Violent thunderstorms brought 0.66" rain last night, cloudy & cool now but clouds breaking up fast giving way to forecasted mostly sunny skies today, expected high of 82°.

Overcast, damp and cool. This is august isn't it? Drizzle to light rain off and on, no breeze and the temp is once again barely hitting 60. Yuck!

I think I went to sleep and woke up in October! BRRR! The wind is chilly!

Constant rain! Of course we didn't like the drought last Aug. Plants waiting to go out--but there will be more weeds where they should be planted.

A small side note which made the Buffalo News today.

The National Weather Service reports that so far this summer, we (Buffalo) have had rain 38-days out of the 53 since summer officially began on June 20.

And even worse, its been wet 16 weekend days out of 21.

I think that goes for the Mid-Hudson Valley, too, WNY! Yesterday was wicked t-storms all day! My rain guages says 2 1/4" just from yesterday! but we need rain. There are some countries that would kill for just an ounce of our rain. Blessings today, all!

Sun comes out, it's 85. Cloud come in, it's 60. I'm weeding with shorts on 'til it started raining and I had to put on jeans and a sweatshirt. What a day.

We're starting to grow webs between our toes here. Still, any day without the lightning, hail, etc. is okay by me!

Weather's been great here this summer - I don't think we even hit 90 once!

This is the weather I love feels like September already, another beautiful convertible day.

We have had Sept. weather too. In April someone said we would have a cool-wet summer. Coupla days ago someone said we would have a early Fall.

Yay........I finally have the internet! The storms have just made havoc of my DGing lately!

Today is a quintessential perfect New England Day here in NH at our farm. I get so excited when we have a day to do nothing but what we want to do. We both voted to just enjoy the beauty of the day today.......so much fun to play around my garden! Tonight we will have lots of veggies for supper.........the cukes and tomatoes and broccoli and green beans are primo! We've been in Conn. for a couple of days, so there's lots to see around the yard. Dahlias are opening up and looking so pretty! Just a perfect weather day.......60 degrees, low humidity and sparkling sunshine with NO RAIN for the day. It rained last night just before we arrived home. Everything was very wet.

A perfect day here, too. High 70's with a few passing clouds.

Yesterday was a perfect summer day here. Today it is overcast and misty. 68 now and not going up beyond mid 70's. Town will be mobbed, I will be not leaving home today. I spent yesterday on the water. But no sun burn. Here are the Beetle Cats ("Rainbow Fleet") racing. Patti

Same conditions as Patti only a bit chillier. Temp is only 58 degrees without the benefit of the warming from the water, usual chance of rain again. We can use it.
