What does that mean?
I'm sure you are ... I'm so sorry that happened.
♥Sweet Interruption♥ 24
it means she has decided to sit and hatch her eggs. she has 7 of them. she hasn't moved of the nest in 24 hours
Oh, ok... so, she'll be having babies too.
hopefully. i would love a flock of little wally's and jezzies
Kathy, I'm so sorry you lost those beautiful birds! It hurts the heart, doesn't it?
I was hoping you'd get to see the peacocks at full strut! Get some more when you can. I'd watch for that dog, and he wouldn't live very long!
he will die if i see him
LOL!! I believe that!!
Kathy I am so sorry that you lost your birds..it's so sad.
thanks kim. they were my buddies
Oh so sorry to read this Sis. You'll be getting more peacocks and guineas? I'm sure you are already checking around to see whether there are stray big dogs..
We'll be looking forward to Wally and Jezebel's brood. Ooh the anticipation. Are we going to have a competition on who could come up with the best names?? Prizes will be some jarred fertilizer, courtesy of the parents!!
Good morning by the way. I still haven't heard from my friends in N. Houston. I'm sure they're okay.
Did y'all see one survivor in Galveston that didn't evacuate, and how his kids wrote their ss. # on their arms, and that's when it hit hard on him how serious the consequence to his decision could be? Thank God, they're okay, water was up to 4 ft. in his house, but I bet you, next time, he'd be the first to drag his family to safer grounds.
Y'all have a blessed Sunday.
sis, i'm gonna get a pyronese first to protect them
Oh no Kathy:( I am so sorry...what kind of animal would do that just for sport-that is just evil!!!
ARE YOU A MOMMA YET?? And did you talk to your vet friend about Tooty's booty??
Sis, you'd be making a good choice there. Pyrenees are beautiful dogs besides being faithful and a good protector.
I told Kathy I would put bear traps out to catch the mongrel!!!
Hmmmm-I will have to look that breed up...
I've only seen white ones.
Dogs will do that. My mom had some chickens and a duck named Claghorn. one night two black labs got into my moms chicken coop and killed about 10 chickens and the duck. We call AC, when she got there the dogs were still hanging around. I yelled at her to shoot the dogs. Stupid woman she tried calling the dogs to her. They took off and she followed them but lost them as it was dark. A couple of days later we saw the dogs running around, called AC of course the dogs disappeared. Well, then few more days went by and I saw a guy walking the dogs. Mom and I went to his house and confronted him. Of course he denied it. He was a jerk an ex- public defender.
Mom got more chickens, a few months later another dog got in the yard and killed some more. This time we caught the dog and found the owners. They paid up real fast. Then again another dog killed all of the chickens, caught that dog, the neighbor got fined plus had to pay my mom $150. She gave up on raising chickens.
Those are big beautiful dogs-lots of grooming:) A german shepherd would be good for that too I think...
Just wanted to drop a line to let ya'll that was thinking of my great aunt, she passed about 10 30 on Friday night. We are all glad she went peacefully. Mom and I just didnt want her to go Monday as that is when we lost my daddy, 7 years ago.
Thanks for all the well wishes and your kind thoughts.
so sorry Kathy I love peacocks but DH won't get any LOL...2 dogs are enough he says ..we'll give it time ....hehehehe
pyronese, german shepard, rottweiler, doberman would all be good ones to have...and contrary to stereo type the last 2 when it comes to family and kids are big babies. raised dobies at one time in my life and unless you train them to be attack dogs they aren't ...the last one we had if my daughter yelled at her she peed on the floor, but if you were an animal that didn't live at our house you didn't stay in the yard long and none of them (we had 3 at one time) never ever turned on any of the kids in the yard and that included neighbor kids. but if you were walking outside of the yard on the RR tracks they would run out there and bark at you but the minute you talked to them they were all like ohh pet me pet me and wiggled all over. LOL
((((HUGS)))) Tina...
Tina, our sincerest sympathies to you and your family. She's smiling where she's at right now.
Oh yea I know she is at peace and with my daddy and my papa and a few other family members. Thanks all
Morning everyone. Glad to hear you all made it through the strom Ok.
