Nice scribbling. That school bus musta been late!
Artists in the NE forum - show us your work
and here I thought your name was Victor! Starry, Starry night....
If that's your painting Victor, the school bus must have been a cart drawn by a team of horses.
I thought kids were schooled at home in the seventeenth century.
Hee hee.
How's your ear?
Good one Kathleen
Wow, Victor, that is AWESOME, though I swear I've seen it before. I must have been dreaming.
Oh, Debi, get those paints out again, girlfriend.
DDil just picked out a cross-stitch picture for me to do for little Maggie. I've done one for each of the GDs so this will be #4. Then DH will frame it up in our shop in the basement. He likes to make his own molding instead of using ready-made stock. Now, mind you, it will be months before it is finished, since I haven't started it yet. lol.. By then I WILL have learned to upload pics.
Great, Jan......let us see it when you finish it!
Sherrie - I like your pot and your plate. I'd like to try my hand at pottery at some point.
Kathy - wow! You are really, really talented!! Beautiful work in so many different media!
mrsj - your weaving is so pretty....love the colors you were working with!
Betty - very nice wall hanging!!
You are all so talented!!
You left me out!
Lol!!!Victor, I actually laughed out loud with that one.
By the time I finsih it will be time for the daffodils. Hopefully not. Now that you are keeping me accountable I may work on this one more consistently than the others.
Oh, Gosh, Victor.....I sure did. What was I thinking????!! LOL
You're forgiven, Louise!
Victor, can I have your autograph?
Did you use your pond as the subject?
Of course! It left a lasting 'impression' on me.
heehee
Too funny!!!
Loved the tiles of the borzoi, Betty. My son & DIL want tiles of their wirehaired pointing griffon done to use as a backsplash. If anyone out there is still doing tiles, please Dmail me. Loved the orchids, Booj, the weaving, too. Tonight I'm starting knitting lessons at the library--I want to make pink mittens for my GDs--I can knit, but I can't purl--must be my lefthandedness--or I'm just clumsy! Victor, I'm speechless---and I know Monet is as well!
I pictured him younger.
Me too! I did go through an old period, though...
Victor... I too am Impressed. Do your pictures do you justice?? With the new digital invention maybe time for a new portrait? LOL
Robin, Hardly ever hear of anyone having a WireHair Pointing Griffon. I had one in the 60s. Wow that was a long time ago. I have reduced size and have a Brussels Griffon now.
Daughter is quite the artist and has done limited edition pen and ink prints of the WHPG she will be here in November and might consider doing tiles. I'll ask her. She doesn't have a kiln so would have to complete while she is here.

all kidding aside - can anyone guess who the self portraits are?
Nice scribblings, Victor. You'll be famous one day, maybe after you die.
Great work everyone! So much here I have to catch up. Haven't visited this thread in a little while. Been busy with other ones. Only have so much time, don't cha know.
Karen
Not sure the first or last one but I think the others are VanGogh, DaVinci, Monet and Renoir I should remember the last one just drawing a blank.
Rembrant is first
I think I was wrong

Matisse should be in there too but I don't know which one he is.
I didn't add Matisse - Manet instead. Otherwise you got the rest. Very good.
good thing this isnt a quiz for real $Monet $ lol
lol
No real $Monet?? Too cute. LOL
I was thinking Manet based on color scheme!
I wonder if the people of France would say, 'It's Manet being Manet', when he misbehaved??
Victor didn't answer because he's going thru his blue period and is too depressed to look at his self-portraits and see how he's aging.
I think it's time for a new thread :0)
Doggone, V. You got in before me and ruined my (very slightly) clever response.
Here's the new thread.

Manet and Monet painted in the same period, they had problems with the name similarity.
There is a good movie out about "The French Impressionists"
I didn't know Monet painted in Alaska! LOL
