The drawing is tonight and they give the winning numbers sometime on the 11:00PM news. It is a NY news station but I don't know what channel. If I find it I'll be back tonight to let you all know if we are rich Brug Hotties☺

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Athens, PA(Zone 5b)

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rats! can't find the winning numbers! I am pooped Clem and so Good night to all you wonderful Hotties♥

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Clemie.. was that grrrrrr... for me?? lol^_^

Lu... wouldn't that be nice!!! I couldn't imagine having lots of money...

Girls.. it's looking scary about Gustav for us.. the eye.. IF it keeps on track isn't very far from us... maybe 70 miles.. but it seems like it is countinuing to go west.. so I hope it keeps traveling that way..

sorry Linda Kay.. don't want it to come your way either

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

I wish it would go far away and do no harm!!!

Athens, PA(Zone 5b)

Yikes Beck! Stay Safe!

Oh darn! We didn't win. I found the numbers on the NY Lotto site.

The numbers were 21 25 26 50 51 and 22 was the all important 6th number.

We weren't even close☻

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

WELL.. that shows I am NOT worth a crap guessing those #..LOL I did get 26.. out of how many guesses..lol TY for the fun LU!! You are a jewel!!

Carrollton, TX(Zone 8a)

Hey Becky - you need Liriope? - I have a ton - have it as my front of the house edge plant - want me to bring some to RU?

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Lu, You are an Angel for trying; guessing the numbers and the anticipation is so much fun. I signed out early last night and booted up at 6 am to see if we were rich. I read down from the top and didn’t even cheat and read the last post first.

Becky stay safe, wish we could blow that bad boy back out to the ocean.

Raining here this morning some, Fay leftovers, so I will force myself into house cleaning mode. The rest of the weekend should be nice and sunny so I will not want to be stuck doing it then. I am also solar powered, have such are hard moving in all this gloom.

Morning all hotties, hope your day is great.

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Morning Hotties.

After six hours of weedeating, raking and digging monkey grass (liriope), I would not trade it to my best friend or enemy. I don't have any best enemies though :)) Keith and I worked and worked and that bed is still not clear. I got two huge blisters on my thumbs even wearing gloves, and no, I do not have pampered hands. And, I sunburned under the safety glasses, so know I look like a pink racoon.

Hope everybody is safe from Gustav. I have not turned on the news today, so have no idea where he went or is going.

We've got a cookout going on Sunday afternoon, so I will be MIA for awhile. Everybody have fun and a safe weekend! Peg

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

So funny Peg, you must look so cut with your pink mask. I can not keep a Lilirope alive, I tried a few times they do fine for the season and never come back. I’m supposed to have the perfect environment for them but I’ve had no luck. Not a problem they are not even close to a favorite. I just tried them because they are supposed to be fool proof. Well not for me.
Oh and cookout “Yum” what time do you want us all to show up? Heehee.

Athens, PA(Zone 5b)

If no one wins the jackpot this time or Wednesday, I'll try us one more time next Friday. Thanks for trying with me folks! I stood a better chance with all you Hotties than by myself, alone☺☺So be thinking of some extra special numbers☺☺

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

Good morning hotties!

Well Gustav is by the Caiman Island's area, it does not look good for the US now. Beckie yeah that Grrrrrrr was for you but i love you already remember and i'll be thinking an praying that Gustav goes away somehow.

Meg, i do not seem to have a problem with Liorope, must be your hot hot weather in TX, they must love it!
So I see we are still poor posyblossom, here goes another grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, you are so sweet for trying!
OK see ya later. have a fantastic day everyone!

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Morning Hotties!!
Well I guess i'll show up to work next week ; }.Thanks for trying for us LU!!!
I pray that Gustav will fizzle out.

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Clemen, sweetie, I don't think it is the Texas weather here. Lov ya.

Numbers, definitely 13, 32 and 50.

Foggy and muggy outside. Going to be going out in spurts until the fog is gone.

Smoking a whole pork tenderloin Sunday! Come on, there will be plenty.

Puppy Love has the leaf edges curling up on it. This is after Miracle Grow, diluted as instructions. I must have weird brugs cause mine do not like fertilizer. But they are in composted, amended soil, so maybe that is rich enough for them until they get bigger?

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Here's the curly leaves

And here's the new bed, cleaned up yesterday, with the four brugs and my three new baby hostas.

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Peg, I have 2 large burgs that hate fert, they do the strangest things. All the others, even the little ones, no big problems.

Pork tenderloin, YUM, YUM

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning all you Hotties.
Well we did not win the lotto last night! Oh well, better luck next time.
Hope you all have a great week-end. Don't burn the pork tenderloin!
Linda Kay

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Peg, you burg pic looks just like my New Orleans Lady, I call her Ms Crinkles. I hardly give her any food now and the new leaves look better. But she did not like the recipe shower nor does she seem to care for the fish stuff. I’m afraid to feed her much because she has about 12 buds.

