The shop looks great Louise, love the walls. Fantastic job grooming little Lucy lui, they can be a challenge when matted to the skin. She looks so pretty all dolled up.

Cat and Donna your brugs are drop dead fantastic! Bonnie I missed that hib pic earlier. That is really pretty! I looked at my brug and there are definitely flower buds there. They are small, now about 1/4 inch but definitely flowers!! I gave her a dose of high P fert to help. The leaves are very irregular above the Y. I am excited but now it probably won't bloom until time to bring it in!

Good night ladies. Have sweet smelling garden dreams!

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

I am still up! I am shopping on ebay lol.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Louise... pamperedpouch.. something or other has really great deals. I have bought from her.. BEFORE I realized where she was getting them from..LOL.. I had a lil disagreement on the camera I bought, and got a ^%#@! email from the sellers MOTHER.. can you believe?? I asked the girl.. how old is the camera... she says.. "um... I got it last Christmas"..ok.. I "assume" she meant Dec. 2007.. I get the camera and the date set on it is August 27, 2007..hmmmmm??????? I told her before I left feedback, I wanted to tell her I felt she intentionally did NOT tell me the truth.. Her MOM said I called her a liar.. well?????..lol.. but I didn't call her a liar. And she stated flat rate shipping.. I assume that is priority... ohhhh she really got hot on that... Boy.. sometimes ya just want to "do" something to some people!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I think we have all been stung from ebay sellers. I don't do much shopping there any more. I don't like getting ripped off on shipping prices! Plus if you pay with pay pal, you can file a complaint with them, pay pal will take the money back, and give you a refund.

I've always been a little leery of ebay. I know people though, who swear by it and have got some really good deals. I did order a brug a few weeks ago from there. American Pride. I was wanting a double yellow and figured it was worth the chance

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I ordered some brugs also, about 8 weeks ago, and they were supposed to be 3 foot tall plants. I got 18 inch wilted twigs!!!
Thye are just now coming around and starting to fill out with some new leaves. Don't know if they will make it or not.
Linda Kay

(Cathy), MO

Mine was pretty small, but seems to be holding it's own. Just hoping it's what it was supposed to be! :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

The one's I am looking for are Miss Emily McKenzie, and Dr. Suess. i would love to have a cutting of them. That would make 14 for me. But wether they have names or not, I love them all!
Linda Kay

(Cathy), MO

I bet someone on this thread has them. I figure we will all be sharing cuttings this fall.

Athens, PA(Zone 5b)

lavender, your shop looks wonderful and I bet you won't stack up the animals in cages for hour on end before you get them groomed. A local groomer here in town does that and I think it is so cruel☻Good Luck with your new business☺

All the Brug Bloomers, wonderful to see☼ I can't wait till I can share mine with all you hotties♫ I,however, am being forced to be a "coolie" because the temp went down to 50F last night. I hope it won't affect the blooming of my Brugs.......worry,worry,worrywart‼

The plants are getting quite a bit of attention in the Hood due to the size and many of the neighbors are roaming around back to see the buds and looking forward to some blooms. Most of the neighbors have never seen a Brug plant, let alone some blooms☺

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I don't shop much on it, but my DH does. We bought a car one time, but before paying for it he jumped on an airplane flew to Miami looked at the car got back on the plane and came home. No car. What a rip off this guy was. My DH left a honest description of the car, so then the seller gives my DH a bad rating. After that we must of received 3 or 4 phone calls from people who got ripped off. The bad thing ebay still let him keep selling...so it is buyer beware. We have also made really good purchases...just like most places.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Morning Hotties!! In house meeting today BORING.... I will be trimmng MEM this fall Linda : ) Lu I get folks peepping over the gate too theres even a fella says it smells nice when he sits out in the evening : ) Ok back to the excitement ; }

(Louise) Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

wonderful pic cat!! Well I have shopped and sold ebay for years. You DO have to be really careful and always, ALWAYS search the internet for a better deal before you bid. Alot of the stuff you can buy online somewhere else for less. I only buy ebay when I know I cannot get a better deal. For plants you should shop the Daves market. Or beg for it here LOL.

(Cathy), MO

That was the problem, no one HAD American Pride. Ebay was the only place I could find it. All my others have come from DG members. I did order 1 more from SeedSprout but haven't got it yet.

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Hi Hotties, (and the one Coolie(who's really a hottie), lol) Cat and Donna, pink! So pretty! How's the smell? "sniff em if you got em", cute Kim... and boy did I sniff last night. My ol Mama PVersi has a puny flush going but she smells up the whole deck and garden area! I got home later than expected last night so I was out there w/ torches lit and the flash light... (I wasn't in my nightie this time) I did snap a couple pics this a.m. before I left. Clemen that sure IS a "mad" dog you got there, how cute.. Oh Louise, are you saying those ARE buds on my zig-zag or rick-rack cactus? Becky, I was too pooped to pop last night, I missed you all. Hi Posey! Linda Kay, I don't have MEM or Dr. Suess, I'd sure share if I did..
Peach Versi - very aromatic

50 degrees is fine for brugs.. 32-NO I think the cooler temps allow the blooms to last longer. Maya finally coloring up- 3rd morning for this bloom.

Lil Antique Lace, she's starting her 1st ever flush, 3 blooms right now.... and my SnowQueen variegated hibiscus with blooms #2 & 3 (started from a 4in cutting 3 years ago.. See how patient I am?? haha.. I think I need to put the pot up on a stand, the blooms hang down and are hard to see.

Ladies, I don't know how I lost the thread, but I do that once in a while! I read so many, by the time I read them all, I forget I missed one!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Audrey, I lose threads all the time. it will take me a day or more to find it, and then catch up with everything.
Love the pictures, keep em coming.

South Coast, RI(Zone 6b)

Morning all Hotties and Coolies,
Cold here in RI this AM also, E-pinks bloom is still there and getting pinker. We had some severe TS last night and it poured so I was happy she did not lose it. Yesterday 90 and muggy today 70 and dry but the plants don’t seem to mind too much. I lost my connection last night due to the TS and now is the first chance I’ve had to look in this morning. So much going on, eBay and cute little puppies, beautiful bloom and gorgeous burg trees. By the time I get this posted there will be a bunch more posts or me to read. I will read every one but not to much time to write while in work.
Later Hotties I’ll be lurking.

(Jan) So Milw, WI(Zone 5b)

Linda Kay: I actually had a flower blooming on one of my NOID's and I never even had noticed a bud!!! Finding the bud on the SG was accidental also! I was trimming the lower leaves and growth off all my 'bigger' brugs stems as I want to grow them as standards and they were all sooo bushy.

This is OT but I HAVE TO mention it!!! I had wanted a "Flowering Pregnant Onion Plant" for a long time and finally rec'd a momma plant along with some baby bulblets a couple of years ago. I could not figure out why NONE of my babies would grow from the bulblets and there were many that my momma plant produced :( I finally realized, two years later, that the baby plants look like a spear of grass and I was 'weeding' them out of the planter!!!!!! I was doing my usual 'weeding' (this past weekend) when I noticed the little (familiar) bulb that the 'spear of grass' was growing out of ---- DUH!!!! Next year I will have many POP's....finally! Red hair = rusty brains?!
