ET Fall RU 10-11-08 Trade List
Mindy, So glad you will be joining us for the RU. You will feel like family after just a few minutes. Would love some of the lace cap and ever-blooming Hydranga if possible. Look at my list up top and see if you need anything from me.
Til Tomorrow!
Pam.. did you happen to see that I would like some cuttings of your HA hibiscus?? I understand they won't be rooted but that's ok.. please
Mindy, I have a night blooming Jasmine for you. It is not the greatest as I rescued it off the 75% off table. I have four of them and will share one with you. If you are a good nurse, it will be fine, as they are starting to mend and show some hope now that I have been watering and protecting them from the brightest sunlight.
I love all of your goodies and will be happy for whatever you care to share with me. The three named daylilies are at the top of my wants off your list, but whatever you have the most of is fine with me.
Glad you are coming to our RU and hope you join DG. You will have a great time with us.
Charlene
Beck, not sure if I have you down on my list at top, but had you ona slip of paperso have those on the list. I will be up early in the morning getting the cuttings so they will be nice and fresh.
Cocoa if you have any iris left I'll take a few of them for ya.
ok LOL....see ya there
Hey, Cocoa, don't forget to save an iris for me! Just one bulb... don't care what color or anything. I'd just like to put one of your irises in my "friends" iris bed.
That goes for anyone else who has irises to share, by the way.
Mindy, I can't make it to Tyler tomorrow, but if you don't find any takers for your Patriot, maybe we could work out a trade. I have Aphrodite, Lakeside Shoremaster, and Antioch that I'd be glad to mail you for Patriot. Can you use any of those? If you want Aphrodite or L.S., Beck gets first choice between them, since she's already shared hers with me. But she has Antioch already, so no strings on that one. If you can't use any of those, I should have more that I can divide in the spring.
By the way, Becky, did I mention that your Gold Standard is about to bloom? Can't wait to see the flower.
YAY.. Pattie... I am thinking one of mine bloomed.. I think it was the gold standard??.. anyway the largest white blooms I ever saw..
Mindy.. if you want to make the trade with Pattie.. choose anyone she has on her list.. I am not picky at all
Pam.. TY soo much.. I feel another addiction coming on bad with the hibiscus!! First year for me with them, and I am in love!!
Hibiscus are way underrated--well worth an addiction!
Becky, maybe they are hardy in your zone--I don't know. They are not hardy here. But I have one that just finished its fourth season. Every year I bring it into my sunny kitchen before first frost. It blooms big red blossoms for me all winter. I look out the windows at my bare dormant beds in January & February, and then I look at the hibiscus, and I can NOT tell you how much I love that! Really cheers me up. They don't all bloom like that over the winter. But I've never had one that didn't survive.
As for the hostas... I am not sure what they look like when they're mature. Most of my hostas are babies. Right now Lakeside Shoremaster and Aphrodite look a lot alike. Both should do well in our climate.
Mindy if you see this message I would like a
Bright green potato vine
and a hibiscus please....let me know what you'd like from my list ☺
Pattie... oooh aren't they worth the addiction..lol... I really love all the tropicals better for their flowers, but am more interested in the hardy ones.. just for the simple fact that I don't have a place large enough for the ones I have now.. come winter..lol... been wanting a greenhouse, but I don't see it happening this year.. maybe next, then I'll really go nuts! I know the HA hibiscus that Pam is offering probably wouldn't make it even here, so she'll have to be a pot baby!! But the foliage is soo neat!
You know.. I am still amazed how the same hostas that I divided last year are still some vareigated, and some more green this year. I was hoping as the season progressed I would see more variegation, but haven't. I wonder if that is common on all the varieties.. if and when you divide them??
Yeah, actually, I think it is. They apparently can look entirely different when they are young from when they're mature. But it takes 4-5 years for them to get to that point. And, every time you divide them, I guess they start all over again.
I haven't been growing them long enough to have any that old yet. My undulatas are 3 this year, and they're still streaky this year too. But they bloom several times a year, so what more could I want? :)
also keep in mind that some people are goin to the Ru next weekend in Arlington so if you can't come Saturday to Tyler and want to trade it could be worked out that the stuff can be brought to Arlington to you Pattie...LOL
Morning. BJ, and I are getting ready to head out in a bit. See you all soon.
LK
everyone be careful getting there
