Yes, Hottie Bloomers! I meant to tell you they are ALL just beautiful, I so enjoy the pics! Nice! Joyce, thanks for the "hint", FALL/Winter really is coming isn't it? I've got plumies to think about, too... but I want more time for brug blooms... Cat's mystery DG friend.... come on, introduce yourself, we don't bite and we're all learning and teaching. You don't HAVE to be a hottie to post... but you will be when you come back next time. Louise thanks for the moonflower seed starting info, I see them everywhere but no seedlings for me... I'll try soaking them next spring..
She's about to... #13
Thanks Donna for the God Bless! Right back atcha☺
All the pics are Beautiful. Hotties make some of the best teachers, great source of info here mixed with love.
I was in my purple satin PJ's, taking the pic. Just couldn't go to bed with out taking one more peep and pic!!! LOL
Glad to hear everyone is doing ok, and no major damage anywhere.
Linda Kay
Uh OH! I think I got America in trouble with France over Loosestrife☻I was in the water gardens forum and the thread "strange fish in my pond" and mentioned getting rid of my Loosestrife. Apparently in France, it is not considered noxious by someone posting on that thread.
I'll just stay here awhile with my Hottie pals and stay out of harms way☺
I am hiding behind a great big Brug too,so I really feel safe☺
Hey all you hottie sis's!! Did you miss me??????...lol.. We just got home!!.. and now the clean up begins... NOT from the hurricane, since it turned and didn't come here... BUT from bringing all the plants and outside furniture inside!! I have this lil path.. and I mean lil... hehehe.. if I have a mind to.. I'll take a pic.. you won't believe..
I'll catch up.. I have really missed you girls!!..Love ya!!
Welcome back Becky. glad to see you back online.
We missed you. Is everything OK?
Linda Kay
Well Becky, I don't know you yet cause I am a nubbie here on this amazing Hottie thread, but I sure was missing you. ☼Welcome back♫♫♪♫ I almost called the new Hottie Hotline myself to track you down☺
Becky can ya feel the love???
Helloo Hotties. Long day at work and we're going "out to eat" This is an event at our house!
Okay Beck, I went to the Red Cross and canceled them looking for you, I called and thanked all of the campsites again for their being so nice, I canceled the missing persons ad in your local newspaper for next weekend. I'm forgetting something, what is it? Uh, oh, I forgot to tell the National Guard we found BB and her sidekick Coach B.
Talk to ya later gals, got to do the fuufuu and war paint. Peg
Hey everyone. Welcome back Becky. Glad everyone is ok.
I got another dmail from the gal with the moon flower question and tried to look her up. Got nothing, so she may not be a member. If I understood right, they can dmail but not post on most threads unless they are a registered member??
Anyway, I think she is confused over the difference between datura, moonflowers and brugs.
Posy how is yours coming along? No bloom yet??
OMG you guys never stop, make me feel bad over here because I usually do not get to catch up with our silly stuff. Between work and the girls and life oh well. BUT i love you all.
So Kim had a nice birthday lady, your gift was mailed today!
Beckie you can never be missing in action, we love, well, lets go back, I love you to much!
Peg, the banana pie recipe, well, DH will get it on his birthday, have not told him yet!
Posy, I'm been in trouble for the purple thing already, although I do like them, and grow them, please do not trow rocks at me, I just pull the extras that i get!
Linda Kay, the dat IS GORGEOUS! And anyone on this thread that wans seeds just say so, I have many cooking up !
Hi kimboe adn Aunt B! And DONAAAAAAAAAA where are you?????
Ok I know I missed a lot of hotties but need to go and feed the family ok, first day of school for my girls! Love you all, Clemen
P.S. You are such great company, cannot trade you for anyone in the world! I
It is never gonna bloom at this rate.......and I had a perfect excuse today to go inside that almost bloom because it had 4 ugly green bugs just inside the part that is open. I squashed those yucky bugs but good☺Imagine, the gall, and the bloom not even completely out yet..sigh................it has been a stressful day for sure ☻
It's getting there! Another couple of days. It's going to be gorgeous!!
Yippy, Becky so glad you and your family are okay. So good to have you back, we missed you.
Just got in and need to find food so, I will read all while eating and be back in a bit.
