Thank you. But the battle isn't quite over yet. I have asked everyone to light a candle on the evening of September 22 because on the 23 we will find out if we get permanent custody. I think she deserves us. Not that we deserve her. It has been a very tough road but you do what you know is the right thing. And first and foremost was keeping this baby out of harm's way. So far I have succeeded. Yes, it took a toll, but was their any other choice? NO!!!!!!

I will, I have a friend who went through the same thing and she DID get custody and adopted her grandson. Everything worked out well, her relationship with her daughter is good and her grandson has a stable home.

Karen when I feel my bronchitis coming on I take the over the counter BronKaid Tablets...(it says it for asthma but it works for me..gets all that gunk out) .None of the antibotic's worked for me
And usually in a day or two it goes back away....Hate to get a full blown attack it literally knocks me off my feet and puts me in bed...propped up
So I don't take any chances...

Louise, my daughter HATES me. She just turned 21 on July 27, and Amiyah is 22 months old. She will not communicate with me, knows nothing about being a Mother, and, because the habitual criminal she got tangled up with when Amiyah was just two months old, she thought she could have both. So sad that young girls are manipulated by bad men. I nipped that one in a heart beat, kept the baby safe and in a much better environment, and yeah, she hates me. It's my fault that she doesn't have custody of her baby. Wow!

Well My step daughter (she's messed up) use to live near us with her 2 boys....But got mad at me cause her oldest son Zack wanted to stay and live with grandma...he was about 4 at the time...had him for about 5 days and had to trick him to go home..

Guess he told his mom that he hated her and could live with grandma if he wanted to...
Well she called as soon as I got home accusing me of brainwashing her son...
I never said a word to him....He was my buddy....
Well shortly after that she left her DH and moved to Texas with another man....I've seen the boys once since then...
They now live with their dad in Ill.
But she had Ivy in Texas and everytime we've tried to see her we weren't allowed...Always an excuse...
So I have never met her...I have pic's but it's not the same...
She'll call for money but the answer anymore is no..
If the kids need anything all she has to do is let us know and i'll buy it..I've bought them school clothes in the past...But no cash...cause the kids never see it..
She'll be 14 weeks on Saturday...
We believe she was 2 weeks overdue...
My daughters tiny and Arianna was 8 pounds 14 1/2 ounces and 21 inches long...
And very wrinkled..
My daughter had a hard time and me and her DH never left her side..
I cried with her...I was up for over 40 hours...
But she's the light of her life....And her daddy's
She's setting it up with work so she can work part time from home and go in to the office only 2 or 3 days a week...

Nope I didn't paint my "skinny" big toe nail, bandage comes off in the morning.. but I did use Mel's polish, cause it's HOT, just like US.. The little Antique Lace brug was grown from a foot and a half tall cutting this summer, (12 blooms all at once and more buds coming!) she's only about 3 1/2 ft tall, I LOVE her.. and pink beauty is one of my original brugs from 9 yrs ago... I'm turning in, sure hope I didn't miss out on too much..

That "poem" had been running around in my head all day, it's actually an old CW tune changed for Hotties.
We've all been through hard times, some of us are still going through hard times, some of us will face hard times in the future, but we are all still fighting and hanging in there for what is right... our grandchildren, our children, our parents or even just ourselves.
No matter if we are "cougars" (I love that, I had never heard that before, and been there, done that, I had to call the police to get him to leave me ALONE after one date, while his mother was calling me on the phone using every name in the world, and I'm telling her, "I do not want your son around me", and then she got mad that her son wasn't good enough for me) , or rich or poor, we are all the same. We are a group of good women, and we have connected and are friends, even though I still say the my "Hottie" is when I have been working too hard and sweating, but according to the true Southern women, I'm "glistening." That sure sounds better when I'm sweating! Tee Hee.
I've really got to get some rest, dear ones. I'm feeling better, but not still 100%. Karen, you bronchitis sounds about like what I'm going through... take care, sweetie. That are supposed to be adults!My Brother and wife are going through hard times with their oldest boy..hmmm He is 8 years younger tahn I am, and when my 2 kids were teens.. I felt they thought I was BAD..LOL well now they see that being a parent isn't what it's cracked up to be. One thing I can say is my kids were never in jail , and never came home drunk.. can't say that about his! Really i had good kids, it was when they left home that they went a lil wild.
Sorry to cut this short.. just heard we are under mandatory evac. Called the NH and she didn't know anything, so I imagine we'll try to head out in the morning . I still have stuff todo, so I better get at it now.. probably be up all night.. I'll check in later

Louise, I don't know if either one of us (me and my daughter) will ever get over this there is that much bad blood between us and it is just getting messier as the court date approaches.
