Clemen
That's 'Day Dreams!' She's one of my PERDIES! lol! Maybe we can do a little trading! I do like that Orange Passie! If interested - you can shoot me an email! I love trading! :)
Mike
She's About To............ #23
Lav, I took pictures during the water garden tour this summer where the couple had used mirrors outside to reflect the plants it was really nice. I will try to post a pic.
I am going to the thrift stores cause I am going to mount mirrors in the back of the garden room to reflect light back, sides it will make it look bigger. If it looks bigger suppose I can get more plants in? LOL
I cooked dinner tonight...rare occasion, dh went fishing and we had bass, cole slaw, fresh tomatoes, and actually turned out good. I am such a bad cook that I just hate cooking. I can bake tho, wanna pie, cake, homemade bread...I can fix ya up.

Louise, HOW ingenious! That would look so cool! The "palm" and the mirrors used like that.. Mike, Is that Day Dreams? I KNOW what you mean..... (watch this) YES! Clemen TY, may as well put a piece of it in with the rest.. And you need to d-mail me some of your want's young lady, wouldn't want you to get a cutting of something you don't want.. ;) I need to stop surfing around here on DG, I just end up adding to my want list, or begging and trading before it even gets on the list! Joyce? Rabbit foot fern? pic?
See Mike, it's just plain ridiculous, I tell ya. Like all those new brug cuttings I just got weren't enough, I struck up a trade with you for one more, I just couldn't resist... on the intention of getting rid of more than I'm getting, of course... throwing in a couple passie cuttings and NOW I'm telling Clemen to throw in one more! HELP!
Thank you Louise and Mike that sound cool too! Kim that is the passi i talked to you about a couple of days ago!
Clemen: that passi is gorgeous and I love the colour! Bonnie: Why can't a bee do the crossing for you?
Karen: welcome back , and I bet the memory of seeing your Momma walk in your house was one you will never forget. God Bless you and yours.
Donna: hope you are feeling better now that the brugs are in.
Louise: I share your fear of ferns, although I have two that are ancient. I tend to forget about them.
Mike: that is an awsome colour!
AuntB I know what you mean about collecting more and more plants, come back from a trip and have more plants than I started with.....and who caused that to happen....lets see initials start with Lave and Aunt.....LOL
Mmmm, Joyce it all sounds yummy, all my banana nut bread is gone.. I need to look in thrift stores for some mirrors..
:) just sharing, Joyce.. I tried to go easy on ya, that Cassie Curls is a little tiny grower..
Donna so happy for you. Our Mothers are the same age. Mine had a stroke alot of years ago, but walks about a mile a day. It has affected her speech but if you give her time she can get it out. I had this thought that people who studder can sing just fine, so I ask my Mom to try to sing...she just laughed at me, but now when she gets stuck trying to say something I just say sing it Mom and she laughs and can usually get it out then. Now with everything getting so expensive her money just doesn't last all month.
Mike that daydreams is simply devine! My sweet loving Bonniekins gave me one at round up. Looking forward to the blooms. Bonnie!!! Martinis Rock!
AuntB, glad you told me that about Cassie Curls or I would of thought I did something to her! I would of been over feeding her trying to get her to grow up big and strong.

AuntB, here is a pic of the rabbit foot fern. It shows the fern and the roots.
I am guessing I can't post someone elses pics.
A friend of mine says the roots look like spider legs....LOL....probably do
That bud I posted up there is on a plant only about 2 ft tall, I think 3ft is max on that lil darlin.. the bloom will be a shade of orange, and I'm being impatient to see it..
Joyce I so understand. Will's grndma is my hero. Four bouts with cancer...84 years old and she is so sweet. Her SS is only 800 a month and she lives on that!! Yet if you talk to her she is the most upbeat lady on the planet. She always ends a conversation with ... Nana loves you dearly! Anytime I feel down I think of everything she has been through. Lost a husband...two kids...a breast from cancer...2/3 of her stomach...now 1/4 of her intestines..and she smiles and is happy to be alive!
my mom lived on 634.00 for 5 years before she died of cancer.. she never complained.
