexico city. lots of people died.

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Just lost a long post.

First of all, LOL,LOL, LOL. Hopefully that does not mess up anybody's scrolling. Clem is our best on doing that, but if mine does, that means I really, truly am a Hottie!

Okay, quick and short:

1. Has anybody heard from Beck? Her mom's surgery was supposed to be early this morning.
2. Wolfie, I had never even seen a Lochrama, thanks for introducing me to another plant I want, but not now. Springtime I may be begging :).
3. Hardy blue hibiscus. Okay, I have three of you wanting this, but I cannot find it. I will use Karen's info she put in today, (Thanks, sweetheart), but all I was finding was Rose of Sharon, (mallow).
3. James, you are getting ready to be in trouble. We want pictures! We have asked and asked, All you needed was a bunch of brug aunts to hassle with ya.
4. Mike, I said about two theads ago I wanted one of your brugs. No big deal. I am so glad you started talking instead of lurking!! I will give you my second born (or pay postage if I can have that brug). Word to the wise, my firstborn is 30, so there is no second born.

Mike the rest of this is not directed at you. I just try my best to be true, online, so here's true story...

She is my firstborn. I was told I would never have a child, and 6 years later, I'm preggo. It was hard but I still had her. No more though, even if I wanted them. End of story, I just didn't want to be lying to ya'll.

Now, this post is longer than the one I originally lost. If I lose this one, I will just come in and say "Love you, Hotties and Handsome."