The new bed looks great, plenty of room for more plants. Yippy

(Cathy), MO

Yes Beckie it was me. Sounds like several in here have it too. If you still need more after all the generous hotties sis's, it was moretz. I haven't talked to her for a few months but she said she had lots before. She was trying to clean out a bed of it I think. It was just the normal, not the variegated.

Good morning everyone! Stay safe from all the storms out there

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Happy long weekend to all you Hotties..... did I miss Kittylover Hottie Welcomes??? (Thought those marbles ya'll so sweetly/conivingly ;) sent me were gonna help..teehee) Welcome or Welcome back Kittylover... You southern hotties are ALL in my thoughts and praying Gus blows himself out, but I doubt he does. My boss has a barge terminal in Baton Rouge, we've been watching Gus all week at work... he canceled his trip down there next week, so I'll have to contend with him and his son and BFF (best friend forever) from college ALL week.... (BIG GRRRRRRRRRRRRR on that one-lol) Debbie and I will have the 3 ring circus in office all week... thank goodness it will be a 4-dayer.. lol Peg, poor thumbs, but I bet it looks so much different once you removed the goggles, stepped back and looked... so maybe Keith can get a pic of the "mask" for us??? please, Keith.... liriope grows so dense for me, where I had it anyway, the solid seems to be more prolific than the variegated... Lu, what a sweetie you are, the lotto anticipation is so fun. I have a problem getting on the computer in Drew's old room in the evenings, it seems... (Mel and I are having him help us relocate it to the living area next weekend-too many wires and cords NOT color coded cause he built it himself) AND no posting pics from here till I find my camera cord (or buy a new one)... I am enjoying evenings outside these days.. Beck, margarita's w/extra sugar-frozen or on the rocks? I'll have some ready!! Louise, get that lurker sis of your's on here, is she coming to the RU with ya?? Does she need some brugs? Louise's sis, we're just crazy acting sometimes, NOT really crazy, just silly and we support each other how ever we can. So Louise, when is the Groomer has it people coming? Me and Mel are SO excited for you! Clemen, Hi to you sweetie (It's Peg, not Meg, dear ;) hehe Did you get over to see Gordons roof top? If you have any strings with Gordon, AuntB really wants a start off his Ludger's brug... ;) (I'm such a worker.... lol) I'll ask him, soon, he'll be hauling everything in soon like the rest of us zone denied holics... Kim, I guess I didn't realize you bake professionally. Sounds SO yummy... Mel started decorating cakes this year, she's doing pretty good and gets better all the time... Ace of Cakes is one of our fav shows...She made Drew a cute Nintendo controller cake this year - (pics at work) Bet your house smells delish! I'm still coffeeing, and fertilizing the brugs that are on the agenda today (what's new?? lol) Potting up! Getting some rooted coleus starts "buried" for the round up next month, too. Someone asked about my hib food... Barry Schlueter (sp) a well known hybridizer and a DG'er (not active at the moment, I miss him) told me 20-20-20 is the best for hibs. There are some different opinions in the hib world, but I guess I'm sticking with Barry. Tomato food is usually 20-20-20 but I always check the pkg... MG 20-20-20 is either obsolete or hard to find so I've been buying Fertilome. I best get started on my list-- Everyone stay safe and Fay, only the best coming your way hon, we're praying for hubby and you. Enjoy the day! ((((((((Hotties)))))))))- Bonnie

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Mornin girlies!!

Yep.. Gustav is still on course.. right on top of us here. They haven't set an evac for the nursing home yet, but I know Momma will be going to Ennis TX S of Dallas.. so I am going to get the camper ready.. just in case!! By Sunday Morning we should know what we have to do..

Kitty lover.. what is your real name?? I like to at least KNOW the real you.. before I start BEGGING... LOL OHH I'd LUV all the Liriope you could send my way!! See if I have anything you like in return!! Oh.. and BTW.. I'll be taking all the lil RU plants with me if we run from Gustav!!..lol.. well they aint so lil.. most are in gal. pots!!

Clemie... at least I know you still love me, so you grr all you want! and the liriope sure doesn't grow as tall as Pegs pic here in TX.. at least NOT in my poor ol soil! That's why I figured she had liriope more so than monkey grass

Peg...ohhhh I feel for you on the blisters!! That hurts soo bad..but you gotta look cute with the mask!! Have fun at the BBQ!! Maybe I can get Lyle to do a lil of that.. thats one thing I aint going to learn how to do!

Kim.. been meaning to ask.. are you a baker.. caterer?? You so love to bake.. sure wished I lived closer.. I'd be your taste tester!!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

OMG, you Hotties, I can't keep up!!!! lol (course if I didn't post such l o n g posts) I need to get in gear, it's almost 10 and the heat will be here today, 86 forecast... I hear them babies calling "AuntieB- we need more room, choke-choke, help us" have fun you dear ladies, I'll (try) to catch up later!

Carrollton, TX(Zone 8a)

Becky - My real name is Esther - how close are you to Houston?