I miss my momma... I am glad for everyone who gets to keep making memories with theirs.
Deb I lost my mother in 1986..she dropped dead of a heart attack when babysitting my 9 year old nephew. He thought she was asleep. I miss her every day. But I remember the gifts she gave us. Love each other coz family will always be there for you. sense of adventure..and a great sense of humor. My Mom loved to laugh...oh yeah and every swear word in Polish! lol
lol I can hear her now... thanks.. made me smile
I saw her sister...my 90 year old aunt this year. She is still goin..and no meds of any kind! I spent every summer with her in Tampa FL when I was a teen. Great lady! It was actually kind of sad to see her finally slowing down. she was an Lpn until she was 85. took care of people much younger than her!
wow! 98 posts in 8 hours! you hotties have been busy! lol! took me so long to read thru it all I forgot what all I read!
Heehee Anjl...surrender to the thread..that is what I do!! You are gettin a prezzy!!! LOL
still no hints huh? ... I did surrender to the thread... surrendered almost an hour so I could read it all! I think CRS is contagious and I cought it reading the thread! teehee! I'm NOT old.... well, thats moms motto so if she's not old then neither am I ^_^
Oh, my, 300 posts ahead of me, more brugs, more passies and Crantinis? I don't know if I will ever catch up. And I know I will not catch up on the Crantinis? Now a Bloody Mary or AuntB do you have any of that wine left? That would work for me.
Worked today, catered an early football game and fell asleep at 6. Now I can't sleep and my next shift is at 4 a.m. Yikes!
I'm still leaving my brugs out and waiting for blooms. Lost one out of four buds, have no idea where it went, not on the ground around it anyway. Usually we do not have to worry about a "hard" freeze around here until January. But I will take cuttings in before then, I promise. Still trying to keep everything going for the RU. It's like we started trading in August and now things are starting to look peeeaaked and I'm like I want to trade this? Since I've never done this before, I really don't want to look like a fool, But????
Louise, 50 is NOT over-the-hill. LOL. It took me three threads to get back to ya on that. When you first said you were going to be "OTH" I sat back and said "What?" I couldn't believe you were turning 90!!! 50 is just a bump and such a good age to be. Old enough to know better and old enough to say, I'm going to do it anyway.
On passies, Lady Margaret is going nuts here and blooming good. Incense just disappeared. (It was the one that kept going off the trellis and climbing the impatiens.) If it had a good root system, will it possibly come back next year or am I going to have to replace it?
Donna, so glad you are home and have the daughters there with you. Karen, what a lovely story about your mother, how wonderful! Deb and iris, so glad you showed up and joined us. You really fit right in here. Mike, about time you show back up (or just trying to get a word in edgewise?)
Okay, all, now I really have to try to get back to sleep. This weekend has too much scheduled in it. Lov ya, Peg
Oh I always get lost on the fast posting days. The slow days like yesterday are ok. No HINTS young lady!!! My hubby says I am only as old as who I feel. Sorry if that offends, but it IS funny! COUGAR!
Joyce, that fern is so pretty, yet so weird with the "feet" spidery parts... hmmmm... I remember my mom singing, yodeling and whistling... wonder if she still does that?...I'm fortunate I can ask her and I'm grateful she is healthy and sometimes I think she gets around and does better than me.. I need to make sure she knows how much I love and admire her... I think she knows, but it never hurts to tell someone that over and over.
Louise, are you just like your Mom? Aside from the swearing in Polish... the adventure, humor and family bond reminds me of you.. (and maybe you were just being polite, meeting the DG midwest people for the first time and all) :) Debra, I'm sorry you don't have your mom with you on earth, but I know you feel her with you in spirit and I hope that offers comfort.. I just know she loves you so much.
