These seeds came from Emma, All I can say is WOW!!!!
Would this be Lavender Mist?

This one is a little more of a grey than it looks. Not near as blue as it seems but every picture I take shade or sun the blue comes out not the true grey. It looks great growing in the with Split Personality Pink and BTW the Split Personality are just blooming their little hearts out, tons of blooms on them everyday.

I thought these were different with the red band in them. Emma did this come from you??? I had something similar but definitely different last year.
BTW Emma, You sent me some of the George Strait seeds but I gave them to my DIL as soon as she saw the name she just had to have them. I'll have to ask her how she is doing with them.

Nice variety of MGs you have growing there, Holly! Where in your yard do you have them growing?

I have problems getting certain colors to show up when using my camera, too. Deep purple is a color my camera doesn't always recognize. It wants to convert it to a deep blue.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Becky I have them scattered out all over the place. All the ones that are blooming right now are in the back yard which gets the most sun. Most of these are growing in my deckboxes. I have two other smaller trellises in the back yard and a few growing on the Gazebo and the Pole for the Hummer feeder. Then I have one around the side of the house attached to my Potting shed and the window boxes out front that are really filling up with leaves but no flowers yet. They are in the shade almost all day and last year they were the last to bloom, too. But really put on a show when they started.
Here is a picture of my window boxes just looking pretty green right now. As you can see we are working on a new stone wall. The wall in the back has been there for years. We decided to add a new curved wall in front of the old one. It is a step lower than the old one. They are both empty right now I removed all the plants from the old bed in preparation for the work we are doing.

Hi Holly -

Great Blooms.
Love your Pink I. hederaceae

This one is Gray Morning Mist
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5361790

This one
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5361850
looks like Blue Early Call that I grew last year based on the 'Blue' that I see, however, if it is Gray as you have described, it is probably a *Cross* x Gray Haze. If the blooms are a 'True Gray' it would be Gray Haze.

This one is a WOW ! ! !
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5361890
It doesn't look like anything I have grown before and is a very pretty MG.

Your Window Boxes are nice . . .

Emma

Holly - Very nice rock work going on there! I would like to do something like that myself, but rock is outrageously priced here. Your window boxes look GREAT!!! I bet they bloom later as the sun changes in the sky and maybe casts a little sunlight on them as the season winds down. I wonder if some bloom booster would encourage them to bloom sooner?

I would love to see a photo of your gazebo. That is something that even my dh would enjoy having in our small yard. Ah ... I can dream! LOL! It sounds like you enjoy vines and have some perfect structures for them to climb! :-)

Gautier, MS

Very nice blooms Holly, I love that gray one too!!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Nice Holly seems we have lots of gray fans here, I like it too!

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks everyone,
Emma, It really is gray, almost as gray as the Gray Morning Mist. There was another that looked very much like it, shape and size but much more purple.
Becky we have a lot of local stone. All of that was collected from near our home. Those really big ones came from a bridge that they are removing and replacing just down the road. Most of what is laying in the yard came from there, too. It's our local Red Stone which is a type of sandstone.
This is a picture from last year that looks a bit like the one with the red band. I collected seeds from it last year and have some planted around.

Holly -

Great MG
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=5362820
Love the leaves. They look like more of a chartreuse color.
So then - it appears that what you have growing is some kind of cross. Maybe Ron can give some input on this one

Ronnie . . .
Wow

Ronnie & Joseph your blooms are really AWESOME!!

Norfolk, VA

This was supposed to be my i purpurea x nil hybrid , but it must' ve skipped a generation for flower color, but the seed pods on the on this plant are unbelievably white instead of light green. I will try harvesting seeds from this plant and see if I can get something different the next growing season.

Here's the hybrid craming on the fence but the flowers are still sky blue.

I have Shi-Kanoko flowering up now, which is great! I have another one however that is slate grey picotee as well. At first I was going to rip out that vine to keep a pure seed collection but after a little while I grew to like the Shi-Kanoko not. Shi-Kanoko has variegated leaves and the other one lacks this trait so maybe I can keep them separated come seed collection time.

Beautiful blooms Holly, Ronnie and Joseph.

The photo I id'd as Blue Tie Dye not in thread 9 or 10 was
actually A's cross of Blue Tie Dye x No sora. This bloom
opened today and is from the same vine. This one has a larger
area of white in the thoat. Just partially open or already trying to
close against the heat.

One of my 4-5 Purple Blizzards. the 1st to open. No blizzard and not
the same color as last yr's. All of my seeds are open pollinated

Those are cool leaves on the blue tie dye x no sora, Jackie!

Joseph

Gautier, MS

Nice blooms Jackie and your leaves look good too.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Jackie - A shared some seeds of her Blue Tie Dye x No sora with me too. I haven't grown them out just yet. Very pretty! The purple blizzards came from a mix, didn't they? Weren't there pink and purple blizzards (and solids) in that mix? How neat that you've got a pink one this year!

Joseph - Your slate grey picotee is something else! I can see why it grew on you ... I love it! If you get enough seeds, I would love just a couple from your vine! It's really a unique color! And your blue speckled reverse tube JMG is to die for! I bet that one makes you smile every time it blooms! :-) :-)

MGMan - Your hybrid growing all over your fence is very interesting. I wonder if the blooms will change over time? You used Early Call Blue as one of the parents, what cultivar was the other parent of your vine?

Ronnie - ALL of yours are amazing! Your Hederacea Lavender/lilac is most fascinating! Is it a cross possibly?

Franklin, NJ

HollyAnnS...I planted Star of Yelta about five eight years ago and they just keep reseeding. They are gorgous but they strangle everything in their path. This year I relocated some to a spot where they can't do any harm and tried to eradicate the rest.Notice I said tried?
The deer are eating the ones I relocated and the volunteers just keep popping up everywhere.
Who new Satin could be so beautiful!?

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

dvhsr62 - Welcome!

I grew Star of Yelta as my very first Morning Glory over a year ago. And it too came back ... and kept coming back. I finally got all the volunteers pulled. You are right, it does tend to wrap itself around everything. That species is I. purpurea which tends to produce a LOT of seeds. Many of the blooms you will see here are I. nils as well as few other species. The I. nils don't seem to produce many volunteers and the blooms are usually large and showy. I have almost completely switched over to growing I. nils because of those two facts. Any I. purpureas I grow now are in pots sitting on concrete. And even then, seeds fall in the cracks and believe it or not ... GROW from the cracks in my outdoor patio! LOL!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Joseph and Helena
Becky, the Purple Blizzard seeds came from Emma. They were mixed in
with some of her other seeds. I had several nice surprises. If I
ever finish growing out those pkts, might find a few more.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

My Star of Yelta, reseeded from last years plants, also. I did collect seeds but got so many others in trade I never started any. I thought they might reseed and they sure did.
Becky, Ric finished my stone wall today. If you are interested in seeing it and the thread with the stone walkway he built use this link. It will take you to both threads. I'll post a few pics of the Gazebo for you soon. Now that the wall is done we are going to put the brick floor in the Gazebo. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/886228/
