Sounds like mass confusion Crissy, pink eye is very contagious isn't it?Not sure what they do for it, most likely drops right?
Judy, lol, you are always in some type of situation..
I was laughing at myself this morning...the other day it was sooo cold I had the furnace on, well yesterday with baking and cooking a turkey and it being soooo humid I decided to put the air on, we I couldn't figure out why it wasn't getting much cooler, so this morning I'm down in the room where my computer is and the furnace is working off/on/off/on..dah had the furnace on as well so both were fighting each other all day..and then I wonder why hydro and gas is so expensive...
Best/ worse/ ? did you learn today #59 visit with friends...
Hi everyone. I've been a stranger lately. Just keeping busy. I hope everyone is doing well.
Here's a quick update: Sailor the puppy is doing great! She has certainly taken over the 'alpha dog' position from Murphy. I think Murphy is ok with this. he seems to just lay around and let Sailor climb all over him. They wear each other out and it's hilarious to watch them!
We did have a little challenge in that Murphy came home from the kennel after our vacation with kennel cough. Even though he had had the vaccine, he still got a mild case of it and the sneezes and then of course passed it to Sailor. Poor thing sounded like a dying goose. I finally did take her last Monday to the vet (the vet had called in meds for her prior) because I was concerned out her lungs. They luckily were fine and the only symptom was her cough. No fever, or runny nose, etc. So she is now much better. Has an occasional cough but nothing like the honking of last week.
Sailor has also been sleeping longer at night which has been wonderful for DH and I. She still has accidents in the house - mainly when the kids are in charge of watching her ("watching" being the key word!). She goes Wednesday to get her 3rd set of shots. We will then be able to take her out and walk her and show her off.
I did forget to tell y'all that DH and the kids and I went to the NASCAR race last Sunday here in Richmond. It was our first one (we're Indy fans) and I got tkts thru work. I have to say that seeing the crowds and all the ppl in the parking lots and stands was the highlight. Just pure excitement. The race on the other hand was ...slow! Since DH & I follow Indy, we are used to the cars going REALLY fast and the nail biting of open wheel racing. NASCAR just didn't do it for us. I'd go again in a heartbeat - for all the fun. In fact we probably will go in May with our friend who works there and can get us in. We will actually go behind the scenes as he gets one of the big RVs to stay in and works w/ some of the drivers when they aren't racing. Anyway, it was an experience and the kids had a good time and came home with #88 (Dale Jr) stuff.
Work is going well. Have had some slow time and busy ones. The next month should be very busy.
I've been in the yard breaking down the gardens, pulling up all the tomato plants and getting ready to till it all for winter.
Well, back to work. I'll chat later.
J
Oh I am so Jealous J! We're huge NASCAR fans and have been to the Infinion race and the spring Vegas race. We said now that we live in the South our next race is going to be Bristol. Texas would be a lot closer but Bristol is way more exciting. It has gotten so boring to watch on TV with the new cars.
I'm glad Sailor is doing good and Murphy is adjusting to having a pup around. When I got my cat, Tiga (Teega) as a kitten 12 years ago I had another older cat, and the older cat just hissed and hissed at the new kitten. Tiga pretty much told her, "You're going to play with me whether you like it or not!" and they became best friends, they would play and play and play, way too cute!
I have 2 bosses, one is the director, who is everybody's boss, and the other is the Information Technology boss, who is my direct boss. Both are wonderful men and I'm very glad I know them.
It turns out the director's son doesn't have pink eye, which is extremely contagious, but an ulser in his eye, so he was going to pick up medicine, take him home, and come into work. All he said about himself was, "It's weird that we woke up with the same symptoms this morning." He didn't say why he's having eye problems, but he won't ever take his contacts out so it's probably something minor from that.
Jeannine how wonderful to read your post, thought you might be busy/busy with Sailor girl...glad that Murphy's nose isn't out of joint...if I remember correctly from last year, it's about this time or mid Oct. you go down the river toput the boat away right? that's the sad part of the year, that and putting the gardens to bed...had thought I'd get someone over the weekend but NOT...looked at the giant size geranium on my deck this morning and thought I'd better take it and a few other plants inside, know we still have great weather ahead but it only take 1 night of cold weather to do them in...
Crissy/Jeannine never got into race cars, do attend the odd 'smash em up derby's though' - always fun and normally at local fairgrounds..was in Daytona once though but it was motorcycle week, not that was an experience..should tell you about that story....lol