Poor Koda!! We have 1 inside and 3 outside cats, and I swear the outside ones go drag hungry kitties home with them! A couple months back a spotted black & white one showed up one morning and wouldn't leave. She'd hurt her tail somehow and it was cut about half off. After she stayed around a few days and I realized she wasn't going anywhere, she went to the vet. All outside cats are spayed now.
Aw!lol!I think you are right about those outside cats Cat,spreading the word and dragging hungry kitties and hurt ones home☺
I am turning in early tonight, but not before I go smell my Brug,it started to have a slight scent today................maybe tomorrow it will be all the way open☺
Good Nite all you wonderful Hotties☺
Check it early in the morning. Mine didn't close up until a couple hours after daybreak.
So no one has any ideas what my yellow Brug might be? I guess there are 1,000 varieties of yellow.....Oh well, I'll just enjoy it and call it Joe, LOL!
Here are my baby girls, Lily, Maddy and Raynee...... you ever seen dogs that don't want to get wet? They HATE to touch their "tooties" onto wet ground, even if it's not raining!
Sorry Karen, so far I've had 1 bloom and it was white with pinkish tones! It was a NOID too. I have a few3 named ones but they haven't bloomed yet
Okay, food is in the belly and I feel better, gotta back pedal here a bit cause I miss some blooms earlier.
Karen your noid is beautiful, there is on in the plant file that looks a lot like it but I can’t remember the name.
Kimbob that Versi Apricot has a beautiful big bloom, that plant is going be gorgeous when it flushes.
AuntB so glad no burg damage from you piece of Gustav. Must have been fun to bunk in with the burggies. I may have my turn this weekend
Louise, thanks for the moonflower info. I did soak mine and the first batch came up fine in the house in April, I lost a lot of them when I put them in the ground in mid May. I’ll bet the ground was just to cold. I did some more in mid June and they all were fine but no flower yet just a bunch of big long vines that have outgrown the trellis. I’m also looking for the lavender seeds so let me know if you find them.
Linda Kay outside in the yard in your PJ’s my goodness; ah I do it all the time. That dat is so pretty, she is worth it.
Clem, such a busy life, but having a house full of family is worth it. Maybe you’ll get a little more Clemen time now that the girls are back in school.
Becky, yes you were missed; we worried the whole time you were gone. Hope all is okay at the house. If you need anything let us know.
Peg, hope your having a great time at dinner, it is soooooooooo worth the fufu and war paint if some one else is going to cook and clean up.
Lu, that bloom is coming maybe tomorrow or maybe the 7th (like I guessed) ha ha. She is going to be beautiful. Don’t worry about the water garden people they will get over it. Your little adoptie Kodo is adorable.
Cat, so sad about the kitty with half a tail, you are a wonderful kitty mom to take them all to the vets and care for them.
For me good news, Chiropractor said I’m in good shape, the mussels are getting stronger so just a little adjustment today. Now I just need HANNA to go away because I can not haul all those pot in.
Hello to all and have a good night.
OMG! SHE'S home!!! Yiiiiiiiippppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Becky so glad you checked in with us... IS there a Hottie Hotline? I can't wait for the pics of lil path, lol I'm so thankful you and yours are safe and glad your things are okay.. bet it's good to be home. Posy, you are safe here, we won't let them French DG water-gardeners pick on you... don't ya just hate to cause a stir, sure makes a lurker outta ya for a while over there, huh? It's very common for our "noxious weeds" to not be considered noxious in other countries, climate has a lot to do with how things grow and reproduce. (Now I gotta go see what was said, I'm sure you are still welcome over there, Lu.) Wow, can wait to see your pretty yellow brug's skirt, and she smells, already?? Ahhhhhhhhh! I bet it's almost too much to contain yourself, have you alerted friends and neighbors in nearby towns, what is about to happen??? Seriously, I called my Mom.. lol Linda Kay, I knew you were ready for bed! I get all my kitties by strays, I had a Tommy (tiger like Koda) for almost 6 years-outdoor cat.. Now I have Missy, a calico, very shy and it took a long time for ME to touch her... I let her have a litter of kittens (that was fun) I had her fixed and she's been an inside/outside kitty since the litter.. She has warmed up to the kids, and tolerates the kids friends, but she's my cat, sleeps on my bed and lays on my lap.. spoiled kitty. And Sweet Pea the parrot. Hi Cat! Clemens having a nice family meal, Peg's "puttin' on the ritz" ;) to eat out, Donna what did you find to nuke? ;) Mel made us chicken and rice w/ bean greens ;) and muffins...mmmm the house smelled good too! It's very cool, high 50's, rainy and ...GULP...fall-like.
