So you are able to get up and walk around now? Just ake it easy and don't over do it.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Ok Robin, It is a must you have to get my name for the recipe swap, I want all them breads. Ok I will be ok with just the recipe. I love bread. I am not a bread maker but my bread machine is and she is a wonderful tool in my kitchen. Super Super easy recipe and OH so easy. It is add the ingredients, set it and forget it, that is if you can get past the smell of fresh baking bread. DANG I should have made a loaf today.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Cindy, your Dragon Tree is behind the fan. Looks like you have three in the pot, maybe?
They don't like to be overwatered. I guess that's why mine is pouting.

I can walk with crutches for a little bit, but have to keep my foot elevated, so it does not swell too much. I told Todd earlier today, that my big toe looks like jabba the hut!!! LOL

I have two machines. Just gave one to my mom. I got a Kitchen Aid mixer for Christmas and some bread pans so that is how I make bread now. The machines made such small loaves.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

OOOHHH I am still hinting and hoping for a Kitchen Aid!!!! The bread machine takes up so much room....at least with the kitchen aid you can use it for other things too!!!

Raleigh, NC

just finished reading last thread.

Tia, all my love and condolences on your auntie.

Marion - I always blame the mayo in those salads. it just couldnt' be those lovely shellfish. Glad you are better. why is it always lobster salad?

Kathy, oh I'm so horribly hurting for you, sistah. Big dogs - makes you just want to shoot something. But it does sound like more than one. for the thrill of the chase, the hunt, the kill.

Had a great dane/weinmarier (sp?) crossbreed attack us. In Raleigh Rose Garden, it got loose from it's mistress, instantly came straight at us from 200 yards away, full throttle attack. Got 7 month old Blitz on the ground by the throat, was going to rip his throat. I waded in kicking and punching. it took both of us to pull the dane off. people that can't control their dogs shouldn't be allowed to have them if they are destructive and murderous.

Thanks for the well wishes and thought on my Great Aunt. I know she is happy now.

I have a kitchen aid also but I love my bread machine, just the 2 of us well now 5 but it is plenty.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Yep I love my Kitchen Aid, DBF got it for me, also bought the juicer to go with it because I was always asking him to squeeze lemons so I could make Lemon Meringue Pie. Made a batch of Chocolate Chip cookies this morning. Tomarrow Peanut Butter cookies.

just thinking about all those sweets...I'm nauseous again.... waving bye for now

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Not a baker or chef, just a cook at a lakeside bar and grill, but I run the kitchen and prepare all the food. I don't have a kitchen-aid, it would be nice sometimes to have one. I just usually do everything by hand or with my old food processor. I do have a bread machine and I haven't used it in years, just not the same as getting in there and kneading that dough.

Tia, I am so sorry for your loss but be happy she is in a better place,

Marion, I'l post the recipe for the zuke bread. You can make it when you're feeling lots better. (I don't have your name, sorry)

Kathy, I'm sorry for you, too.

Gotta go help Dh put the mailbox back up that the road grader knocked down this morning.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I agree Bon. There are so many irresponsible pet owners around here, not only unwilling to keep their killer dogs fenced in, but couldn't care less if they contribute to the stray animal population.
Bye Bon..

I've never baked bread, and don't want to.. Not a good thing to start when you're a diabetic. Bad enough I'm still coveting and CHEATED sometimes with cookies, carrot cake and cheese cake!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

You ladies are making me sad that DH is working and I am having frozen pizza for dinner:( Tummy is a runblin!!

I got my kitchen aid from work-they have an internal rewards program that with my foirst boss I got rewarded all the time-about $3000 worth!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hey niece, you can start buying chicken pot pies. Marie Callander makes good ones.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I have beef ones in the freezer-not the same though:( Had chicken tacos last night and roast the night B4, but I have been busy all day, so no time to make or thaw real food:(

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh yes but she sure does make good chicken pot pies!! Everything is sounding good so I must be getting better!! Tomorrow maybe.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Then you need to move next to Robin!! She'll take care of you!!

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Yep, I sure will. Tomorrow night is roasted chicken and veges on the grill and Wed. night is ham and beans and corn bread.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I'm moving, I'm moving!! Come on Tinky get with it we are moving next door to Robin!!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Oooh, I think I will move next to Robin......that all sounds sooooo good!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Think I'll send Kel over.. Ham and beans.. his favorites and he'll do anything for a piece of homemade cornbread!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Well both of you come on down here!! I'll cook Kel some ham and beans and stoneground cornbread!! Gonna have to go to Mule Days this year to get more of the stoneground meal for sure.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

NO-NOT beans for Uncle Kel!!! It will be like Ike is back for sure!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Sign me up for beans and cornbread any day!!!!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Nope Tinky, we know about beano!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

LOL-If DH would stop being scheduled nights I wouldn't have to eat frozen food:(

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I am off to bed ladies-have a wonderful evening:)

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Poor thing, I so know that feeling. When I'm working the double shifts the family fends for themselves and they hate it. Believe me they are so glad I'm down to 3 and 4 days a week again. I'm glad too cause now I can cook different meals again.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hey niece, Uncle Kel says you may be right. Beans and cornbread to the north.. and tornado activity to the south!!
:O

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Once again--I am not touching that one either!!! LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion, if you know how much Kel can eat... you'll regret the invite!!

Robin, I cook more when I was working! Just got too lazy to work in the kitchen.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Robin, do you plan out your menu for the whole week? I'm impressed that you know what you'll fix on Wed. I'm not that organized in the kitchen.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh Jaye, I don't think that would bother me after all hubby and son were huge eaters!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Then I know Kel finally found his fairy god mother, Marion!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Just tell me when.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I used to have menu plans for weeks at a time........now........heck I don't know what we are having for dinner tonight!!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I threw organization out the window when I moved here. Not that Kel dislike my cooking, but he rather I spend less time in the kitchen. Yeah for me.
Time for me to call it a night, my sistahs.
Rainbow dreams..

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

'Nite Jaye

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Me too. Night everyone.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm not far behind yall.