Hottie Buds, I'm still filthy from the haul, meant to get off here an hour and a half ago... showering, stretching out on the loveseat with my tini. if I have the ingredients, and then to bed.. should sleep like a log tonight... have a great evening.. it's been a fine day. I think our hottie group is a superb bunch of fun, caring people and I'm just pleased as punch to be part of it.. Nitey nite.
Peg...just amazed at the time that has passed. Cannot believe Five Oh is upon me. So hard to believe. Guess if I were more mature it would be nuthin. But I am still a kid at heart.
Nitey night Bonnie. You are a lovely person and I love you! (not just sloppy I love you drunk talkin here). Have a restful sleep!
Oh, Louise, I packed a bunch of living in my first 50 and this next 50 has so far been even better. My birthdays do not bother me. My daughter's birthdays really drag me down. How could my daughter be that old!! (She turns 30 in December!) Now that ain't right! Maturity is sometimes just a word for people who cannot have fun, "I'm more mature than that!" Yea, I'll take an immature, totally happy moment anytime.
Good nite, all, seriously. I have to try to zzzzz! Lov, Peg
My hubby says I am only as old as who I feel.
lol Louise I love that! but my DH is 51....and I'm only 40....so that would only work for HIM teehee!
whats COUGAR?
Now see, Annemarie, you missed a lot while you were gone. :)))
Older woman (Cougar), younger man.
Older man, younger woman (Kitten).
Nitey nite Peg and sweetest of dreams! Was telling my 30ish very good friend yesterday, you know you are getting older when a great nights sleep is better than just about anything!! Heehee
lol, well then I'm a kitten ^_^ teehee!
Louise does that plant bloom only at night?
nope the blooms hang on a very long time. Last year it bloomed in august and I had stalks and berries until Feb. This year it bloomed late. Just started blooming in Sep. But I kept it in more shade and we had a cooler and wetter summer. It really does not like to be kept wet. Amaryllis family.
Wow!!chatty chatty chatty : ) Karen you must be on cloud nine!!!!! I see a lot of beautiful blooms. I love AuntB's pollinating lesson.I used pink double pollen and orange and yellow pollen. I even put brug pollen on a dat : ) So if all goes well there will be seeds for us to play with. Clemen ooooh I think that passi is awesome!!!! I have Maypop, Incense and a white one.
Wow boy I have I been busy all of the unpacking now it is so diffucult for me everything is in disaray.............LOL But I am in and moved so now I can play a little bit today I have some things that I need to plant. Should I plant my Bananna in a pot until the spring?
James
Wow lots going on last night while I was watching movies with Lisa. Still no sleep for me, I’m hoping these meds will were off soon. The most sleep I got was 3 hours last night. Kim that is an awesome Maypop, can’t wait to see what you created with the pollination. Louise, love the royal paintbrush. I’ve never seen one before. I’m with you Peg, 50 or over 50 does not bother me at all, it is just a number. I do sometimes wonder how my children got so old though. Anjl good to see you back posting, you were mia for a while. Mike always nice for you to come out of your lurkdom, you have the most wonderful pix and we love to hear from you. Bonnie you put in quite a day, glad they all helped out some. Karen, so great about your Mom, enjoy your time with her. Clemen, that orange passie is fantastic. You’ll be cutting and cutting away on that one for everyone. Make sure Momasita knows we love it. Deb, I think I’m going to remove the bulbs and tubers from the pots if I can, mostly for space reasons. It will be easier than lugging all the pots to the basement. Joyce maybe I should try your trick with the mirrors then I could make the basement twice as big. Lol. I am feeling better today and now have a much better outlook on things. Friday Lisa had to take me to the dr in a wheelchair because I was too weak to walk into the building, this morning I am up and walking around on my own. Things are looking a whole lot brighter today, great to share with you hotties and again thanks so much for being there for me.
cougar?? kitten?? whats the difference? its what inside ur heart that counts. loves grows stronger the longer u and dh or dw stay together. i should know. don't let temptation ruin a relationship call me dr. phil. lol
