Beans are getting scarce, this time of year, but I can get what I can find.

Linda Kay

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

Linda do you have mesquite wood for cooking?

I have no idea where to look to find it around here

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Does anyone coming to the RU have Calla Lillies by chance?

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Linda.. no I want the wood.. limbs.. for the BBQ pit.. I guess that is cooking..huh?? LOL Even twigs would be ok.. if they are fairly big..

Got you down Phyllis.. also I am wondering if your DLS are Kwanso??? Mine are very similar, except mine are darker in the shades of the colors..

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

Beck here is a picture of the flower it has and the leaves are just like regular day lilies

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Phyllis.. yeah you gave me 2 fans at the central RU and it bloomed.. it looks just like the Kwanso.. and it didn't set seeds... the Kwanso is maybe the only one that doesn't set seeds... only produces by propagation.. I really don't remember all I read.. but i "think" I am right... Google for Kwanso.. maybe that will help you.. oh.. and the leaves are the same on all dls

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Linda Kay, may I have a couple of the century agave plants?
Charlene

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Becky, I would love to have your flowering quince, a cutting of coleus 'Chocolate Mint,' oxalis 'Iron Cross,' and Zephyranthus robustus (pink rain lily).

Phyllis, I have you down for 'Ice Follies' narcissus and torch aloe. Could I get a couple of your little sassafras trees?

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Patrob if you have anymore Ice follies, would love some...or any other daffs...

"eyes"

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

well let's try again since my post didn't make it through for some reason

Thanks pat and sure thing will dig them today so they can get settled in pots but I'll tell ya the "roots" are just a hunk off the main one so they won't have lil hairy ones on them ......it seems that the trees sprout up off the main root and it spreads kinda like wisteria does as far and the root and new starts LOL

Becky I'll have to see if mine have any blooms still and compare the pictures...I have no idea they were here when we moved in.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

well.. I lost a post too..lol and for some reason.. as ya'll can see I actually did the bold letters..yay.. BUT.. it won't shaw all I have listed now... what's up?? Can anyone help me?? I can go back and look at it and it shows everthing I listed.. even on the preview.. but won't send to here...

Anyway..... LOL I love it...lol
Pat... I also have Burgandy Wedding Train.. I think that is what is is..lol it looks kinda like the choc. mint bit in smaller leave version and it trails.. want one?

Phyllis.. mine bloom right after the ditch... don't expect you to have anymore blooms.. BUT you grow them sooo big who knows??? LOL

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Becky, I would love to have a coleus 'Burgundy Wedding Train.' None of the ones I have now trail, so that would be perfect to grow over the rock edge of my hosta bed next spring.

"eyes," I have plenty of 'Ice Follies' narcissus/daffs to go around. They are wonderfully hardy and multiply like bunnies. I have not dug them for several years, and each original bulb has become a dozen. I'll bring you some small white daffs too. They make a clump very quickly and bloom at least six weeks after the 'Ice Follies.' (I'll add them to my list after I make sure I can actually find them in the crab grass that has taken over that bed.)

Gilmer, TX

patrob, If you have plenty, please put me down for some daffs. The only thing on my list now is tiger lilies, but will add more as I see what I have. Thanks, Pam

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Pam, I have you down for daffs as well. Would you like both the 'Ice Follies' and the small white ones?

I'd love to have some of your tiger lilies if you have enough. I had some years ago at our previous home and really enjoyed them.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

"eyes," may I have these from your list?

Tiki Torch Canna
Red Dazzler Canna
Marguerite Sweet Potato Vine

Patricia

Lufkin, TX(Zone 8b)

patrob, i would love some of you ice follies. i had some at the old house, but couldnt find them when i moved. :( i really enjoyed all my daffs last year. thanks

tracie

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I've got you down for 'Ice Follies,' Tracie. Would you put my name on some of your parrot glads and a start of the red and the purple verbenas if you have enough?

I am hoping to have some named daylilies that can be divided this fall as well. They have been in pots with afternoon shade since we had a well drilled last fall.

I "witched" for water myself, and right in the middle of the daylily bed was the only spot on the whole 1.5 acres that the rods really reacted. Here's what happened to one of my big iris beds. DH told me there might be a little pile of sand when the drilling was finished. Fine, I could use some sand. He did not know about all the water now used in well drilling. It created a huge mudslide probably 30' X 60' and 8-12" thick. The drillers diverted the mess from the backyard, not knowing that the iris bed was in the path of the mud as it was grown up in grass. It's incredible that any iris could survive, especially when the mess hardened like cement, but I have rescued some after they managed to get a leaf through and wave for help. I have a lot of reconstructing to do when it cools off a little, but we do have a very good well.

Lufkin, TX(Zone 8b)

patrob, will do, would love some of your daylilis, if you get around to them! always looking to feed my main addiction! lol

tracie

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Yes you certainly may Patob...if any of your lilies are tall and pink, I would like one or two of them also.

"eyes"

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Patricia... wow.. they must have had to drill a deep well..lol oh.. I hate that for you.. that is a lot of mess...2 of my uncles were known around here for their witching ... I tried one time and my uncle said I had the "gift"..lol.. but I never could convince myself that I could do it..LOL...oh.. and Tracie doesn't need any more dls.. but I sure would like some..lol.. sorry Tracie.. the devil made me do that!!..LOL

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Well, Tracie...I'll take some of yours...and that will leave you room for some of Patrob's ...^_^

"eyes"

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

Patrob, could I have some of the Ice follies if you have anymore. Or any daff.

I have lots of coleus and one is the Trailing Red if you would like some of it. Will try and get names on the have list, just gotta go out and write them all down.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, Lorraine, I still have daffs and will put you down for 'Ice Follies' and the small white ones. I love coleuses and will look at your list later on. It's too hot to be outside looking at labels right now! I think you mentioned having some hydrangeas too. Are those hardy ones?

Thanks, "eyes." Y'all are a mess! Fighting over a few lil ol daylilies! I'm an addict too, so I know firsthand that one can never have too many daylilies. I have the addiction so bad that I never delete a daylily or iris that has died from my database. I just change the text color to red. Then I start trying to trade for or find a replacement at a really good price.

I'm actually not ordering from Maryott's current sale as I don't need two double fans of any at this point. Buy one, get one free would be great if we could pick a different one of same or lesser value for the free one. I'm saving a lot of money by not participating. lol I'll use my savings for the next co-op that comes along. Addict for sure.

Lufkin, TX(Zone 8b)

oh, Becky, i am going to get you girl! lol you know better than to get between and addict and their fix!! oh, i have enough dirt left to build another raised bed and i am planning on doing it soon. Eyes, i have you down for some dls and verbena.

tracie

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

I will post my "haves" soon and hope to have some goodies.

Patrob- Please put a few of the Ice Follies back for me if still any left.
Bet I will have something to interest you.

DD

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I've got you down, DD.

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh my, I forgot to add to my wants that i want "everything that david has" In fact I want two.

I am adding what I think is called "Wild Hibiscus" (If it isn't , it's Pam's fault. Here's a pictue of it. The bloom is beautiful, what ever it is called.

Also, the hydrangeas need to be cut almost to the ground in the fall but come back the next year, bigger than before.

Thumbnail by LorraineR
(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

LorraineR could I have some of the Hydrangeas, some variegated foliage Please

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)
