Athens, PA(Zone 5b)

Oh Goody! I have been thinking of her as Aurea Pink for so long,I was having trouble thinking of her as yellow, not that I will disappointed either way....and I kept my fingers and nose away from her today,no touching or petting. I stroked and pet the cat instead☺

Posy, no matter what color she ends up as, she is beautiful. Can't wait for her to open. Does she have a smell yet?
So sorry ot hear of your medical problems. You would think with all the technology today, the Doc could figure out what is wrong with us, but ony after 100 test, and lots of money!!!! Then it is a big maybe?

Lu, EP dose start out white and takes almost a day to turn pink, but yours really looks very yellow to me in the pic. Ah, color does not matter it will be beautiful whatever the color.
Sorry to hear you have problems riding in the car, I will assume from that that airplane travel is also not an option.

Yup Linda Kay, that looks like a triple to me, might be tomorrow night before she fully opens. Such beautiful flower, I wish they lasted a little longer.

Clemen you can borrow my pockets anytime you want, unfortunately they are always empty. School shopping with 2 girls, yes I remember that well, it is enough to put anybody in the poor house. I’m sure you all had fun though.

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Hi Phyllis, they're looking good.

(Phyllis) Osceola, PA(Zone 5b)

And the little guy who's finally getting leaves and growing....
Can't wait to repot him....

Hi all. Long day today but I got home in time to make the rounds to see if there were any new buds! Didn't see anything yet. I can be patient!

Sorry Posy, I know it has to be frustrating. Hope someone can figure out what it is soon and get you some relief!

Are you guys getting rain up there Bonnie & Joyce??? Nothing here! It looks like we are supposed to get a little tomorrow & Thurs, but I'm to the see it to believe it stage.

Hi everyone else. Hope you all have good days tomorrow

Hi everyone else

Athens, PA(Zone 5b)

Thank You Linda Kay

You are so right about the money and technology. I still find it hard to believe how the medical community operates, sounds as though you too have been there, done that☻

Oh darn! I did not try smelling it today. Tomorrow I will ☺

Thanks Clem,so sorry about your allergy☻ If we ever win the Megamillions, I'll buy you one of those $3000 non allergy cats. I saw a feature on them last year. There is a long waiting list☺

I couldn't wait till tomorrow,I went out just now with the flashlight and as far as my nose can tell,no smell yet☻ Donna, you are right, it has been easier to stand the anticipation with all you hotties waiting with me☺

See all you good folks tomorrow. Everyone stay safe and happy till then☼

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Yeah, the Hotties are blooming tonight! Posey, that bloom is just putting on a stage show, I bet she turns pink on you! And it looks so healthy!! Congrats.

Kimbob, Welcome back. (Hug) We've missed ya. You always have such beautiful things to show us!

Linda Kay, were you expecting triplets or did this just sneak up on you? That will be gorgeous. Please keep the pictures coming.

Clemen, I can't help you with the pockets. My DD just finished college last year and finally I have some money that does not go out on tuition, books, etc. But you just can't help it, you love them so much. :))

Please, everybody, in the midst of everything, as Bonnie said, and I am going to say, again, maybe we need to establish someway if any one is leaving for awhile an emergency system to check up. I'm being very serious here. We have not heard from Beck, we have not heard from Audrey, we have not heard from Anne, Kimbob was gone for a long time, Marion was gone and now back (:) but I honestly would want to know if anybody in this group was going through hard times or whatever. Or if we offended someone, somehow. If there is anything we can do at any time, speaking for myself, just yell. If you don't want to talk about it on the thread and would rather be private, d-mail me please, or any of the sisters, so someone can say, I talked with her and she's okay, and nothing else! I think you will find we can be a comfort and care about all of you very much.

In Okie, nuff said. :))

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I think Audrey is still Alabama visiting her great granddaughter. She went to Bessemer to meet some DG friends last Friday and was going to be awhile coming back home. I was going to do but didn't make it.

Peg, we did exchange numbers on the Sweet Interruptions thread with the hurricanes playing around like they did and apparently going to continue doing.

Stay safe everyone and keep the pictures coming . Hopefully someday I will be able to post one!! Just need life to slow up a wee bit.

Athens, PA(Zone 5b)

Oh Donna, it was awful. Last time I tried to fly,I thought I would have to parachute out.

I did get a fair warning on the WebDr not to buy a riding lawnmower which I have heeded. I bought a self propelled one that auto adjust to whatever pace I feel able to walk at. Yea TroyBuilt☺

(Cathy), MO

Anyone on here know much about moon flowers??

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Thanks everyone for the welcome back. Peg, that's such a loving gesture....
You know, I'll be there, some time late, but I will be there in the long run. ....

Lucille, hope you get to feel better. I love your cat! I'm so glad to see you finally have a beautiful bloom coming.

Have a great evening everyone, take good care.

Moon flowers? The vines or the white datura are you talking about Cath.?

(Cathy), MO

I got a dmail from a Dg'er with a question about moonflowers and I'm totally lost. Never had one . I told her to post the question on here and if no one here knows, they will know where she can go to get help.
If she posts.... help her you guys! :-)

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I've grown both kinds, will be glad to share my experience for a nominal fee. Just kidding. Tell your friend to ask away. lol.
Kimbob.

