South China, ME(Zone 5a)

The last one had over 300 post, a bit slow loading. Here's a picture of my favorite tree minus leaves. Unfortunately a scene that will FALL upon us all too soon. Sorry about the pun...couldn't resist!

Thanks for the new thread Pixie, an early fall seeming more and more likely. I will enjoy the thought of Japanese Beatles freezing!

Temp 65.3°, wind NW 0.8, Rh 65%, Baro 29.56 steady. ☺

Violent thunderstorms brought 0.66" rain last night, cloudy & cool now but clouds breaking up fast giving way to forecasted mostly sunny skies today, expected high of 82°.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Overcast, damp and cool. This is august isn't it? Drizzle to light rain off and on, no breeze and the temp is once again barely hitting 60. Yuck!

Sue, RI(Zone 6a)

I think I went to sleep and woke up in October! BRRR! The wind is chilly!

South Hamilton, MA

Constant rain! Of course we didn't like the drought last Aug. Plants waiting to go out--but there will be more weeds where they should be planted.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

A small side note which made the Buffalo News today.

The National Weather Service reports that so far this summer, we (Buffalo) have had rain 38-days out of the 53 since summer officially began on June 20.

And even worse, its been wet 16 weekend days out of 21.

Craryville, NY

I think that goes for the Mid-Hudson Valley, too, WNY! Yesterday was wicked t-storms all day! My rain guages says 2 1/4" just from yesterday! but we need rain. There are some countries that would kill for just an ounce of our rain. Blessings today, all!

Southeastern, CT(Zone 6a)

Sun comes out, it's 85. Cloud come in, it's 60. I'm weeding with shorts on 'til it started raining and I had to put on jeans and a sweatshirt. What a day.

Millbury, MA(Zone 5a)

We're starting to grow webs between our toes here. Still, any day without the lightning, hail, etc. is okay by me!

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Weather's been great here this summer - I don't think we even hit 90 once!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Lucky you, Al.
This is the weather I love feels like September already, another beautiful convertible day.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

We have had Sept. weather too. In April someone said we would have a cool-wet summer. Coupla days ago someone said we would have a early Fall.
Who ever you are?
What are the predictions for Winter?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Temp 70.3°, Wind WNW 4.9, Rh 56%, Baro 29.68 steady. ☺

Nice & cool this am, mostly sunny skies. Today's Predicted high is 83°.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Since they have been changing the forecast every 5 minutes, who knows what today will bring.

Looks like it will be sunny and rain free like yesterday, though they called for thunderstorms.

I tried to see what the Old Farmer's Almanac http://www.almanac.com/ says about the upcoming winter, but they charge for that area

:-(

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I stopped looking at FA when they chaged for long range forcasting.
I used to keep that Mag like a bible.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Yay........I finally have the internet! The storms have just made havoc of my DGing lately!

Today is a quintessential perfect New England Day here in NH at our farm. I get so excited when we have a day to do nothing but what we want to do. We both voted to just enjoy the beauty of the day today.......so much fun to play around my garden! Tonight we will have lots of veggies for supper.........the cukes and tomatoes and broccoli and green beans are primo! We've been in Conn. for a couple of days, so there's lots to see around the yard. Dahlias are opening up and looking so pretty! Just a perfect weather day.......60 degrees, low humidity and sparkling sunshine with NO RAIN for the day. It rained last night just before we arrived home. Everything was very wet.

A perfect day here, too. High 70's with a few passing clouds.

Willie and WC - I've got my fingers in my ears, my eyes closed, and yelling "la, la, la, la - I can't hear you!"

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

High 70's and beautiful....spent the day at Acadia National Park.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Lucky you, Celeste....it must have been so pretty at Acadia!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Wow, that's what you call red as a lobster!

It was a lot more humid(60%) today than it was yesterday. Back to feeling like summer.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Yesterday was a perfect summer day here. Today it is overcast and misty. 68 now and not going up beyond mid 70's. Town will be mobbed, I will be not leaving home today. I spent yesterday on the water. But no sun burn. Here are the Beetle Cats ("Rainbow Fleet") racing. Patti

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Same conditions as Patti only a bit chillier. Temp is only 58 degrees without the benefit of the warming from the water, usual chance of rain again. We can use it.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Temp 68.5°, Wind 0.0 NNE, Rh 64%, Baro 29.59 steady. ☺

Mostly cloudy here, damp & cool, possibility of showers this late afternoon/ evening.

(Nice shots Pixie & Patti!)

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

I could make you seasick with that bad horizon line! Sorry. Patti

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

There's no rule that says the horizon has to be level in my book, The perspective makes the pic look realistic. As if someone was sitting down, leaning forward to take the shot. ☺
