tassel flowers

I have them in a planter under a window. the hummers like them and the goldfinches come for the seeds. it's wonderful to have the birds come right up under the window. I'm planting these again next year

FlowerJen: I have no reason for removing them, other than I think they look untidy. I believe it is a "bad? habit" I picked up from grandma.

Thanks, Redchic. Jaakob is a riot of fun! Nice Backlit Shot of the flower in the sunset. I think there is a forum for excellent photos like that!

However, ALL the pictures are top notch on this thread!! Too many for me to add to my small suburban yard. But, rest assured, I will try my darndest!!

I think I have to get a hummingbird feeder for my yard by next year!

Oh my goodness so many terrific shots. Massive EE looks ready to take over the world, beautiful lilies and roses, and gorgeous chance photos are very very nice. Love to see pics of hummers, nice vines blooming and I like the tassel flower too. So many wonderful pics and blooms to see every day here. :)
A couple of pics from me today. First I recall someone posting these recently and now there they are growing in my shade bed. A lot of strange things popping up this year.

And this little guy kept trying to rest but the wind kept blowing his wings up, he finally found another spot I think.

Beautiful pictures, Redchic. Glad you stopped to take a picture for us to see!
Here's Dahlia 'Santa Claus'. Glad I got a picture this morning. We just had a massive hail storm roll through. Lots of holes in the plants now.