Gawjus! A lot deeper yellow than my Joe, LOL! Oh and Posy? I wouldn't worry a bit about that...Don'tcha just HATE it when people overreact like that? My goodness, such a fuss about nothing!

Leftovers AuntB, oh you know me so well.
I'm a long winded ol' Hottie tonight! Hi all you lurkers! ;) You know who ya's are! Donna, so glad for the good dr report.. I hope it doesn't hurt anymore. I know about those pots, I can't do much lifting (knees), I have to get kids or someone to do it for me, at least the 25 gal tubbed ones... I drive the mower w/trailer and point, which ones and where they go.. it's quite a production..lol. Of course, I'll spend days/weeks? getting things ready.. (Argh! now I'm talking about it,.... I'm not ready to get ready!!) Clem that is gorgeous! Aw, Karen your friends look so loved and loyal! Lu, call her Goldilocks, not Joe! She's just right! Lovely! I want to clarify the MOON FLOWER/ MOONVINE discussion from up there a few posts.. Moonvine is a vine, a member of the potato family, I think and it does come in lavender, (I'd love to get my hands on some lavender), but anyway, Moon Flower is a bushy type datura, as far as I know. There is a tall white datura, but the bushier ones normally don't get as tall, however I've seen some pretty tall moonflower bushes, the bushy ones are also known as Jimson weed.. (there's that word again, Lu.. :) Some do consider it a weed, but I don't I encourage it, to no avail, but now I know to soak the seed first, thanks to Cat. Just like with brugs.
HELP hotties....it suppose to get down in the 50's here tonight, can anyone tell me?
Will brugs be ok
Will ees be ok
Will hibiscus be ok
Will ginger be ok
Will chicken gizzard or what ever that is be ok
Will begonias be ok
I brought part of the stuff in last night but...didn't bring everything....
I think in Florida it gets that cold and the ee's make it.
I am going to grab the trible brug cause I want to see it bloom!
Hey Bonnie, where do you get the energy to write so much! I love you so! Believe me! Clem
Happ garden no frost, don't worry, they might actually like it, We've had that weather here in August and everything is fine, relax!
Karen, lol, really! It took me a sec to figure out "Gawjus"! How utterly adorable! Ok, you wonderful people, I'm getting s l o w in the autumn of my life.. Give the old Hottie a brake...break..
Yes, Joyce, (don't make me freak out, girl!, good golly!!) 50 is okay on everything, EXCEPT I'm not sure on the ginger or the chicken gizzard... I think it is a begonia of sorts, I'm not bringing anything in..... shall I snatch the plumeria up and bring it in???
Hi Joyce
Don’t stress I have left everything on that list (except the ginger) outside here and it has gone as low as 45 already at night All should be fine, no frost, no problem.
Funny thing about moon bush, they grow in almost every pig pen I see around here blooming like crazy. I got seeds one spring and threw them down and they grow just fine, put on lots of seed pods and I just let them winter over and the seeds sprout and grow the next year. I heard you are not suppose to have them around brugs but I don't know if that is true or not. They smell wonderful very strong and pure white.
OK, I will beath now....auuuuuuuuuuuu, thank you all. What in the world am I doing with all these tropicals!!!
AuntB I did bring the plumerias in. They don't like alot of water and I heard they really don't like cold, unless you want them to go dormant.
Nice to have friends in cold placessssssssss....sounds like a song.
Hate to tell you Joyce & Bonnie, weatherman says it's to get in the 40's in a few days!
OOOOOOOOOH my! 40's...dang I knew it I knew it was going to get cold early! I thought tonight we needed to have chicken and noodles or chili, wet and cold! Cat I hadn't heard that and I am farther north than the "big" city and it gets 5 to 10 degrees colder up here. People I work with say I live on the Iowa line...LOL
Cat, we do not want to hear that OKkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!
Happgarden it is not happening, I am praying for ya ok
Aunt B The back is better, a little sore and gets stiff but doesn’t hurt all the time anymore. I was looking at the yard tonight, mostly because of Hanna and wondered where did all these pots come from. There are literally hundreds of them, I never got anything into the ground and I just keep putting everything in pots. I really have to get started on the clean up soon it is going to take a month to empty all these. The Dr said I can do a little more but he stressed the word LITTLE, ahh he knows me well too.