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Welcome Esther. Love that name!!! Peg try tomato fertilizer or a fertilizer that has a higher end number. The potassium will help equalize your nitrogen content. Usually curled leaves (not due to insects) is caused by too much nitrogen. The leaves literally outgrow the supporting vein structure causing it to pucker and curl. Tomato fert seems to straighten them out pretty fast. I have one that did that after miracid, which is really high in nitrogen.
Bonnie my sis cannot come, she has to work or is going somewhere I forget which. Maybe in the spring. She just is not as chatty as I am, although she does lurk lol. Roben, if you are reading this you are a lurker!!! Lurker lurker!!! I gave her two brugs already and she is currently out of room with all the stuff we acquired this summer. I keep trying to give her more, but so far she is resisting my efforts somewhat lol. If she gets any more I am going to have to overwinter it for her.
MMMM pork tenderloin!!! I will be there with plate in hand! Our family crest is a crossed knife and fork!
Someone is passing out margaritas!! I have some mango margarita mix!! Can we bring alcohol to the round up??lol

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Ester.. nice to meet you.. and if you are new to this thread.. I welcome you too!!.. I keep forgetting..lol since you are on the other threads I go to. Girl.. I just posted on the RU thread that they are evacuating Momma from the NH this afternoon, and we are running in the morning!! Doesn't sound good for us!! Gustav could still come right over our house. We are 17 miles W of Jasper.. 2 1/2 hours NE from Houston. I am out there now getting the camper ready.. I'll be back on in a lil bit. I will bring my laptop ,but if we don't stay were there is wireless I won't be on for a ??? days!!.. but I will be back on letting you know our plans

(Cathy), MO

Keep yourself and your family safe Beck! That's what's important. We will be here when you get back. Just stay safe!

And the same for anyone else in the path of Gustav. Please do whatever you need to do to stay safe.

Welcome Esther!

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Welcome Esther, nice to meet you.

Becky you and your family hightail it out of there before traffic gets heavy. Do whatever you need to do to stay safe. We will be here praying for you.

Roben if your lurken, hello from me.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Please Hotties, secure your plants, gather your important things, and get out of harms way. Material things can be replaced, our hotty families can not!
It is already pushing a cat 5 level. of more than 155 miles per hours winds. That is not a good thing. I heard, all mobile homes in the path, will not survive it, and even houses will have major damage!
Our prayers to all those out there traveling, and running from the storm.
Be careful
Linda Kay

Midwest City, OK(Zone 7b)

Oh, Beck, take care, gal, Lyle and Mom. If you can't get online, get one of the Dallas DGers to give us any updates please. I cannot believe how this storm is shaping up and how many people are going to get hit, again!!

Louise, no alcohol at the Arlington RU and probably most because they are "family-oriented" and usually at public parks.

Louise, I think you're right, because I know our compost is nitrogen high. LOL, on your family crest. I would so put a picture of that in my kitchen!

Welcome Esther!

Peg

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

OMG just can't catch up, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

I am praying for all in the storms path. Please do whatever you have to do to be safe! If you run to Nebraska you can stay with me!! lol

Carrollton, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks for the welcome - These are my first brugs - when they arrived they looked pretty sad - they left East TX and went to Jordankittyjo first - then she sent them to me - and when the guy brought them - he didn't ring the bell - so the poor babies were sittin at my front door for I don't know how long - they were baked - one did die - I thought both melon kisses did - I had still potted them up after soaking them in some cooler water - one melon kiss made it - the stem shriveled all the way down to the last node - after 10 days -I had leaves on it

Becky be safe! - category 5?! - last time I heard it was cat 3 - We're in a suburb of Dallas - so we'll still get a storm - but far enough away from the coast - Where were going to put your camper Becky? Are you going to go to the place you are camping for the ru's early? Who do you have that can let us know you're ok?

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

BECKIEEEEEEEEEE, my prayers are with you!!!

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Everyone in the path please get to safety!!!
Welcome Ester : )

Carrollton, TX(Zone 8a)

Becky - I d-mailed you my phone number

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Hi Hotties, went to the car show....my day off and I am up at 5:30....what's wrong with that picture...had a good time and it was a beautiful day. Cool in the morning and about 85 when we left. Lots of neat old cars all fixed up.

No gardening today, got everything watered.

Versi just finished blooming and I will be darn if it isn't putting on more blooms! It is amazing!!

My ginger has grown so much that the fiberglass pot it is in is no longer round but oblong....

Tomorrow is nothing but planting and repotting.....will thin iris and weed when and if I get time.......so that probably isn't going to happen....

Who is in the path of the storm? Please be careful....

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Just a sec here.. cooling off ..lol... Ty for the # Esther.. don't be surprised if I call.. we'll have a mini RU before the RU!!
We're going to try to stay at Bardwell Lake.. Momma is in Ennis.. so it isn't that far

You bet I'll keep ya'll informed!! I luves you girls!! I am hoping we will take of tonight.. it'll be late but we have the generator so we can stay just about anywhere.. we just need a lil head start cause during Rita we were 12 hours to go 200 miles!!

Ty soo much my hottie sis's for the well wishes.. I just HATE I planted13 of my brugs in the ground....waaaaaaaaaaa.. yep.. 13 is not my lucky #..