Hopefully she will post! Thanks Kimbob.

Shower time for me. Have a good night everyone

Cat, I know I’m having one heck of a time trying to grow some. No blooms yet and if I do get some they are so tangle in with the MG’s I’m no longer sure which is which. 60 seeds went in and no flowers came out.

Peg, I totally agree with you, I would really worry if anyone just disappeared. I for one have a nasty habit of going to the walk in (ER) and lots of times end up with a weeks stay in one of RI’s finest. I would not want you all to worry. It is just allergies nothing serious but it happens quickly.

Marion thanks for the info on Audrey, I didn’t know she was going away.

Lu, god bless you, self propelled or not you still have to push some and walk a lot.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yes, 5 of us from DG were going to spend the Labor Day weekend with Kathy in Bessemer but unfortunately I didn't make it. I do recall Audrey telling us her plans for the trip. Don't think she plans to return until after the 3rd--ah tomorrow I guess.

I am green with envy from all the stories being posted on Sweet Interruptions.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Here she is tonight. Opened and beautiful. and two different colors, Don't know if this is normal or not, but I will take it! ^_^

Phyllis, that little guy in the pot is doing so much better, he’s really filling in.

Wowzers, Linda Kay she is gorgeous, and the pix came out fantastic.

Thanks Marion if she mentioned it on this thread I missed it. Hope she is having a great time. I’m sure they miss you being there.

I'm on the phone with Becky right now! She's okay!!!! I will report back later.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Yeahhhhhhhhhh, so happy my Beckie is ok!

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Hey Hotties!

Becky is fine, just getting Mom settled and getting to where Mom was. She sounded great, just like she writes on here. :) Even her dogs sounded great, as my old man snored in the background. (Uh, that's my dog, not DH!!)

Linda Kay, that is beautiful! I have not even tried dats, I'm still struggling with brugs. :)

Kimbob, I just bought two doubles, you may hear from me. I know, I haven't even got a single blooming yet and I jump to doubles. I have such thoughts of grandeur! :P

Now, truly, dear ladies, it is way past this lady's bedtime. Work begins early tomorrow. Sweet dreams and brug blooms, Peg

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Linda Kay that is beautiful!! Soooooo glad Becky is ok!!! Yay! I hope all of our online sissies stay safe, well and happy!
On the moonflower question, I grow them every year and here is what I have learned. Always soak the seed before planting, they come up so much faster and more reliably. I cannot save seed from mine, they never grow...lol I have to buy new each year. Mine hate competition, I grow them away from the mg's because until they get big they are slowww growing here. Once they gain size they really take off. They love water when they are first growing. I water them every day. They are not prone to disease here like regular morning glories can be. I just love them!!! I want to find seed for the lavender ones even though they don't have perfume. They are worth the effort in growing them. Start them early for earlier flowers. I planted mine late in June and they have not flowered yet. Last year I started them early and had flowers by beginning of August. Do not set them out until the soil warms they hate cold soil.

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Good morning hotties! I am wanting help this morning with the first of my 5 NOID Brug babies....This was bought at a antique store/yard ornaments and flowers with NOID attached. I would love to have the correct names for my plants like you all do!

Glad to hear that everyone is safe from the storm. Where I am we have had the most maddening mist for 3 days, like Chinese water torture, not actually rain but steady. My Boston Terriers are going crazy, they don't want to go outside. Ever met a dog that didn't want to get wet? LOL!, I have 3 of those silly puppies.

Hope all you hotties are gearing up for a wonderful day, Love Karen

What a way to start the day--all the lovely pictures of Dats and Brugs! A ray of sunshine for me. Keep posting please.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Karen, those pictures of your NOID brugs are beautiful. Here I've 'Versi Apricot' in full bloom. The trumpet is quite large and in perfect form. I didn't stay up late last night to catch the scent from this lovely flower.

Good morning everyone.

YIPPPEEEE! Becky's safe and well! We've all joined hands in a big Hottie circle doing the Happy Dance! Whew!! Gave us a scare! I think we're all accounted for... aren't we? Linda Kay? Were you out there in your nightie taking pics of that gorgeous triple dat??? lol She's very lovely like lemon chiffon.... Hey Phyllis, those brugs do look happy and your yard/woods/background!!! Lovely! Hi Cat, I got about 1/2 inch at my house during the day yesterday... cleared off, kind of then when I got home the wind came up -(residue from Gustav I'm sure) I had my Big old P. Versi, big old Pink Beauty, both slammed to the ground, and a few others... no limb loss, very minimal bud loss, some leaves.. after a couple hours the wind tamed down and we got some sprinkles... cool this a.m. 56 degrees at 7a.m. more sprinkles and breezy.. (lil Antique Lace and Cassie's Curls had a slumber "party" with me last night..) 3 blooms and lots of buds on A.L., smelled up my whole livingroom.. such a welcome scent early this morning, too.. (moved back out before the sun came up) Oh, I just feel so much better hearing from Becky... thanks Peggy for letting us know so quickly! :)
