BTW. THE ROYAL BLUE LOCHRONA IS REALLY GROWING. SHE HAS PUT UP A SIDE SHOOT ABOUT ONE FOOT TALL. I HATE TO SEE WINTER COMING. I WANT TO SEE HER BLOOM.
I ALSO ORDERED 10 OF THE RED BRUG SEEDS.

Wolfie, I have no experience with them MG bushes... I know you can buy those little hand warmer packets fairly cheap to put in the pkg with them, but not sure how long the warmth lasts... maybe someone will help.. Debra, that looks like the same pic, hon.. LOOK at this... any guesses?

IT LOOKS NASTY JOESWIFE, JK. LOL

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

I think Wolfie meant my "guess what it is" pic looks nasty, NOT your pretty ones, Debra... that reminds me of the NW corner of my back yard, cept mine has hosta and the trumpet vine provides shade.. course I fight it all the time..

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

It's amorphaphallus, voodoo lily... I dug my potted bulb and had divided when it emerged this year and gave me 2 big stems of canopy, now I have an extra bulb to experiment it's hardiness in the ground.. I'll plant it out next spring and see if it comes back the following spring.. this winter I will store them "naked" on a shelf in the basment once they've air dried a bit..

Before and after pictures are always good. Just can't seem to get myself organized, but pictures help push me along. Have to go and check on my brug, hoping my last bud is still on the plant.

Good afternoon all, barely Worked this morning, and now waiting on some guys to show up to help us cover the pool. I hate this every year. It's a sure sign my summer is over and I am not a fall or winter person at all. Grrr.

Love all the pictures! Even that ugly one! AuntB what does it look like when it's not just been unearthed? And, Aunt B I really think after 50 is better, or it has been so for me! Though I do wish people would quit asking me if I want a senior discount.

Oh, I've been meaning to tell ya'll. We get these inspirational saying at work. Sometimes okay but sometimes they are real jewels. One this week was "Be the kind of woman that when you get up in the morning and your feet hit the floor, the Devil's says, 'Oh, darn, she's up.'" Maybe it was the mood I was in that morning, but it tickled me no end or maybe at 4 in the morning I have a weird sense of humor. Could be, could be.

I'm going to do my bestest tomorrow to get those red brugs seeds out to everyone, so by Friday we'll have something new to play with. I am just sure one of us will be able to grow these. I would love for it to be James to christen his new house!

Kitten or Cougar, hmm I don't know. My first husband was 15 yrs older and I got married at 17. Keith is 5 mo. older older and I Iike this marriage much better, though we are still friends with my ex. Yep, he and Keith get along great and he is over here a lot. My daughter used to groan, "whats the use of having three parents if they all agree!!" Poor kid.

Glad to hear everyone is feeling better (Hugs). I just heard a car pull in so out to finish the pool. Lov ya, Peg

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

I'm finally home and I see that 2 original hotties just posted before me, hoping you are both great Peg and Beckie, trouble makers here, hee hee, and good times we've had.

Hey Bonnie what is that sandal doing in the middle of the pic, are you trying to make some turmoil here, lol!

Anyway, did a lot of outside work, and got rid of weeds, mowed the lawn and so sad, some plants are getting mildew from the season's changig and they had to be trown away. the brugs though are lookinbg better than ever, what can I tell you.

Enjoy your evening hotties and handsomes, love to all, Clem

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Peg, my sis came over Friday eve and handed me a copy of Maxine with that saying on it... only it wasn't quite as "polite" as you worded it ;) I know just what you mean about summer being over.. I like fall, if I weren't preparing for winter... but b-grudgingly, it's getting done.. We had an above ground pool while the kids were growing up and 3 or 4 years ago when I was the only one playing in it and cleaning it, I took it down and that's where I keep them brugs (and lots of etc) now.. not sure which is more work, tho.. but my flowers are lots more enjoyable. Here's a link to a pic I posted on another thread, the amorphs (voodoo lilies) are in the big blue tub at the end of the stairs .. don't work too hard, Meg! ;)

Debra, meant to tell you that what a difference a couple months made in your 2 pictures.. just a lovely setting..
I'm looking for tall (12-18in) boxes for packing up some stuff so I need to keep searching...

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Clemen, bet you think I AM crazy, taking a pic of my sandal..lol ... the sandal was for sizing the ugly bulbs.. only thing I had close at "foot".. :)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

AuntB, go to www.usps.com, and they will send you all kinds of free priority shipping boxes for free. I think just about everyone here, gets thier shipping boxes from them, )If you don't, you should), and I use some for storage boxes too.

Linda Kay that is really cool! Love the pom pom behind! Bonnie just cut back my star jasmine for the winter and thought I would post a how to.. I keep mine in bush form and not a rangy vine.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Wowsers! Lav, you really thinned it out.. still looks great. It should grow fast then... I got a few things accomplished today... I have 4 packages to take to the p.o. and one has your name on it Louise ;) DOE41-AUDREY-AUDEY- if you are lurkin out there, one has your name on it, too lil hottie- have 3 things in your box and they all start with a P. ;) (hook baited, line thrown out) yoohoo James, I'm bringing the Maya with me to the p.o and will box it up there, couldn't find a tall box.. I'll let you know tomorrow that I didn't leave it sitting on the diningroom table.

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

ohhhhhhh presents?? I am so excited. I mailed an envie to Faye. Finally...the four o'clock seeds. I also sent off an envie for a new vine I am gonna try. A sweet dger was giving away cinnamon vine. I really want to cover my eyesore of a tin garage. I am gonna put mirrors up and a vine trellis. Figure I will never do the painting thing I really wanna do. Just not into it without some help.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Very resourceful, Louise! Sounds more fun and less work than painting... you know I'm going to look up that vine.. I've heard of it before....

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)