So sorry to hear of the dog getting the birds! Some people just don't care, and let the animals roam where ever they want. We live on the outskirrtsof the city, so there is no animal control out here. Some dogs are really geting nasty. So one day, I stopped a sheriff, and ask him what I can do legally to controll the dogs, he told me if they come on my property I have every right to shoot and defend my home and self, so I have my "defender" by the front door, and will use it when needed!
I am doing OK, still taking vicadin, and probably will be for few more days. I will be gone later today, and most of Monday, we have to go back for a follow up. Then I will get to see the damage he did!!!
I got this real pretty froggy sock from Deborah (cordeledawg)Thank you for all the gifts and sock, and get well wishes. They mean so much.
Talk to you all later
Linda Kay
Take advantage of the "down time" as Deborah calls it. Watch out now LK, she didn't tell you that putting on that sock might get you hopping around!!
Tia,
So sorry to hear of your Auntie. God has picked another pretty flower for his Garden.
Cindy
Kathy so sorry for your losses....... I know we get very angry at the dogs when something like this happens.......on the other hand I feel they are doing what has been hardwired into their makeup for a million years.......It's the owners who let them run around loose and unsupervised that I think should be shot first!!!
Tia our hearts and prayers are with all of you.....we know they are in a better and happier place, but it still hurts when they are gone. {{{{{{{{{Big HUGS}}}}}}}}} to you and mom, and all of your family.
Linda Kay glad to have you , you take care and don't over do!!!
Deb, you smarty, "heal fast" on the heel!
Still under the weather - speaking of which, hope everyone in TX and AL are OK?
sorry - this is too much. waving = I'm back to bed. DH thinks it's my new thyroid meds causing the problme.
Really everyone thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
Hope all out there is doing good and safe. All that are down hope they feel better, and stay off that foot there Linda.
My prayers are with you too Tina... Love ya, gal.
I just talked to JoJo... she's still in Waco because she has no power at her house... will wait it out in Waco till the power is back on. She said THANKS to all of you who were thing of her during this storm... her house got no damage, but she will need to repair the fence where the dogs live right away when she gets home... so, when she gets her life back under control... she'll be back here with us... she promises.
I can not seem to get hold of Marion... has anyone heard from her?
I'm getting worried now.
She's supposed to have returned on Friday from that trip to Gainesville.
Maybe she decided to have a mini vacation. She hasn't posted anything on Lingernot's journey for a few days now, on the Aroid thread.
Thanks for the update on Joey, BJ. Next time you talk to her, just let her know if there's anything we can send her that she needs, let us know please.
I know you'll try again to get hold of Marion.
Listen here elder Sistah Marion, don't you know not to wander off without letting us know.. please check in soon ..
Jaye... JoJo didn't say she was in need of anything... she and her friend are having a good visit, and the kids are fine.
Just talked to Marion... She did get home on Friday night, but had lunch with some friends Friday that didn't agree with her... so, she's been kinda sick for the last couple days... she has lurked around a bit, but hasn't posted because she hasn't felt well. She'll try to check in with us soon... said "she had a fight with a lobster, and the lobster won"... but she's feeling better now.
That's a relief BJ. So, it's crackers and water for a few days eh, that's gonna be hard on her :D
You rest your tummy for now Marion. No more lobster unless you see for yourself the lobster's straight from the tank when it's prepared for you.
Hope you'd feel better soon.
I am glad Marion is OK and JOey too-I hope Auntie M will be back on tomorrow with lots of pics of boxes she got when she got home;)
Tina-I am sorry to hear that, but hope she had a wonderful full life-that is the one thing I want when I go-to have a wonderful full life of lots of love and friends-it would be nice if we could have children too...haven't had luck in that dept yet (right mom??)
So what are you waiting for?? We want to see mini Staceys.
It is going to take a while to catch ujp on everything. I am here, okay --sorta--will post more later. Just know I am home and really okay.
Boxes were here and I love everything. Will post pictures very, very soon.
No lobster salad for quite a while for sure!!!~!!!!!!!!
YEAH-AUNTIE M IS ALIVE!!!
Jaye-it isn't a matter of waiting, it is a matter of my shriveled little eggs & the tadpoles getting their act together;)
Well then, give the tadpoles some directions!!
Glad to see you posting Marion. Don't forget to recharge the camera. We'll be patiently waiting on the pictures.
